t's yet another day in which a bunch of people ended up in the bottom of the well. It's very, very cold down there, though spring is at least slowly starting to make itself known --

But the people in the Town who would usually come save you might be a little distracted today by the glimmer of scales on the ground, and the unfortunate side effects that come along with them.

Don't worry, friends in the well -- as soon as you haul yourself out via magic powers or that convenient rope ladder dangling down into the water, you too can join in the chaos of picking up those sparkly, pretty scales.

[ Better a sword spirit than just a regular old sword being pointed at his face, but Kano still lets out a yelp at being grabbed by the hood of his jacket— it's a precious jacket to him, and it's only for the reason of not wanting to tear it that he steps towards Mutsunokami, though not without a verbal fuss. ]

Hey, hey, hey!!! What did I do!? It was a mistake! I was framed! I'm sorry- please forgive me and spare my life!!

[ That should cover his bases, right? Any reasonable person would let him go now. ]

( He can't help but laugh. Ga ha ha! This kid's funny! But he'll keep dragging him away. )

I just wanna take ya somewhere... ( Right here, in what looks like a town square area somewhere in Ruga. ) Just stay here. Don't go no where, got it? Or I'll I've have to chase ya down. Normally that'd be pretty fun but I'm pretty tired of chasing after guys...

[ Oh, what the heck, that's so ominous, "I just wanna take ya somewhere." With each step closer that he marches to the town square, Kano keeps looking around for police cars or the gallows or something indicative of what his fate would be if he stays here versus runs away immediately— and he's inclined towards the latter. ]

Eh, I just stand here? For how long?? Who else are you chasing down? Is this a kidnapping?! Is everybody getting tied up!!?! Handcuffs hurt, you know! They're very uncomfortable!!

( WHAT'S UP WITH THIS GUY he's like every paranoid thought Mutsunokami has ever had while being chased by the police personified as an actual person. Which is pretty funny and he laughs! )

Gahaha! Nah, nothing like that! No one's tying anyone up or anything like that. What do I look like? The police or something? ( Please, he's a regular scoundrel. ) There's just all these new guys showing up and I dunno... I just wanna get together! So relax already.

[ These are very reasonable and rational thoughts, thank you very much! The laughter only encourages his act, letting out a disbelieving laugh of his own at the request to relax. ]

All the new guys being rounded up... I get it, I get it~ We're no good, right? We're invaders, so of course we're going to be gathered and then burned at the stake! At least it'll be warm!!

What're ya talking about? ( Holy heck he's starting to get concerned and it actually gets him to drop his guard a bit. He's honestly worried for you here! ) What kind of guy do I look like?

[ Appearances can be deceiving, friend, and Kano knows this so so well. As if cutting somebody is a low bar... ]
