Intro Log.

Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

[There's way too many people crammed into this space, too many voices raised in alarm. As much as Naminé wants to join this crowd in their enthusiastic cloud, this is overwhelming, overstimulating after coming from the sweet calm of beaches and reunions between friends. She shrinks backwards, feeling for the walls of the well.
Anyone near her might hear the sound of warping air, and see a black and ominous looking portal emerge on the brick. And maybe you'll hear her soft voice too, if you strain hard to listen.]
This can lead us out-- but you might need to hold my hand as we go through it.
[Do you want to trust her?]
II. A GRAYSCALE TOWN
[Naminé is most used to following others. Had done so for a long time, and rather unwillingly at that. But it's familiar in its own sad way, and, she figures, much safer as well, in this world she's never seen before. So she trails after a random group, working up the courage to address them.]
Is-- is it alright if I go with you?!
[Speaking loudly helps with that.
She'll also be continuously glancing around the crowd, a tiny crease over her eyebrows.]
It looks like some people have found their friends...have you found yours?
III. FLAVO YELLOW
[The old mansion in Twilight Town wasn't this level of dilapidated, but it was a near thing, and it only improved after Naminé and Riku dedicated some elbow grease to fix things up.
She's short one tall Keyblade wielder, who was about 80% of the manpower, really, but she's no less determined to make a little space for herself. If she and everyone else doesn't know what's going on, then the only thing to do is to wait for whatever's going on to come to them, because it always eventually will. She learned that much from Sora's memories.
So here she is, her hair and dress grimy from dust and dirt, a section of relatively undisgusting cloth from a couch clutched in her hand, and a small chipped bowl filled with gray water at her side. All of this is to wipe down the table a computer is sitting at, along with the floor beneath it.
If anyone came in with her, or came in after she finished, she'll offer a hesitant smile.]
Do you want to share this house? I can help you clean the other parts, if you'd like.
IV. WANDERING THE FOREST
[Forests are a good place to get lost. But they're also a good place to be hiding important and useful things, truths and tools and sometimes even people. Naminé stands at the edge of it, wondering what she should do, and then psyching herself up for going in.
That thing about waiting for trouble to come to you? Yeah, Sora mostly ran towards it. And Naminé picked up a little bit of his penchant for that.]
If it's just a little bit, I should be okay. I can just portal away if I find any trouble...I hope.
[ooc: find me at
I
She's got her back pressed against the stones, so she notices when the portal appears. Charlotte pulls back, staring wide-eyed at it, but she hears the girl's words.]
This is your doing? Are you sure it'll get us out of here?
[Is this some kind of dark magic or something??]
no subject
Yes. I control where the other end of the portal opens. It's safe if I'm with you.

And so Minato wanders, hands tucked into his pockets, headphones off more to be aware and ready in case there is a threat than for any other reason.
Which is for the better, really--when Naminé speaks up, he hears her.]
Oh... yes, of course.
[She seems young... is she going to be okay here?]
Let's wander together, okay?
no subject
Thank you. [A moment's hesitation as she wonders what she does now, and like everything else before this, she consults her memories of Sora's memories to find her way. She takes a deep breath and blurts out:] I'm Naminé!
[THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE FRIENDS, RIGHT.]

Four!! o: Between time powers and naminé's portals....wh-what could go wrong??
By this point, he'd picked up a mostly-empty toolbox from some broken down store or another, packed a few other supplies in it, and had it hanging from the end of the bat on his shoulder as he stood by her. Ekko paused for a moment to look from the forest, back to Naminé, with raised brows.
"You sure about that one, Goldilocks?" He hefted his bat onto a more comfortable position, but a cheeky grin crawled onto his face.
"I'm game. But you'll have to carry my toolbox. I'll need both hands if we run into any kind of trouble."
gestures to the entire kingdom hearts franchise.......
"Oh-- of course." She gives him a small smile back, and holds out her arms to receive it. "I can do that much, at least."
I mean. you're not wrong. You...you have a valid point.

II.
[ Caramia's already trailing far too quickly to really pay much mind to the other people around him quite yet. He's cold and the only way to get warm is to move, but... the small voice (albiet loud, still definitely... small, he can tell) catches his attention. ]
Of course, bambino. Sorry, I must've been walking too fast. [ He holds his hand out now, with a bright, sunny smile on his face. ]
Oh, yes. Do you remember in the well... that man who flew out with some birds? That was my friend. Was being the keyword. He's dead to me now.
[ How can he say that still with such a bright smile? ]
no subject
Wait, what?]
You don't want to be friends with him more just because of that?
[She looks mildly horrified. FRIENDSHIP IS IMPORTANT, don't throw it away so easily!!]

