[It's a dinner that was a long time in the making! (Sorry, Shiho.) Though Izuku doesn't have as many ingredients as he'd like to work with, he does his best with what he has available around the town. After spending the afternoon prepping and then cooking, everything's finally ready!

And just in time, apparently, because he thinks he can hear Kaoru and Shiho knocking at the door.]

Hey! [Izuku swings the door open with a grin as he lets them in.] No pizza delivery this time?

[She laughs.]

Well, it's rude to bring food when the host is cooking, right? That's like saying we don't think you'll do a good job so we're bringing pizza just in case.

[Some questionable time after the FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT (caps necessary) happens, Izuku remembers that Noctis hasn't cashed in on his prize yet and decides to send him a message.]

[After glancing through the comments in Bruce's post, Izuku realizes that if Kyrie's been keeping track of everything since day one, then this would be a great chance to double check his own list as well.

So, here's a surprise message in your inbox, Kyrie!]

Kyrie-san! This is Midoriya. I was wondering if you were busy right now?

[ A surprise!! Sort of, anyway. He wasn't sure who it would be from, but he sort of figured this sort of attention would come his way with his agreement to cooperate with Bruce.

Still, it isn't long before there's a response--he must not have been very busy after all. ]

What a redundant question. Surely asking something so stupid by way of these messages has the same effectiveness as leaving someone a paper note--whether they had been busy when your question had been sent or not doesn't matter, since the addition of "right now" implies that they ought to answer as they are at the time of their response, isn't that right?

Now, did you have a better question to ask of me? Or do you intend to waste my time with further roundabouts?

[It's like suddenly, he has so many questions about everything that happened this past week, and they all come flooding back in as soon as his curiosity returns. There's a lot to process, though, so rather than staying indoors, Izuku grabs the wish coin he's kept on his desk and heads out for the well.

He's not actually planning to make a wish yet, but he is curious to know how this might work. And wow, is it a relief to feel like investigating things again, even if he hadn't known anything was missing the whole time.]

Oh! [With these coins in play, it's no surprise that someone else is already near the well when Izuku gets there. It's someone that he recognizes, too.] Mutsu-san! It's good to see you again.

( He's looking down into the well when Izuku finds him. It's hard to believe that just a little while ago, he'd been down there and now here he is, up on land and experiencing a whole new world. He'd been a part of the second batch to appear from the well... so would another group appear? When would that happen? Who would be among them? Why did everyone come from the well? What was so special about it? And why does he feel like if he were to make a wish right now...

He has a hundred questions running through his mind and it's something he can relate to with Izuku. When he hears someone call him, he looks up, bright and cheerful like he wasn't just lost in thoughts a second ago. )

Midoriya-kun! Did ya come to see this place too? ( The well? ) What's on your mind?

( Is it the wishes? It's probably those wishes, isn't it? That's why everyone has been coming here, at least. )

Haru | 6/5

[With your curiosity gone, things are surprisingly boring. Who knew? Rather than staying glued to his laptop and poking around on the forum like he usually would do at this time, Izuku decides to head out to the gardens. They're soothing to look at, now that some of the flowers actually have color again, and Izuku's even made a point of moving more of the colored flowers into the greyer plots.

He's in the middle of doing exactly that when he notices he's got some company.]

Ah, sorry! I'm not in your way, am I?

Oh... Not at all!

[ Haru loves the gardens, so it isn't much of a surprise to find her there. Of course, as soon as someone addresses her, her eyes fly up to meet the other person's--

Her relationship with her father changed after her father skipped an important event; she became the model daughter, polite and smiling, well-spoken and deferential. Haru had expected her birthday following to be in the same vein: for her father, and for the appearance of it all... not for herself.

So, when he takes her out for a quiet dinner and spends the evening asking Haru about her life, her interests, her school activities, she's pleasantly surprised. ]

Um...

[ Right. That happens. Her expression changes, eyes dropping. ]

Sorry, what did you say?

Todoroki | Quest 12

[inheritance]

[Bag for carrying the wool back, check. One yellow...check! Shears...not quite check yet. Izuku hums, staring down at the various scissors and even a sharpened garden shear that are spread out on the table.]

