Intro Log.

Pussy's in the well. Who put her in? Little Johnny Thin. Who pulled her out? Little Tommy Stout. What a naughty boy was that, To try to drown poor pussy cat, Who never did him any harm, But killed all the mice in the farmer's barn.
Welcome to Awash's first intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. Characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

[Well, isn't this disconcerting.
One can hardly blame Yusuke for believing that he's in the midst of a nightmare. This hardly makes sense, given the circumstances and what precisely he was doing before he opened his eyes and found himself shivering at the water soaking through his clothing. As such, he's decked out in unusual clothing, face concealed by a mask.
He frowns upward, his fingers placed against his mask (and anyone else around him gets ignored, tbh).
Thankfully, he can still feel his persona and he thinks this must be a nightmare or some... some area of Mementos. That wouldn't make sense, but he ought to probably... get out of this well first.
Talk to? Ignore? Wonder why he looks like he's posing with his fingers on that fox mask? You're a brave one, you are. He's certainly going to start trying to climb up, not too hard, it's almost like like he climbs shit and gets out (or into) places all the time.
--Or maybe run into him after he's managed to scale the well (with some secret persona help) and clambered over the lip.]
the town
[Yusuke's roaming the town in a fury.
At some point or another, he's assumed his regular day-to-day appearance so if you saw him earlier you might not be able to connect him at all to the fox-masked boy, however... He's a little out of sorts.
He's also muttering furiously to himself:]
Nothing? Nothing at all? What manner of hell is this?
[He even makes his way to the edge of the forest, his hands flipping up branches, as though there might be something hiding underneath.]
bluo
[Yusuke's rather down-spirited by the time he makes his way to Bluo, hands in pockets, fidgeting agitatedly.
He also keeps pinching one of his forearms every couple of minutes or looking around scrutinisingly, his eyebrows furrowed and his lips set in a solid line. He pauses hesitantly outside of some of the buildings and he does, admittedly, stop to admire the architecture.]
It would be beautiful, perhaps, if everything were not so beat up and... grey.
[Mumbling to himself as he looks moodily into a canal and then looks at an arching intact bridge nearby...]
The town
Still not convinced it's not actual hell.
[Cheerful, right?]
no subject
Were I to be trapped in some sort of hell, I would prefer it at least possess a modicum of colour... red, black, anything!
[Yusuke...]
no subject
[Maybe? Keith has to admit the colorless thing is kind of disturbing but it's hardly the worst part of things. Creepy.]
But uh... are you dead?
[Don't mind him he's been asking this it's an informal survey while Keith tries to figure a few things out.]
no subject
[Uh oh. Watch out or he's going to start thinking about this subject very hard, in terms of personal hells or whatnot.
He does puff up a little at the question.] I am not dead. I would certainly remember if I had died.
[WOULD YOU YUSUKE]
no subject
[Like. Don't get Keith wrong, he finds it weird and unsettling too. But this gu seems genuinely disturbed by it.
And then Keith's shoulders ease just a little at the answer.] Okay. Okay, good. So maybe it's not actually hell then, literally.

the town
he just kind of watches yusuke flip up branches, and guesstimates: ]
Lookin' for animals, or what? Maybe you need to do a Disney princess solo to convince 'em to come on out. You know, just find a convenient tree stump and really belt one out.
no subject
Animals... No. Though, perhaps it would be a good idea to do what I could to draw them out, see if at least they had some colour to them.
[Will he belt out a song? Hmm.]

Bluo
Whoever lived here before is long gone...it is rather unusual that everything be this devoid of color...and perhaps a little too quiet.
[He doesn't trust it.]
no subject
It may, in fact, be more peaceful as a place filled with colour.
[Yusuke sighs and shakes his head...]
no subject
That's true. However, I have learned from past adventures that peaceful does not always equal safe. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Perhaps the lack of color is a boon with that consideration, as we are more alert due to it.
[He looks back at him.]
The lack of smell is something unique as well, it draws out the smell of everyone else more clearly for whatever may lurk...if anything alive is around, in any case.
no subject
I do not doubt there is something sinister at work here, to make a place such as this.
However, it is difficult to know where we can start when it is so empty.
no subject
Hmm...a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
[Okay that's enough proverbs for one day, Nanjo.]
I agree. Wither it be by a man or a god's hand, something has befallen this place, whatever it is. Perhaps we can find clues if we look inside the building themselves. I believe we should both be able to protect ourselves accordingly should anything go wrong.

bluo
But Yusuke is probably the most depressed he's seen thus far, and just leaving him alone seems wrong. so Minato approaches, hands tucked into his pockets, expression curious.]
Are you...all right? [??? So moody, Yusuke!!]
no subject
...Physically, yes, I am quite well. But this place greatly disconcerts me.
[mighta been obvious]
no subject
You're right... it's really disconcerting.
[Still...]
You seem really upset though.
no subject
[But, okay. Well. Why not say?]
I am an artist. Colours are part of the world, part of its essential essence, one may say. Without them, how am I supposed to regard this place? It is lacking, it is not right.
If I seem really upset, I suppose it is because I cannot reconcile this place with how my mind's eye says it should be.
no subject
[He supposes that makes sense but wow.
That was dramatic.
What does he say to that...?]
I see... I guess it really is very dreary here.

well
Have you got any bright ideas?
[ he does look like he's thinking, after all. ]
no subject
Fox shifts his gaze to look toward Lupin, though it does take a second because he's not even aware Lupin's talking to him at first. He frowns under the mask, tilting his head up slightly.]
Not as of yet. However...
[He runs his gloved hands over the well's walls.] It does not seem impossible to scale. A rudimentary method, but if it works...
no subject
[ it's a lot of slippery bricks. Lupin's climbed his fair share of walls in his time, but this one doesn't look like it would be easy to get up without an icepick or something like that. A thirty-foot drop into shallow water wouldn't be pleasant. ]
no subject
[He could summon his persona and make a big hullabaloo but he'd rather... not... do that even if he's wondering if this is Mementos or if this is a dream. He should be careful not to give away too much about the Phantom Thieves!!]
Have you any ideas?
