Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. | |
ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.
Another I. (letting her have it ^.^)
The second is that everything about this situation feels wrong.
Although so much is unusual, the strange sound of something- not quite like a blade cutting air- catches his attention. So he is attentive when there is a soft voice at his side, saying that it - that unnatural darkness - is a way out.
It takes him only a moment to consider the options in front of him - a large number of people in this wet cave and only the hole at the top as the obvious way out.
So he looks down to smile reassuringly at the girl before nodding seriously.]
If you can take only one other, then I promise I shall help the other people climb out from the top if you can get me there.

Thank you. I could take two people at a time...and I'm sure some people would be able to go through without any trouble, too. But I want to be careful.
[She holds her hand to him, waiting for him to take it.]

[ (Which apparently includes trusting a stranger taking him into a portal of darkness.)
Shifting his spear from his right hand to his left he takes her offered hand gently, but makes sure he has a firm hold. He then follows her, careful to make certain his spear does not clip the edges of the darkness, and braces himself for whatever might come.]

He'd definitely be able to feel the darkness inside the portal, though, if he weren't with Naminé. Not inherently evil, but heavy and ever looming, pressing down on one's sense of self in its eagerness to pull everything into it. Since she's with him, though, she can protect him from all of that, gently glowing white beside him as they walk.]
It'll take a moment to walk to the end of the corridor, but we'll be on the other side in no time.