I don't think we have the proper tools for wool shearing, but these should work, right?

[Right???]

[Shouto is, as always, ready and willing to go out on a quest with Midoriya. All he has to hear is a request and the answer will always be yes.

That said... sheep sheering seems like a very weird quest- but it's better than trying to kill something?]

Probably? I've never tried to sheer wool before.

Zelda | Quest 12

[With wisdom and knowledge between the two of them, this quest should go extremely smoothly, right? Or so one hopes.

Being the city boy that he is, though, Izuku is extremely clueless about anything involving farm animals.]

Zelda-san, have you ever shorn sheep before?

Honestly? No. [ don't ask princess zelda about farm work. not that she has told more than two people her title. ] Though I do have a basic idea of how it works! I just hope the sheep don't mind...

Noctis | Quest 12

[inheritance]

[When Izuku heads over to Noctis' place to get started for the quest, he can't help but grin a little at his friend.]

Last time it was geese, this time it's sheep. I think I'm starting to see a pattern here. [He shifts the backpack strap on his shoulder, and the movement sends the metal tools inside clicking together.] Have you done anything like this before?

[Because he sure hasn't.]

[ invisible sheep, that's just great -- noctis thankfully knows a little about tracking animals thanks to gladio, but they're both definitely going to have their work cut out for them. thankfully, he's doing this with izuku, who is one of his newest friends, and someone that he's discovered he actually works really well with. ]

I think we're forever burdened with the weirdest animals.

[ Noctis responds, curious at the metallic clinking sounds. ] Somewhat, but the animals in question were never invisible. You?

Maribelle | Quest 14

[inheritance]

[After the absolute fiasco that was the last quest, Izuku dutifully uses up some of his time to gather supplies for the clinic now that things are settling down again. On the way back, he stops by Maribelle's house, intending to drop the supplies off.]

Maribelle-san? [Knock, knock!]

[it takes a troubling long for her to answer the door, and when she does, it's a very tiny, slow creak, making sure she can't be seen.]

... Izuku? Is that you?

Okuyasu | 6/1

[inheritance]

[After finally reuniting with Ochako and spending some time with his best friends, Izuku decides to head over to Bluo to say hi to Okuyasu and check on his other best friend. Frankly, it's been a while since Iida turned into a statue, so Izuku isn't sure to get his hopes up by now. But!! At least he knows Iida will eventually return to normal. It's just a matter of waiting so he can be there to greet him when it happens.

When he gets to Okuyasu's place, though, something seems... off.]

Hey, Nijimura-kun? [Izuku pokes his head into Okuyasu's room.] Did you move Iida-kun's statue after you got back?

[pursestrings]

[Okuyasu has had his share of dramatic, emotional reunions as well, and by now he's just doing what he does best: idling, sitting around in his room looking at his weird mutant frog as it hops lazily around on his bed.

So, hey, what's up. No one knocks anymore, and Okuyasu doesn't seem to mind in the slightest or even notice. Hey!!]

Uh— no, dude. [boy, is this awkward--] I think he's, y'know... gone.

Josuke | 6/4

Here you go. [Izuku passes one of the knives over to Josuke, along with an onion.] Just dice them up and I can do the rest!

[It's been difficult to adjust to the really old style kitchens in Chroma, but Izuku's managed to do it out of necessity. He has to admit, though. As outdated as the kitchens are, cooking with friends is still as fun as ever, especially when you pick out the ingredients from the garden yourself, too.]

[ This reminds him of when he would help his mom out in the kitchen. It's actually a good distraction from how strange the draft over his own head feels, and the general dread that overcomes him whenever he's close to a mirror. ]

Sure. Thanks for inviting me over ... [ But why does Josuke sound like so dejected? Like his soul has been ripped out of him? Because he's dramatic, probably. He does start chopping the onion, nose wrinkling at the smell of it. ] What were you planning to make with all this?

Todoroki | 6/11

[It's something that shouldn't have happened, and to be honest, Izuku isn't sure what he should blame for this. His memory failing him or the sudden return of his curiosity, and the desire to just simply learn. Whatever the case is, (one) Izuku Midoriya forgets why, exactly, he'd set aside the potion from the spider in the first place and what it is.

