[The number one thing Shouto likes to tease him about. Bunny ears.]

Do you think it would stay invisible if we dyed it with something?

[Izuku's definitely pouting now. Rude!!]

Dunno. Guess we'll find out later if someone tries to dye it. [Whoever does the experimenting, it definitely won't be him! (It definitely will be him once his curiosity's returned.)

For now, though, Izuku just seems content smooshing the fluffy wool around the sheep's face.] Looks like you're done!

You... don't want to?

[He hates this more than Izuku does right now.]

Hm? [Izuku looks up at him, not really understanding why Shouto's looking so unhappy right now.]

Well, not really? We'll find out eventually anyway. Oh! [He looks a little disappointed when the sheep wriggles out of his hands and bounds away to rejoin its friends with a soft "baaah".] I guess we should look for another one now.

Yeah. At least two sheep.

[It's very weird and he's not sure he can properly adjust.

Anyway he'll follow the footprints on the ground and put his hands out to touch another soft, fluffy sheep.]

[The sheep bleats at him in confusion, something like a fluffy cat tail bumping into Shouto's arm as it turns around to stare at him...presumably. There's an another answering bleat a few feet away, and then another.

Izuku crouches down beside him.] Found one?

[Shouto pets the sheep in front of him before trying to find it's face.]

Yeah, come here and soothe the sheep while I sheer it.

We're not actually related, you know. [Izuku shoots him a grin, but he settles down to hold the sheep anyway. He pauses when he reaches the sheep's back.]

Oh...that's weird? [He tugs on something there, which makes the sheep squirm and "baaah" at him indignantly.] Oops, sorry!

[Shouto gives a soft hum instead of a real reply.]

What did you find? ... Wings?

Yeah, actually. Small ones. [Izuku holds his hands apart in an approximation.]

I think they're too small to actually let it fly, though. [It's an emu sheep, basically.]

That's still pretty cute. Make sure I don't clip it's wings when I'm sheering.

... I think the bunny one is the cutest.

[ BIASED ]

I'll hold onto them when you reach the back! [Izuku gives the sheep an apologetic pet in advance.]

They're all cute! And way easier to deal with than the geese from last time.

The geese were all really mad. The sheep seen fairly relaxed... But if they charged at us that would still hurt.

Mad and also able to breathe fire. Or some them did.

[Izuku hum and finally holds the sheep in place. It wiggles a bit in his grasp, but doesn't seem too bothered by this.] Ready when you are!

The ones I ran into breathed fire. It was a pain... At least John had his sylladex.

Ready.

[Sheering! So much fluff comes off of the emu sheep. Probably.

Shouto can't see it even if he can feel it.]

[The sheep bleats at Shouto and he'll feel a tug at his sleeve when it chews curiously on the ruffle there. It lets go a second later apparently deciding it's not tasty food after all.

Izuku, in the meantime, carefully lifts the wings up so they don't accidentally get snipped by the shear.] Those sylladexes sound pretty useful. Must be nice being able to store so much in them.

[Though Izuku sounds appreciative of the technology, he leaves it at that instead of rambling on about how he'd love to know how they actually work. Alas.]

[Well at least his outfit didn't get too chewed up. Eventually they'll leave this sheep to it's peaceful grazing.]

... You don't wonder how those things work?

[This is so much worse than just not being able to use his quirk.]

[There's a brief silence, like Izuku might be considering it before he just tilts his head.] Should I? It doesn't seem like we can get one anyway.

[Izuku goes back to petting the sheep, as if he isn't spouting the most out of character things ever and freaking Shouto out in the process.]

[Increasingly alarmed... But at least he's finished with this sheep, patting it's head.]

... Nothing. Don't worry about it.

[Shouto can do all of the worrying.]

Okay, if you say so. [Izuku just smiles at him before letting the sheep go with one last ruffle to its head.]

Baah. [Some tracks appear in the ground as the sheep turns around in a circle and then darts off back into the woods. Izuku quickly stuffs the second bit of wool into his backpack so they don't lose it.]

Looks like we're done! Let's head back to the town now.

I hope we see the rabbit sheep again. It's really cute.

Maybe we will! The sheep do live in the forest. There's always a chance we'll come across some of them, including the rabbit-sheep ones again whenever we come in here.

[The backpack gets slung over his shoulder.]

That wasn't too bad!

The forest shifts a lot. We might not see them for a while... See isn't the right word.

I'm glad nothing tried to kill us.

That was definitely nice. No injuries or anything! [For once.]

[Shouto holds up one hand, like he's waiting for a high five.]

I'm proud of you.
