Intro Log.
![]() | |
Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

Thank you. [A moment's hesitation as she wonders what she does now, and like everything else before this, she consults her memories of Sora's memories to find her way. She takes a deep breath and blurts out:] I'm Naminé!
[THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE FRIENDS, RIGHT.]
no subject
He can roll with that! Names are good, even if Naminé sounds incredibly foreign. He'll roll with it. You're doing good, Naminé, hang in there!]
Nice to meet you. I'm Minato.
[~friendship~]
I think sticking together is a pretty good plan, honestly. Thanks for asking.

[The
contractfriendship is sealed! And Naminé feels inordinately pleased and reassured, giving him a hesitant smile.]Of course. I didn't want to bother you if you'd rather be left alone.
[Because he sure did look like he could've gone on a while by himself! She can see the introverted types a mile away.]
no subject
But really, he'd have to have a heart of stone to deny someone who's clearly trying as hard as Naminé is.]
Really, in a place like this... it's kind of reassuring to have someone else around.
[Not untrue, really; it's so gloomy otherwise.]
Maybe we can figure out more by putting our heads together.

I would have thought there would at least be some townspeople around. Sora-- um, my friend. He travels a lot, and I know that if he gets lost, he usually asks people where he is and how to get to where he needs to go. But here, it's...completely empty.
no subject
But.
There really is...nobody.]
I wonder if they've ended up somewhere else... [HOPEFULLY PEOPLE DON'T JUST VANISH that would be incredibly alarming.
... In less alarming news:]
Have you seen him here? Your friend.
no subject
No, I'm afraid not... [A tiny smile.] He has very distinct hair. Brown, and very spiky.
no subject
[Why not? Reuniting people with their friends is definitely a good thing here.]
Thankfully, it's pretty easy to see other people here...we all kind of stand out, don't we?
[Compared to their drab surroundings, they're so, so bright...]
no subject
[A long pause.]
Well, it seems like everyone is from different places.
[She doesn't want to break the "don't tell people that multiple worlds exist" rule just yet, but anyone with eyes could see it regardless.]
no subject
[It's okay, Naminé, as per usual he takes that...very well, really.]
Different places, and different times, somehow... some people have weird powers [WHICH MINATO DOES NOT HAVE COUGH COUGH] and some people have experienced some very strange things.
[...]
I've never seen anything like it.
no subject
Actually she doesn't mind talking about her portals, but after that she has no powers at all whatsoever, and certainly none that could mess a person's memories badly enough that she'd have to take an entire year to fix them. Nope.]
I wonder if some kind of magic went wrong and caused all of this to happen. [She glances up at Minato.] Do you have magic where you're from?
no subject
Even despite Personas and the Dark Hour, it wasn't ever really something he can really say he thought of as magic. Too much weird science to it, too much weird mind shenanigans. It felt like something fantastical sometimes, but even so...]
Maybe you're right. [Magic, huh...?] Usually the only magic I've heard of has been in stories and things like that, but... I guess that doesn't mean it's not real.
What about you?
