t's yet another day in which a bunch of people ended up in the bottom of the well. It's very, very cold down there, though spring is at least slowly starting to make itself known -- But the people in the Town who would usually come save you might be a little distracted today by the glimmer of scales on the ground, and the unfortunate side effects that come along with them. Don't worry, friends in the well -- as soon as you haul yourself out via magic powers or that convenient rope ladder dangling down into the water, you too can join in the chaos of picking up those sparkly, pretty scales. A. Good boy herds hoards people that aren't even his

( The way Chroma works, it's always exciting to see something new and colorful in the town. So when he sees his first dragon scale, he's too curious to leave it alone. Picking it a yellow scale, he holds it up to the light and admires it. Ah, it's nice, he thinks, but he has no idea what it is. It looks like some sort of scale... so he'll save it for now and hopefully ask someone else if they know what it is.

This was a mistake.

While most people are hoarding material objects and the such, Mutsunokami seems to go another route. Being a sword spirit with a precious history, he's always loved and admired humans. Being able to walk among them and interact with them is a blessing everyday that he never takes for granted and today, it feels... strong.

There's a compulsion to be closer to people but not just that, he wants to keep them close. He wants to keep everyone close and so he's been going about the whole day trying to collect people. Unfortunately for him, they keep wandering off whenever he goes to gather up another person which is frustrating! Where are his people going? Why won't they just stay in the place he leaves them? Now he has to go find more people to collect!

Which is why regardless of who you are, there's suddenly one (1) sword spirit eagerly grabbing onto your arm or the back of your clothes and trying to drag you off to some place without much explanation. He doesn't even introduce himself! )

B. When your character design is a dragon but everyone thinks you're a dog

( Unlike the yellow scale, the red scale seems to be taking longer to wear off. The first few times he'd breathed fire, it had caught him by surprise but after half a day has passed, he's more or less embraced his new gift. Look, there's no point getting all worked up over it now that it's happened. The hoarding tendencies seem to have worn off in time so he's really hoping the fire effect passes too.

At least this quirk seems to have some uses. It's cold outside so a little bit of warmth is good! He just can't seem to control it so there he is, crouched down in front of a small pile of wood and making... noises while making faces. )

Blah! ... Gah!

Hm...

( There's a little pile of food next to him consisting of mostly mushrooms, potatoes, and what looks like fish all in their designated special colors He's trying to roast some things!! But he can't seem to get the fire to come. )

Maybe it was something more like, RAAAAAAAH!

( Nothing.

He probably just looks crazy now. )

Sometimes these things happen, clearly.

It's probably fine. Minato's arm is snagged and he goes along with the tug easily, tilting his head as he does.]

... Did you need something, Mutsunokami-san? [Minato...is way too okay with this, apparently.]

Nah.

( Just "nah." He doesn't need anything from Minato but he'll still keep dragging him away. Let's see, this nice open square area in the middle of Ruga seems good? )

Just... stay right here. Don't go anywhere or anything like that.

( He's serious! He's so serious. )

A game, you say? [ What an odd way to try and cheer him up when he’s busily brooding at the harbor again. He’s got a lot on his mind given the recent arrivals, after all, and he’s not sure he understands where Mutsu’s going. ]

Yeah, a game. ( He holds up his fist to Tristan to demonstrate, ) It's real easy. D'ya know rock, paper, scissors?

We'll make a punishment game out of it!

[ Better a sword spirit than just a regular old sword being pointed at his face, but Kano still lets out a yelp at being grabbed by the hood of his jacket— it's a precious jacket to him, and it's only for the reason of not wanting to tear it that he steps towards Mutsunokami, though not without a verbal fuss. ]

Hey, hey, hey!!! What did I do!? It was a mistake! I was framed! I'm sorry- please forgive me and spare my life!!

[ That should cover his bases, right? Any reasonable person would let him go now. ]

( He can't help but laugh. Ga ha ha! This kid's funny! But he'll keep dragging him away. )

I just wanna take ya somewhere... ( Right here, in what looks like a town square area somewhere in Ruga. ) Just stay here. Don't go no where, got it? Or I'll I've have to chase ya down. Normally that'd be pretty fun but I'm pretty tired of chasing after guys...

[ It's been a weird for Tetora, thanks to seeing scales littered everywhere and having been stuck growling like a feral cat upon picking up one. That was a time... Thankfully, he can talk normally now! Only to be grabbed at the arm like this. ]

Hey, sir... Where are we going? It's kinda suspicious to grab someone outta nowhere yanno.

