t's yet another day in which a bunch of people ended up in the bottom of the well. It's very, very cold down there, though spring is at least slowly starting to make itself known -- But the people in the Town who would usually come save you might be a little distracted today by the glimmer of scales on the ground, and the unfortunate side effects that come along with them. Don't worry, friends in the well -- as soon as you haul yourself out via magic powers or that convenient rope ladder dangling down into the water, you too can join in the chaos of picking up those sparkly, pretty scales. ( Well, if you know so much why don't try yourself, huh! But Mutsu tilts his head a bit, considering the advice. As a warrior, he can appreciate where it's coming from. Form is important and having bad form makes you reckless and vulnerable.

So he straightens his back and raises his head some, puffing out his chest and.... breathes out.

All that comes out is white vapor from warm breath meeting cold air. )

... Yeah, I got nothing. Maybe it's gone? Aw man, I was just starting to get used to it too, I thought!

[As a professional warrior and absolutely terrible cook, this is the best advice he can think of...so it's with disappointment that he sees it fail to work.]

Was it one of those scales? Maybe you could try finding one again--I don't think I've found whichever kind does what you were hoping for yet, but...hm.

[His pocket's jingling with scales right now, in fact--he reaches in and pulls out a handful of purple scales, just sort of making sure he didn't accidentally get some other color.

...Putting them back...] Or you could start a fire the normal way, I suppose.

Yeah, one of those! ( He points at the purple scales being produced, ) The one I got was red though! I haven't seen any purple ones 'til now.

( At the suggestion that he should start a fire the normal way though, he makes a face, )

That's good - I'd advise you not to touch any if you do.

[Putting them back in his pocket.....his hand's probably a little purple now, but. He wipes it on his pants, then claps!]

Why don't we find a new red scale then! For your outdoor cooking.