[This is not something that seems to bother him. It's as if he's remarking on the weather.]
You can come with me if you wanna, though. I'm just wanderin' around.

I'd like that. Maybe we can talk and become friends along the way?

Don't mean to be a bother, but...you plannin' on runnin' in there all by yourself? A bit dangerous, don't ya think? [Friendly boy gives a big friendly, encouraging smile.]
Better to team up, yeah?
no subject
Yes. Honestly I think so too, but everyone else seemed so busy...I didn't want to bother people.

Another I. (letting her have it ^.^)
The second is that everything about this situation feels wrong.
Although so much is unusual, the strange sound of something- not quite like a blade cutting air- catches his attention. So he is attentive when there is a soft voice at his side, saying that it - that unnatural darkness - is a way out.
It takes him only a moment to consider the options in front of him - a large number of people in this wet cave and only the hole at the top as the obvious way out.
So he looks down to smile reassuringly at the girl before nodding seriously.]
If you can take only one other, then I promise I shall help the other people climb out from the top if you can get me there.
ovo)b
Thank you. I could take two people at a time...and I'm sure some people would be able to go through without any trouble, too. But I want to be careful.
[She holds her hand to him, waiting for him to take it.]

In surprise, it still takes a few seconds to parse the question. ]
With me? [ honey is this really ur first choice here. Still, she clearly gives a moment to consider it before nodding an affirmative. ] Okay. I don't know what we'll find here, but... it's the only way to figure it out, right?
[ And besides, she has a dagger, that's probably a step up from some of them here. With that settled, she starts leading the way further out from the well — but Naminé shouldn't have any problems keeping up.
Small talk is what will pose the real challenge. ]
Friends? ... ... I don't recognize anyone. I don't know if I have any.
[ Here or otherwise. ]
no subject
You...don't know if you don't have any?
[What...should she say to something like that. It sounds terrible sad, and makes Naminé think of the long time she didn't know she had any friends, too.
No, that won't do. Think positive. Like Sora, like Kairi.]
I'm sure you do. [...hm.] Ah. But if you can't find them, I can be your friend until you find them?
[That was good, right?]

Friends?
[... That probably makes it sound like he has no idea what friends are, when he does in fact have some (none of whom he expects to see here, given that last he saw them, he was running away from them...). As it is, though, he's caught off-guard by the question.]
no subject
Yes. Or...someone you know from where you're from?
[Doesn't even have to be a friend, she's just curious.]

[ Terra's hesitant -- not because he doesn't want anyone to come along with him, but it's been so long since he's had anyone just tag along with him. All in all, he doesn't mind.
He pauses at her second question, however, and looks off to their surroundings instead. ]
No. I haven't. I'm going to guess it's the same for you?
no subject
What should she say to him? What could she say to him that might not upset him, or anger him, or...sadden him beyond measure? Nothing she has to tell him could be considered completely joyful, and after everything he'd been through (after everything she'd been through), she doesn't want to be the bearer of bad news a fifth time over.
No. No, he deserves to know what came after. She is a fountain of knowledge, witness to so many sides of the same story. They're meeting for a reason. He shouldn't be caught off guard or kept in the dark. She could tell him everything.
She thinks he'd want to know, even if it pained him.
Naminé takes in a tiny breath. Later. It's selfish, and she remembers what happened the last time she was selfish. But he's the first sign of a familiar face, and she won't sour their first meeting with an outpouring of terrible memories.
Still, she wants him to at least know a little bit of who she is...is that selfish too?]
I haven't. [She offers him a hesitant smile.] But even so, I know who you are. You're Terra.

Sure.
[He's not really walking with anyone, and as they go, the group starts to become more sparse, showing that. That makes the answer to her question that much easier, and he keeps looking forward.]
Not yet. [Honest, and he looks back over to her curiously.] I guess you wouldn't be here following me around if you had, either.
no subject
I've never been out on my own before. I thought it would be better to stay with someone who wouldn't mind me tagging along for a while...so thank you, for letting me do that.

But he hasn't, so he ends up barging in on some scene right out of Cinderella. Immediately, he's embarrassed. Not only did he walk in on a girl, she looks like she's in the middle of something. Instantly, he's red, and he ends up waving his hands around at her question, slightly panicked. ]
N-no, it's fine! I'm just looking for stuff to burn!
[ ... He probably could have worded that better. ]