[ He's trying to tug back his arm, but it doesn't feel right to go harder when Mutsunokami doesn't seem like a bad guy. He has good taste in hairstyles! And neat clothes. ]

There's nothing suspicious about if it you don't assume the worst!

( This is innocent. BUt he'll drag him over to what looks like a big, open, town square area in Ruga or something. )

[ What the-- suddenly grabbed by the arm??

Well, that's okay because Cancer isn't in the mood to fight anyone today, much less break out of his disguise so early, so... ] Wh--... uh, hey....

Actually, yeah.

( He's just going to keep aggressively dragging him over to some place. It's a nice little area in front of the library! )

I want ya to stay right here. Yeah, yeah... right here. ( Shifting him a little just a couple of inches to the left. ) And don't move.

I mean, you can move if you wanna but if you wander off, I'll have to chase ya and I'm pretty tired of that...

[On one hand, the sight of someone with a pile of wood and foodstuffs pretty naturally gives one the idea that he's probably aiming to make a fire...on the other hand, Xie Lian isn't quite sure what to make of all the weird noises. Is he trying to will the fire into existence? Is he sick?? Is it something else entirely???

The most direct way to find out would be to come over and investigate in person, so that's exactly what he's doing.]

...Are you alright? You seem to be having trouble with something.

( he tries to breathe fire again, sticking out his tongue and trying to will it into existing. But all he get is a whole lot of foggy, cold breathe in the air which is a whole lot of disappointment. When someone comes over, he huffs, making more cold smoke, )

Yeah, I'm alright... just trying to see if this fire thing wore off or not, I guess.

( Yes, he does. It's difficult for Berkut to ignore the scene when Mutsunokami is making such obscene noises. He stops in the middle of his march at the next strange shout and turns around to face the cause. )

You there. What are you doing?

( Wow, how authoritative. Or maybe its just his Pavlovian response to freeze when he hears "You there" like like it's the mid-1800s and he's still on the run from the police. His posture straightens some and he looks back, tongue hanging out and looking rather silly but also looking... guilty at the same time. It's a natural response, okay!

Oh, but it's not some guy dressed in blue and white so he relaxes almost instantly.

Sticking his tongue back in his mouth, he turns his attention back to the pile of wood and says obviously, )

What's it look like? Trying to make a fire, of course!

( Do you see t his pile of wood? The food next to him? What else could he be doing! )

[At first he's too confused by this turn of events to get a good look at the guy who grabbed him, but then Keigo realizes he recognizes him. He's the one who helped save him from the pit!]

Was I about to fall into another pit? Or walk into a snare? Some other trap?

[He hasn't seen Okuni recently, but that doesn't mean she isn't out there, waiting to get him again.]

Nah, nothing like that!

( Oh, but Okuni is gone... Huh. Maybe he should find out at some point, oops. )

( No, please tease him. He deserves it. He looks up, tongue still hanging out when someone asks him what's up. He stays like that for a minute before sticking his tongue back in his mouth and trying to not look like he was trying to who knows what to the food and wood, )

I dunno anymore. ( Hm! ) One minute I was breathing fire so I thought I'd make the best outta it and then the next thing I knew, nothing!

[ noctis is there! and thankfully, noctis really, really likes this sword spirit because he's awesome and wonderful and a great friend, which is why he doesn't immediately shake him off.

what he is, however, is baffled, and noctis blinks as he's dragged along to shiva knows where. ]

Mutsu? What's going on?

( Please don't mind him being a little weird today, Noctis, )

Why's everyone keep asking that? ( Implying he's done this a few times already, ) I just wanna get everyone together that's all! Not much to ask, right?

[ NO HE'S NOT GETTING KIDNAPPED AGAIN hell to that noise! an invisible force pushes back against mr. stranger danger as ritsu wraps a protective barrier around himself.

he kinda looks like a prickly cornered puppy honestly but. one who still has superpowers. ]

( He lets out a yelp when he's pushed back. )

Gah! What was that?!

( No, really? And while Ritsu might be a prickly cornered puppy, Mutsunokami is a giant curious one and he's just going to 1. Try to get a closer look at what happened and 2. Try again. )

You first! What hit me? I was just trying to get everyone together and then I got whacked!

[ This isn't the First Time Mutsu's just grabbed him and hauled him somewhere. It probably won't be the last. Is it his size? Is he just that totable?

Sinistra is limp like a fish. He's leaving a trail in the dirt as he slides along behind him, arms laying crossed on his stomach. ]

Ah? Mutsu...? Where are we going?

Ah? [This is- very strange? He digs in his heels a little, more out of surprise and trying to get a bead on the person holding him now than anything.]. Do we need to be somewhere?