It's only after he takes a sip and swallows that Izuku's hit suddenly with the thought "oh, wait, I was going to test these first, oh no!" But then the potion's already in his system and it's too late.

At least he's still at home?]

[Shouto takes the usual amount of time to wake up, which is to say, he wakes up very late. He looks blearily over at Izuku and tries to motion him back into their bed.]

Are you going somewhere?

[sirnyxalot]

[It's weird to say he's getting used to the awful things that have been happening to Chroma since the first group of them arrived to a dead city. No one should get used to the strange and impossible suddenly being not only likely but outright expected every couple of weeks. Even though this latest quest and the resulting rewards and punishments for their behavior during it had been a definite escalation, Nyx is mostly accustomed to waking up to chaos.

But as comfortable as Nyx is in being able to handle emergencies left and right, his own "reward" is the cruelest thing their anonymous handler could have given him. He wonders how much they know of him. He has no idea how they could have gotten that information in the first place. He's only told one person in almost ten years and she's not the kind of person to gossip. Not about someone like him.

Nyx sits in the dark in bluo, camped in a ruined lot he'd cleared up to make a training zone; a palmful of flame dances lazily in the breeze and spills light across an old, somewhat faded photo. His attention is so focused on it that he doesn't notice anyone walking by, and he hasn't moved much since the sun went down.]

[The first time Izuku passes by the training area and sees Nyx sitting there, Izuku doesn't think much of it. From what he's gathered, Nyx is a rather serious and quiet man when he wants to be, and Izuku decides not to bother him when he seems to be deep in thought about something.

The second time, though, Izuku pauses when he realizes Nyx hasn't moved at all since the last time he saw him. That's...admittedly concerning.]

Ulric-san...? [Izuku approaches him cautiously, brows creased together in worry.] Is everything okay?

[ it’ll be nice to spend some time with izuku, dextera thinks. they’ve already proven that they work well together in quests, especially animal-herding ones, and dextera is sure they’re going to find one way or another to get this sheep (these sheep? the quest was unclear) shorn before the day is out.

invisible or not, teamwork is undefeatable. probably? at any rate, dextera has decided to gather up a little bit of dirt in order to try to find the sheep by coating their wool in a layer of something visible. if they bump into one, at least they can keep an eye on it. ]

First time?

[Oh man, even if he feels a little lost at sea at times when it comes to learning the sign language, Izuku has to admit it's a good feeling when he's able to pick up what Dex is saying to him now. For the most part.]

Ah, I went with Shouto right after the quests were posted! But um, we were just trying to find tracks to follow at first. [He follows Dex's example, gathering up some dirt to toss at the sheep.] This is a good idea, Dextera-san!

Tonbokiri | 6/1

[When Izuku realizes that the rest of the missing people have returned to town, he hurries over to Tonbokiri's place. He's been making this trip every day to make sure his friend's horse is taken care of all the while, but this time, he hopes he can catch Tonbokiri there, too. Part of him feels guilty about leaving Tonbokiri behind in the yellow town, when they'd just decided to look out for each other.

He pushes the door open cautiously and glances inside.] Tonbokiri-san...?

[There is silence in the house, then a quiet sound as if someone is rolling over.]

Is that… Midoriya-dono? Good, you are safe. [Tonbokiri’s voice is tired-sounding, but as sincere as ever.]

Please, come in. I’m in the room just beyond the dining room.

[He can be found in a small room in the back of the house. A window lets in the pale light, and the furnishings are sparse. Having found a bed uncomfortable and too small besides, Tonbokiri is resting on a grass-filled mattress on the ground, covered by a thin blanket. His hair is unbound and all his clothing set on two chairs against the wall. Beside him is a glass of water and a plate of white, round shapes that may (or may not) be recognizable as some kind of daifuku.

His door is ajar and he smiles as he sees the boy approach, slowly pushing himself so he can sit up.]

It is good to lay eyes upon you again. Please forgive me for not coming to find you myself as soon as the quest ended.

