t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ An awkward laugh as he gives that half-assed answer. And then Jion pauses, seeming to think over something. ]

-- hey, uh, Mr. Valvatorez. So do you not drink human blood any more, then? If you just eat sardines? Do they even have sardines here?

[And with that, he'll hoist her up! He is extremely steady, which is probably not surprising, being an android.

He'll hold her while she tries to grab onto the well, watching to make sure she doesn't slip.]

[ Well, Akechi definitely looks comfortable in his own skin, and ever so practiced in the art of playing the role of a pleasant, helpful boy. Really, he'll even smile and bow in greeting to girls he's not familiar with, so hopefully Aigis will take that as encouragement to approach him!

... even if he has to make some minimal effort not to laugh at her introduction. Seriously, a transfer student? ]

I don't. I made a promise and as a proud and noble demon, I am bound to keep it. [Only to himself. He's the only person in the world keeping him to it. Especially here in this new, weirdly colorless, world.]

( sounds easy even if it's really time consuming. he'll have to wait for sasuke to find guren, to chase him down, wrestle him onto the ground and take it off of him, but that's manageable. he's sure. )

It sounds like a lot of people wanted stuff that'd help them heal faster.

So he's always been bad at taking care of himself? [It wouldn't surprise her if that were the case.] He did! They rotate every two months. I guess he wants us all to meet new people. [Like a meddling dad.]

I can with the rinnegan. [His head turns to look at Guren, and the wind pulls the dark hair away from his face for once. His left eye is perpetually in a state of strange purple stretching from corner to corner, broken up by several swirling lines.] It's an eye technique which allows me access to the Six Paths.

[This makes no sense to Guren maybe, but it's okay.]

The portals don't lead anywhere but back to this place. They're unstable when passing through and give illusions after using them.

But it's still lonely, right?

[His daughter, huh.] I wouldn't have guessed. You look pretty young to be a dad already.

Man, I didn't know anyone even still uses forums. [ Not that he's ever been much of a computer person himself, but forums feel weirdly outdated. And that's barely an internet. ] Still, that's good, having communication between people. Kinda makes me wish I'd had walkie-talkies on me when I ended up here ...

[ A pause as he looks down at the gear he does have -- just his pistol and his basic medpack, unfortunately -- before looking back up. ]

Um, by the way, is there anything I should be doing? Once I'm settled in? I'm assuming people mostly cooperate on stuff, if we're all stuck here for a while.

But were they before? If the humans were only afraid of the demons then it makes sense that the moment they're gone they'd go and cause trouble right?

[Look, she doesn't know what's going on but it makes sense to her. After all, fear will only get you so far.]

Mm. [A relief, though not for the rest of the people here. Well... maybe a relief for them, in a way, but envy in another.

His lips pull into a frown.] I'll look into it, but I'm sure some of the rest of you are already doing that much.

I might be able to see something important with the sharingan or rinnegan.

Man, like something out of a horror movie ...

[ Jion makes a bit of a face as he scuffs a hand through his hair, looking a little troubled. After a moment of thought, he looks back to Kaoru. ]

Hey, this is kind of a weird question, but do you know any way to dispose of things here?

[ Totally not suspicious. ]

[This makes Little sense, it's true. He's thinking about Buddhism here? Reincarnation? But this doesn't make sense, still.]

Then stop trying to use them before you end up hurting yourself. The magic surrounding this place isn't like any normal illusion spell. [He does use the word genjutsu for illusion, specifically,] It's beyond what I've seen.

So you're lost? [Well, all of them are lost, really. But like, thinking like that is depressing so.

Instead she's going to reach out and grab Kohaku's hand.] Don't worry! I've already been here a while so I can help show you around!

[ Ah... Momo squints for a second, trying to appraise the situation, before sitting up and back and laughing quietly. ]

The cute kind, or the scary kind?

[ How good is Okuni at drawing, is the real question... ]

I should let you know, we have a defense force here and I know someone who's hobby is solving cold murder cases.

[Later, he tells Guren he wouldn't just throw the shuriken at anyone... but Yuu isn't the kind of person who is only anymore. Normal. It should be fine, right? Don't kill him.]

[He doesn't throw the shuriken with as much speed and force as he does in battle, but he does throw it. Directly at Yuu, head-on, without any kind of flashy curves or rebounds.

He's hoping Yuu can catch it. If he does, it is, in fact, a simple throwing star. Have fun, soft child.]

[He says her name in a strange combination of both awe and fight, like a ghost that has come alive in front of him. It makes perfect sense now, and without thinking he briefly kneels in front of her, hand on his stomach.]

I apologize for not realizing it was you! It's been so long...

[She is friends with his dearly departed sister, and by extension his as well.]

I was doing my job! [And then some things happened and he got a job change but he was still just trying to do his job.]

Things are so much worse than they were 400 years ago. Surely somebody would step up to put terror into the hearts of humans. That's an exemplary action for any demon... [There's a noise of disgust. The demons have fallen so far...] I'll fix the corrupterment once I get home.

[ A war-horse! Are those even still a thing?

But man, this guy looks so awesome. Like someone straight out of a samurai movie. Jion admires him unsubtly, eyes roving from Tonbokiri himself, to his gorgeous horse, to his magnificent spear, and back, before realizing he's been asked a question. ]

Oh, uh. Tsukumogami? [ A thoughtful tilt of the head. ] I think I've heard the word before somewhere, in a movie or TV show, but I don't think I remember exactly what it is ...

[ Tonbokiri might have said he's a Great Spear, but Jion obviously hasn't caught on just yet -- because that's just a cool nickname, right? Like White Death, or something? ]

[Surprisingly, he's not sure if he should be amused, embarrassed, or insulted. He feels old. He feels so old, but right now at his age, he supposes he isn't that old in actuality.]

My wife had her when we were about twenty.

[He doesn't ever answer the first question.]

[The man pushed his glasses up his nose before speaking. Having had his share of expeditions inside, he had many things he could speak about. Sebastian would easily notice that the man conducted himself in a calculated manner when speaking and walking.]

There are plentiful dangers to be found inside the forest. Various creatures that I would suggest fighting in grounds, to strange effects as you continue to wander farther inside...none of us have reached the other side yet.

[He looks back at the forest before frowning, his frustration visible.]

There was one time where we lost our senses as we moved forward...another pieces of our bodies were falling off one by one without pain. We had to chance them to reattached them, least they be lost forever.

[ Why is that the first thing she goes to?! Jion frowns, and the way he pouts looks just a touch defensive. ]

I'm a medic. My job's helping people. ... also, even if I did kill someone, if I actually went to people and asked them how to hide a body, I'd be a really lame killer.
