t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. That's no fair...! That's just like this town. Not only is the food here colorless and gross and the animals all mutated, but everything else is different from usual too.

[Okuni sounds put out by this new and amazing fact she never knew about laptops. Her eyes naturally go to the phone near Lottie's hand because.. what is it!! She's not even subtle about it -- her big ole magpie eyes are glued right at Lottie's phone like she's thinking of touching it without permission.]

[ She feels like she's in a constant state of whiplash and it's the worst. All of this information is brand new to her - Lottie has still yet to do a lot of anything here, so the mere mention of any of the above has her fingers digging into her thigh for comfort. ]

Fine. Let's make a deal. [ It's those big ole eyes, the look she's far too familiar with, that gives her probably the best idea ever. You're such a genius, Lottie! ] You tell me everything and anything I should know about this dump, in detail, [ Her hand moves to cover the phone itself, nails tapping against the screen. ] and I'll maybe let you play with my phone.

[Okuni has seen maybe one phone in her entire stay in Chroma and that was the corded super old-fashioned kind anyway, so truly this is a new opportunity for her. Mutsu has a tablet that has a game on it, but still – this phone is definitely smaller. Maybe it can do different things?]

[SWIFTLY, Okuni has no problem telling Lottie useful tidbits about the town as long as she gets to PLAY]

[ Is this a bad idea? This is starting to seem like a bad idea. But Lottie is desperate for some Knowledge now that she has to learn how to survive on her own, or whatever. ]

You don't really have any room to make demands, because it's my deal, but I'll change it to supervised play time.

[ Until she finds an outlet to keep her little child alive... she needs to make sure that her battery doesn't run dry from Okuni touching it alone. Final offer!!!!! ]

[ That one is EASY.. she's made a whole list on her phone for a day like this. In fact, she pulls it up for reference. ]

How can I wash my clothes?

[Whatever question Okuni expected it wasn't this one??????]

You'll have to do it by hand, unless you make friends with one of many pushovers here.

[She says this very matter-of-factly as if Lottie should totally be used to washing clothes by hand!! But that's only because Okuni has never heard of anything like a laundry machine.]

There might be someone who can use magic to make it easier for you though.

[ Well. Shit. She's super fucked. Lottie has no idea how to use a washer and dryer, much less how to properly wash her clothes by hand. ]

Right, huh. No power means no laundromats.

Guess I should've expected that.. [ She'll just have to con someone into helping her, like before - except this time she can't call them an ''''intern''''''. ] Are there any pushovers with magic that you know who'd wanna help me?

[what's a laundromat.... Okuni can make a wild guess that it's something that helps with laundry!!! she's Clever.

The answer to Lottie's question is a definite "yeah I know like 5 billion people who'd help you", but]

Wouldn't it be better to learn how to do it on your own? Do you really want strangers to clean your clothes for you the whole time you're here?

[ Ideally? Yes. Except if it has to do with cleaning up her snot, she can take care of that herself. ]

I can teach you, if that's what you mean.

[Okuni's too lazy to take care of her own house chores!!!]

. . .But maybe I could wash your clothes for you once or twice if you really need it.

[there's that magpie gleam in Okuni's eyes again as she eyes the outfit Lottie has on. It's interesting okay, it's NEW.]

[ Lottie tenses.. she knows that look! It reminds her too much of her friend, Misty - which makes her automatically suspicious of her motives. ]

..For free? So you don't want anything in return?

[ She's not going to blatantly offer anything like this time because this stranger already has dibs on her phone...!!! ]

I just thought it'd be fun to see what kind of clothes you have! [She's assuming that's what's in the suitcase... Lottie doesn't strike her as someone who'd carry weapons in there instead. Though Okuni would be pleased if that were the case too.] I'm not interested in keeping or wearing them though.

[Okuni pats the edge of her own robe proudly, as if to say that she doesn't need anything besides her own old-timey attire.]