Keith | Quest 13

[inheritance]

[When they meet up at the edge of the forest, Izuku's suited up in his hero outfit, armour pieces and all, and looking ready for a fight. It's not time to head in yet, though, not without discussing this first.]

So...the bogeyman. Any ideas what we should be prepared for?

[From what he's heard from others, it's something that works with fear, but that's about all he knows.]

[Keith shows up in his Blade of Marmora suit, hood up but mask gone, knife tucked away in its sheath. He falls into step with Izuku, no need to waste any time before they head in.

A shrug of his shoulder.]

They live under beds and are all about fear, right? So... guess we should be prepared for whatever we're afraid of.

[Nothing to fear but fear itself?]

Guren | 6/12

[inheritance]

[It takes a little while to find Guren, but Izuku is Determined, right down to the...dandelion crown on his head? Sure, let's go with that. Either way, Izuku finally spots him off to the side and practically bounces over to him.]

So... does this make you Prince Ichinose?

[He's grinning as he says it, the punk. As embarrassed as Guren might be about this, it says a lot about how comfortable Izuku's growing with him, to even tease him a little like this.]

Say that again and I'll knock your lights out.

[He raises a fist and everything, and though it's all in good fun, Izuku better watch out! He's not against slapstick in the middle of prom. Even still... it's good to see Izuku here, and so happy, and so he drops his fist after that, setting his hand at his hip.]

Are you having a good time? Those flowers fit you a little too well.

Crowley | 6/1

[Even though Izuku visits the library often enough, it takes a while for him to finally find someone that's a match for the description Guren gave him. It takes him by surprise when it finally happens.

Red hair in a braid, tall and muscular--it's probably Crowley. Izuku doesn't approach him right away, though, opting to stand there and study him for a moment, all while holding a small stack of books in his arms. So this is what a seventh progenitor looks like?

Izuku's been standing there long enough that Crowley could probably pick up on his presence.]

[ He typically pays no mind to the other people that pass him in the library, if only because they do the same. Rarely does anyone approach him with questions or just a friendly introduction, but that doesn't mean he's completely unaware that the boy just a few feet away goes completely ignored.

But that doesn't mean he's quick to turn his attention towards him, blinking slowly as he lifts his head. ]

Jake | Quest 11

[There are plenty of nice places around Flavo's gardens for someone to take a break, and Izuku occasionally takes advantage of it--like he is right now. His favorite spot is just under a cluster of trees not too far from his cottage.

Aside from the quiet clacking of the laptop keys as he types, the area's pretty quiet. It makes it easy to pick up the sound of approaching footsteps, and Izuku pauses in his work to look up. An easy smile finds its way onto his face when he recognizes the person passing by.] English-kun! Hey.

_{[ Deku is honestly the only person that has called him English-kun so of course he knows who it is the second he speaks up. Izuku is friendly enough and Jake likes him well to invite himself into his space so he trots on over. ]}

Good afternoon, Izzy!
_{[ you're Izzy?? I guess.. easier for him to pronounce. Anyway, he crouches down by Deku's side, not quite seating himself yet but meeting him at eye level. ]}

I dare say, it's been quite a whirlwind of things happening here lately, hasn't it?

[He's tired. He's stressed. Some of his best friends have turned into werewolves and Izuku's now decided that he's going to look for a cure. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's a hero's duty to help people.

But Shouto's also made it his duty to take care of Izuku, ushering him inside of their house and their bed.

Unfortunately he's missed his drinking glass in the stress of not sleeping for a day or two, and has taken a sip of the flirt juice.

Just as soon as he's taken it, he's approaching his friend, placing hand on Izuku's cheek.]

Hey.

[He's leaning in, a warm smile on his lips.]

[inheritance]

[Exhaustion's settled into him, the lack of sleep from the previous day and the stress from seeing his friend get bitten finally hitting him now that Shouto's dragged him out of the immediate line of danger.

Grateful as he is for the comfort, Shouto's actions don't immediately strike him as odd. He leans into the touch.]

Hey. [Izuku gives him a tired smile in return.] How long has it been since you've rested?
