Event Ten.

Little Willie, mean as hell,
Pushed his sister in a well.
Mother said, while drawing water,
"My, it's hard to raise a daughter."

t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

(And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!)

What now?

Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here!

You could probably, like, tear off some of the fabric on your clothes to make your own bandage. This place looks pretty run down, I don't know how much you're really going to find.

[Now that she's provided valuable (?) advice, she focuses on what he's said, her eyes narrowing slightly in concern.]

...I'm going to assume it didn't happen here? Because if there are weird creatures running around injuring people, I'd really like to know about it.

I-- well. I could try? Can't promise my balance would be much good, though...

[This can only end in falling back into the water, but if it has the potential to get them out of the well, then Ryan is unfortunately down for it. He's scooting on over to the wall, eyeing it suspiciously before looking Jion over.]

...You might have to give me a hand up.

[Sadly for her, trying to shove him is like shoving a brick wall, but he does set her down quickly once they're back on solid ground. Now that they're out of the well his voice isn't quite so loud either, but... still loud.]

My apologies, young miss! My intention wasn't to cause any discomfort, but staying trapped in that well looked far more uncomfortable! Are you uninjured?

Midoriya? [Hm. No calendars. The town itself is mildly strange to him, too.

The architecture doesn't look like anything from Konoha, though the time period has the tiniest resemblance to the Konoha of his past. He can't tell where, but he knows: old.] What does he look like?

[Thankfully for Ari, whatever Shiho says about any work being too much work, she’s still dropping by the well periodically. She hears him and she’s even prepared to help him.]

Are you sure you didn’t mean “Lassie, get help”?

[Or so she says, even with the lack of dogs around as she’s shooting her gun at a nearby tree, nanowire coming out and wrapping tight around the trunk. Still, she doesn’t know who’s down there so she gives a hard tug to make sure it’s firmly in place and not likely to break.]

[He flinches at the sudden knock at the door. What is he doing sweating bullets in here while one of his students is outside... Maybe he can climb out one of the windows, force himself back into muscle form, and act like he was just passing by? Panicked, he calls to the front door:]

U-um... There's no one home!

[He smacks himself on the forehead. Why did he say that, that was so stupid... He has no idea what the layout of the house is, so he quickly scrambles through it to find a back door or a window. Please don't check the windows, Todoroki???]

[Natalie might not be much of a people person, but she's definitely a cat person. It doesn't take her long to approach when she sees one, a rare smile on her face. Conversely, it doesn't take her long to freeze in place when this particular cat starts speaking to her.]

Um.

[Even as bizarre as this entire day has been, she can't say that she was expecting a talking cat to be added onto everything else that's happened. It takes her a few moments to decide how to react to this.]

I'm... sorry? Cats don't really talk where I come from.

[Which probably explains why she still looks thrown off, eyes wide and expression incredulous.]

[Wha-- Did he really think that was going to work? Now there's just Shouto standing outside the door and getting progressively more confused.

He has no idea what's going on here.]

I just heard you.

[Of all the things she’d thought this stranger was going to pull out, a harp wasn’t one of them.

Still, the music does sound very sad and Shiho is kind of nosy all the time so she comes up to him.]

Do you just carry that thing around with you all the time?

[Wow that sure is loud...]

You can speak to Guren-san! He leads the defense force.

[But instead of the usual smile she's looking at him like she's trying to figure out why he seems a bit familiar...ah, wait. Wasn't this the guy she saw on all the merch in Izuku's dorm room? What was his name again...?]

Are you All Might?

Half a year is a long time.

[Not as long as it could be yet, and not necessarily as long as he's been gone before--worst dad--but long enough for homesickness to linger.] Yeah. In the district you call "Flavo."

What happens when you complete the quests?

[gandharva's minding his own business, for the part—helping out anyone who might need it, but others seem to have that mainly taken care of. still, he pauses when he sees (?) the cat.]

... Interesting creature you have there, sir.

[he can't say that semi-transparent cats are a thing he sees often??]

As for what we know:
1. Long ago there was some kind of Romeo and Juliet thing going on here between the blue and red districts
2. Some kind of rainbow chicken was involved and apparently you aren’t supposed to do something to it
3. Sounds kind of illegal
4. Food that has colour has taste
5. Things live in the water and we should probably start throwing our plastic trash into there in the hopes that a mermaid will choke on it
6. Things live in the forest and a lot of them want to eat us

[If demons are real, Connor supposes God must be too. All he knows about religion is only in a factual and historical sense. Whether any of it is real is something he's never had to consider.

And he supposes he doesn't have to consider it too much right now. It doesn't really have anything to do with them being inside a well.]

Then we both have very pressing reasons to get back. It must be the same for others here, as well.

[... humans are always so funny.]

"Not decent"...?

[either this is a joke or a culture clash, and he's not quite sure which it is.]

I won alongside my comrades. All that's left to do is a restructuring of the Corrupterment. As long as Fenrich and everyone else is there, I'm sure they'll see to it. Still, I hate to leave them alone. [Because they're his friends.]

[your life's about to get weirder, natalie, because you sure just asked a literally blue kid with a funky eye, marking him as Obviously Not Human.]

You usually have to scavenge for new clothes around here, but I'm sure someone has spares you can borrow... but I'm afraid I don't. My apologies, ma'am.

[He doesn't want a death on his conscience!! Anyway, he's just walking right in, then. Keep up with those tall Reim legs.]

Ky Luc, remember. He got away, but you did well. That sounds like it's even more of an improvement, though. [That's a good sign. He brings his hand to his chin in thought.]

There might be times when we need that, here, but I need to see what I can do about replacing your drugs. That's not taking into account your demon, either.

[He drops his hand again.] Listen. I don't want to have to deal with chaining you up, so keep yourself in check. Go as long as you can without using those drugs, and then use them when you start to slip.

Same goes to you. I've heard about you, actually. A few kids here come from the same place as you. That lazy teacher, too.

[He answers it right back, just for reference. Yeah. Guren's the type of person to notice those soft hands, too, but he won't question it. There are a number of reasons they could be.]

And no, it's not an army of demons. [He has to say this every time, so he just starts with it, now.]

There are a number of ways to settle in here, as much as you can "settle" in a place like this. It's good to find your assigned house and laptop and make yourself comfortable with the forums, at least. Has anyone gone over any of that with you?

[He just smirks at that, tossing the jar from one hand to the other.]

Did you see the quests? That user #FFFFFF hands those out each month. We get rewards, and we restore color over time. I think it's one of the ways we can work towards finding out what's going on here, and getting a way home because of it.

I'm a red, so it doesn't matter what color you are. You can help me get some honey.

[You don't have to tell him, Sasuke. Guren walks around that tall pointier part of the church Sasuke is perched on to be more next to him, instead of behind.]

You get a reward. They tend to be useless prizes or small objects with gimmicks. A music box that makes you feel rested if you listen to it, a pile of knives, some socks. Things like that.

I'm pretty sure they're also the largest reason that color is being restored to the town.
