Event Ten.

Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter." | |
Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! |

Did you see the quests? That user #FFFFFF hands those out each month. We get rewards, and we restore color over time. I think it's one of the ways we can work towards finding out what's going on here, and getting a way home because of it.
I'm a red, so it doesn't matter what color you are. You can help me get some honey.
no subject
[FAMOUS LAST WORDS. He looks interested for sure, though, eyeing the jar curiously.]
You mind if we get a little extra while we're at it? I'm used to having a little more to work with, but I'm sure I could add it to a few things.
[of course he's just thinking about cooking instead of danger.]
no subject
[He holds out the jar. Your job, Ryan!!]
But I wouldn't cook anything with the honey we get just yet. You'll see, but it's colorless right now. That means it pretty much tastes like shit. Probably not a bad idea to keep around, though.
no subject
[Yes, he's skipping right past the mutated bees bit for this, you're welcome, Guren.]
Cooking's not going to be very easy here, is it.
[what is he supposed to do if he can't stress bake this is extremely important.]
no subject
[There's not much, Ryan, good luck.]
You'll have to ask people who are actually used to cooking. All I've got under my belt is pressing buttons on a microwave, and we don't have that here, either. [rip] So, it's probably rough. Ignis manages, though.
Anyway, wasn't I just telling you about killer bees? If you can't fight, at least pretend to be concerned for your life.
no subject
[don't be... bees-ist?]
But you don't have to be concerned for my life! I don't really stay dead very well, so just, you know. Put me somewhere safe and I'll be fine eventually.
[...he'll learn that doesn't work, at some point.
that point is hopefully not now.]
no subject
You're not safe. Not in the way you think.
[With that out of the way, and no other explanation, he turns to start heading to the forest. Follow him, punk.]
no subject
[-but he trots after Guren obediently enough, he's not about to get left behind here.]
Has anything not worked right for you then? You sound pretty sure about it.
no subject
I don't want to push it and see how many times it works here.
no subject
[How else would he be listing off unwanted side effects, Ryan.
But his steps slow a bit at the idea anyway, before he lengthens his strides again to catch up.]
Were they all like me, or...?
no subject
[Hilariously, only one person he knows didn't have the ability to come back to life of the four he knew died.]
But they came back.
no subject
[This is one of the very few times he's sounded honestly concerned about something since arriving here, and he frowns, worrying at his lip for a moment while he thinks.]
Probably not good. I mean, maybe it's a little hypocritical of me to say, but people without that kind of ability coming back... I can't help feeling like that's a bad sign, y'know?
no subject
The laptops glitched, too.
[They're stepping into the woods now, and automatically it feels different. Like there are eyes on them, like there's something more inside. Guren has gotten used to the feeling.]
no subject
[You know, just a little bit. And the knowledge that it apparently worked that way even though they were supposed to come back in other ways--
Yeah, okay. Maybe he could stand to be a little more careful.
But if it ever did happen, well, it'd be a valuable experience, right? He decides it's best not to say so aloud, turning his attention to the trees instead as they walk; the feeling isn't an unfamiliar one to him either (just in different ways), but it's still best to keep an eye out.]
...hey, have you ever died here? Or just seen that happen?
no subject
[It's an interesting enough question that Guren just glances to Ryan quietly for a moment, but then he's looking forward again, apparently unbothered.]
Just seen it. Most of the people here couldn't kill me even if I stayed put and let them try. Get ready. I can hear bees.
[But Ryan probably can't, yet. It's fine.]
