[This time, Izuku just lets his forehead rest against Shouto's shoulder.]

Nothing's wrong. We can talk about it later.

[Because Izuku remembers what it was like being under the potion's influence. All he can do is wait it out and reassure Shouto after that nothing's changed, that things were still fine between them, just like Shouto had done for him last time.]

[He starts petting through Izuku's fluffy hair, nuzzling his face against his cheek.]

Okay, anything you want. I'd give you anything.

Will you'll come to bed with me?

[What did he just say about word choice!! Izuku presses his face into Shouto's shoulder as it heats up again. It's dangerous, hearing such sentiments--Izuku has to remind himself that it's the potion talking, and not to take any of it seriously.

He shouldn't be feeling disappointed. There's no reason to, when Shouto already gives him so much with his friendship.

Izuku spares at glance toward the desk, where the bundle of plants he'd collected rests. He really should be examining them for clues, but... he also knows from experience that the potion won't allow Shouto to leave him alone until it's worn off.]

Okay. [He finally says, softly. He can always get back to work once the potion's run its course.]

[It's the potion... mostly. Everything he's saying sounds much more suggestive than he would normally put it. But it is true that Shouto would do anything Izuku asked. All Izuku ever has to do is ask and Shouto would certainly try to make his wishes come true.

It is true that Izuku is his closet friend. He's more important than Shouto could put into simple words.

For now though, he takes them both down into the bed, wrapping his arms around Izuku.]

I'm glad you're remembering to take care of yourself too. But even if you don't, I always will.

Anything and everything, Izuku. I'd do it for you.

[Izuku tucks his face into Shouto's shoulder with a tired, little sigh. It's the potion, it's the potion, he repeats to himself silently, squeezing his eyes shut.]

You don't have to do anything else for me, Shouto. You've already done so much.

[It would be unfair of him to hold his friend to anything he says now, anyway.]

[The thing is, Shouto means this.]

I want to do more. Tell me anything you want, Izuku.

[Shouto will try to make it come true.]

[Izuku opens his eyes, shifting back just enough so he can see Shouto's face. This much, at least, he can be honest about.]

Just stay here with me, like you always do. That's all I really want.

[Whatever else is going on with them right now, Izuku knows that Shouto means a lot to him. He's become one of his closest friends, his confidant, his anchor in the past few months. He doesn't need anything except what Shouto's been giving him already.]

[Shouto lets him for a moment before lightly pressing his forehead against Izuku's. He wants to be close. He wants to cuddle.]

I'll never leave you. I want to make all your wishes come true.

[He's already promised, hasn't he? For as long as they're here, he'll always come back to Izuku, to their home.]

[Izuku's cheeks pink up at the contact, though he doesn't pull away. He's never minded being close to Shouto, even if something's shifted between them recently.]

You already did. [He closes his eyes again, relaxing and pulling the blankets up around them.] You trust me, right?

[Shouto's smile is slow and warm. It's nice like this, cuddled close together in bed. There's nothing better than this.]

Of course I do. I trust your judgement. I'd follow you anywhere.

Then trust me when I say there isn't anything that I would wish for right now.

[Nothing that Shouto would be able to give him, anyway.]

Then promise me you'll tell me all your wishes.

[Because he really needs to know to make his dreams come true.]

Whenever you think of anything, Izuku.

[Oof, that's a dangerous promise to make. Izuku's hands curl into Shouto's shirt.]

Okay. But only if you tell me yours, too.

[It's a bit underhanded to get Shouto to talk this way, but Shouto's not the only one who wants to make a friend's wishes come true.]

[He loops an arm around Izuku and pulls him closer.]

Of course.

[It's not his number one wish all the time, but it is a wish he has.]

I want to make you happy. I want to make you smile. I want to hear you laugh.

[Izuku exhales shakily, relaxing into the tight embrace without protest. He can't help but feel something in him grow warm. Letting himself get affected like this is a bad idea, but would anyone be able to stay unaffected by a sentiment as sweet as that?

He can't bring himself to answer when the guilt settles in, though. Lying here and soaking in Shouto's words feels too much like taking advantage of his friend when the potion's still in effect. It shouldn't disappoint him to know that the words are likely a product of the potion. (Why is he disappointed? That's yet another part of the puzzle that he needs to consider, though Izuku can admit he's a little scared to at this point.)]

[Shouto hums quietly, slowly warming up his left side, trying to coax Izuku to asleep. Sure, he's flirtier than he'd normally be, but at the same time he does have this need to take care of Izuku.

Neither of them have been getting enough sleep with the werewolf situation going on. But Izuku seems much worse at monitoring his own health.

He lifts his head a bit and presses a soft, easy kiss to Izuku's forehead.]

Sleep well, Izuku.

I hope you dream of me.

[Izuku makes a strangled sound that's something between a squeak and a gasp before he's hiding his face in Shouto's shoulder again. Forget the light blush he was sporting earlier--it's a full blown one now.]

Y-you...! [Flustered as he is, there's no helping the stammer when he speaks up again.] You can't expect me to sleep after that!

[Even if Shouto is making it nice and warm inside the blankets right now.]

Did you want one on the lips instead?

[That's not what he wants to say!!! But... part of him does want that(?).]

[There's practically steam coming out of his ears now, his face heating up so fast it's frankly alarming.]

Shouto!! [Okay, that's all he can handle right now. Izuku shuffles away from him, just enough so that he can draw the blankets over his head and become a cocoon of embarrassment.]

[He'd like Izuku to stay close to him, so when he moves away Shouto follows him. But at least he doesn't tug the blankets down.]

All you have to do is ask.

[Izuku feels hot all over. Even when Shouto isn't influenced by flirt potion, he can be dangerous with his honesty and attentiveness. Right now, it feels like that effect's been amplified several times over.

Izuku stays right in his blanket cocoon and shakes his head. Asking for a kiss on the lips sounds like a dangerous path to take--not that he would ask for a kiss in the first place, what is he thinking??]

[Right now all he wants is to make Izuku happy... but is that really such a big change? Wasn't he basically like this to begin with?]

It's okay if you're embarrassed. I'll do anything you ask, you know.

[Izuku peels one of the blanket layers back, but only enough for him to peek out at Shouto.]

Even if I just ask for us to go back to the, um...trying to sleep part?

[Honestly, he's not sure how much more of this his heart can take.]

I promise I'll do anything you want.

[Which of course includes sleeping.]

Just as long as I'm close to you.

Okay... [Slowly, Izuku shifts, emerging from the blankets sheepishly, cheeks still pink.]

You must be tired, too, right? Let's try to get some sleep.

[Surprisingly, he doesn't even think of the plants on his desk--it looks like Shouto's managed to thoroughly distract him after all.]
