t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ It's a polite exclamation, but he doesn't seem to be opposed to it as much as he is surprised. Though he does have some immediate doubts about just how well his sense for the abnormal is, considering Sebastian is a large example of that. But it's also for the better anyways. He'd very much prefer to be seen as quite normal. ]

That may come in handy, then. I suppose I am in luck to have run across you. [ There's a friendly laugh in his voice by the end, and he gestures to the forest. ] Well, shall we, sir?

[This bothers him, but that ever-present smile doesn't falter. Instead, he says--]

Well, I trust Aizawa-kun's been taking good care of you all, but how have you been doing, young Todoroki?

[Or she didn't mean to, at least. Regardless, what he says next actually seems to irritate her (which isn't very difficult at all, honestly), and her next words are delivered with an Attitude.]

I don't need your help to get answers. I was just asking in case you already knew, but you're not the only one who can try to figure things out.

[This complete stranger has a gun, so clearly, this is a good decision and nothing bad will happen. Reim looks a little more pleased with the situation, for his part.]

Like I said, I don't know how to fight, so trust me when I say I don't go looking for trouble. [he says, covered in bandages. bad luck.] Shall we?

Hm... I hope that is the case. Not being by the young master's side is...

[ He trails off thoughtfully without elaborating, but that's actually quite intentional. He doesn't want to have to elaborate on where that sentence was going, since the truth isn't quite the best first impression. His concerned frown at least turns to a grateful smile, and he nods. ]

If you would not mind it, I would greatly appreciate your assistance, sir. Are you a resident of the town?

[ She feels like she's in a constant state of whiplash and it's the worst. All of this information is brand new to her - Lottie has still yet to do a lot of anything here, so the mere mention of any of the above has her fingers digging into her thigh for comfort. ]

Fine. Let's make a deal. [ It's those big ole eyes, the look she's far too familiar with, that gives her probably the best idea ever. You're such a genius, Lottie! ] You tell me everything and anything I should know about this dump, in detail, [ Her hand moves to cover the phone itself, nails tapping against the screen. ] and I'll maybe let you play with my phone.

[Much better! This girl is really quiet, which Sadie would notice if she wasn't so used to just listening to herself talk.] Now, what was so scary that you were hiding from it?

[ by now, Michael's twigged that there's a whole bunch of new people showing up at the bottom of the well. part of him's not sure how to feel about that, but he also remembers how much it sucked to be the one wandering around creepy fairytale townsville soaked through and full of questions.

also? he can appreciate a good reference! and that was a good reference. ]

I mean, if you don't mind looking like an extra from A Knight's Tale, some of the empty houses have an outfit or two you can grab. No one'll mind if you take 'em.

Mogget. It's a good name. [ She reaches her hand out for him, palm up the way you'd shake hands with your pet, sure, but for him? An offering of goodwill. ] It's very nice to meet you. I'm sorry about the well. Not exactly a fun way to wake up.

Not a hero school, exactly, but it's where a lot of us wind up when we've got skills we need to put to good use.

[She looks at him curiously.]

Soooo... heroes. Flashy costumes, fwooshy capes, secret identities and all that jazz?

[ That's right, he's cracked the code. It's her, Tina of the illustrious Soba family.

But he's not entirely wrong, she's shy on a daily basis as is. It's why she even hesitates to nod, and looks at his hand as though she's not sure exactly what he's offering here.

But yeah, she's most certainly new. ]

[ At least it means this isn't going to be an entirely awkward encounter full of two quiet people.

Kisa, though, glances down at the ground-- and then kind of meekly gestures to the whole area.

She doesn't know anything about this town, but she doesn't really like it. ]

[It sounds close enough to him?]

Some of them are flashy, some of them have capes, and none of us have secret identities.

[Unfortunately, he will see it as jewelry until it is outright explained to him. And it was indeed high praise.]

Perhaps if we work together, we can reach the top and figure out why we are here in the first place! [He looks upwards again, stroking his chin with a clawed finger.] Tell me Connor, do androids fly?

[Tongue clicking or not, he seems almost a little too interested at the prospect.]

What type of danger are we talking about? Perhaps I can be of aid...

[There's a kid here. There's a kid here, staring up at him, not even properly dressed, and any attitude Jotaro might have had goes right out the window.]

Hey. You looking for pants or a dress?

[He's seen both here, and while they aren't anything he's willing to take for himself, they're probably better than nothing for a kid who only seems to have a too-large shirt to wear.]

[ It's physically impossible, yet Lottie still feels like she's being held at gunpoint with that threat. Does saving face even matter in the dark? If no one can see you?? Her fear outweighs her logic, as her eyes begin to water. ]

No, no, you don't understand! I'll..! [ She doesn't even think about the texture of this wet mop around her neck, only the fact that the fur is so close to her face. She tries her hardest to crane her head away from the feline. ] I need to get my tissues, like, now.

[ But she can't - her hands are full with her suitcase. And her tissue box is balanced precariously right on top. Just out of reach. And while Lottie certainly isn't still, it's better than the frenzy she was a second ago. ]

[oomfies]

[ If it's any consolation, just about anything will offend Lottie. Especially with how high-strung she feels right now. But her ability to be offended is immediately replaced with her even more impressive ability to be confused.

While she definitely appreciates the smarts this guy has - because Lottie definitely is a lovely woman, and she's in distress! - she doesn't understand this get-up. Well, it doesn't hurt to ask, right??? ]

[ Aaaannnnd... she's over it. Selina gives the kid a quick once over, trying to get a read on him, but he seems harmless enough. She lets her shoulders roll back, shifting her weight from one leg to the other as she crosses her arms over her chest. ]

This place can be a little confusing.

But, Guren's place is pretty easy to find. You're not even that far off.

( the silent treatment. what's he supposed to do with this? man this girl's tough to crack. it's cool. he'll figure this out. )

I haven't figured my way around here yet, but. . I'm sure if we look around together, we'll figure it out. And I'm super strong, if anything bad happens I'll be able to protect you easy! So how about it: want to adventure around the town with me?

[Someone around her age making a pop culture reference is definitely the most normal thing that's happened to her today, and while it doesn't exactly calm her down, it's certainly welcome compared to everything else. Even so, she looks down at herself with a frown, hands on her hips.]

I absolutely mind that, but I also mind freezing to death, so. It's a real toss up.

[That's punctuated by a fairly stressed sigh, as she thinks for a moment. Either she doesn't come to a decision or she gets distracted by another thought, because the topic shifts when she speaks again.]

...You didn't come out of the well, though. How long have you been here?
