t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ ... Well, there's no sense in trying to bolt now. Handshakes are unfamiliar, but slowly, she reaches out to clasp his hand.

[ Have you ever seen someone look really, really unimpressed? Like someone promised a really fancy magic trick and instead guessed the magic card wrong? That's basically how Fushimi looks. ]

What. Do you think ankles are indecent?

[ Is he... is he just kidding? Fushimi can't tell. He's bad with normal people, much less someone like Momo, so Fushimi just settles for looking vaguely disgruntled.

He isn't just walking off, though, so he's either sticking around to help or... insult Momo. It's really 50/50. He might do both. ]

[ Normally, yes, people would be way more talkative.

Except Kisa isn't talking. She does step a little further out, and she's still a wee bit damp, and of course she looks incredibly overwhelmed, but.

[ That's perfectly okay, and she's very grateful for it. She trots behind the tree and shortly after, there's another burst of smoke.

And the girl is back, poking her head out from behind the tree. ]

[ The only reason Lupin isn't also on a roof in this tag is because it's Flavo and also the middle of the day. The buildings are too far apart, and people will see him and ask what he's doing! No fun. He can't say he was expecting the reverse to happen (being called out to by someone on a roof while he's on the ground), but when he looks up and sees a lovely maiden, he decides he's okay with it. ]

Chroma, by popular vote. If it has a proper name, I've yet to find it. [ a beat. ] Enjoying the weather up there?

( how embarrassing. he's got one of the linens over his hair, trying to dry it off but yuu's turning towards her at the same time, eyes widening when he spots the gun pointed at him.

Still, she's well-aware that there's no point in hiding when she's already been spotted, so Kisa slowly steps out. ]

[ He's definitely holding a tiger.

A tiger that's suddenly thrashing and flailing and trying to bite him.

[ Come on, Bruce. Don't you want small children in your life? More small children? Small children who can turn into lethal predators on occasion??

The tiger cub's a little disorientated, but it bobs its head a little.

Somehow, Kisa thinks she shouldn't bite him. ]

[ another devastatingly handsome well-dressed man in town?! say it ain't so!

Just kidding. It's actually a bit refreshing to see someone dressed normally (from his perspective), although it's obvious from a glance to Lupin that this man is from the very top of the upper crust, and the accent only confirms it. Only the truly wealthy have the money for such a sharp-looking butler. He frowns apologetically at the question, shaking his head. ]

I'm afraid not, monsieur. Lost your charge?

[ the butler is on babysitting duty and fell into another dimension... truly unfortunate. ]

[He doesn't know much about tiger cubs, but a few things are common sense. He stays crouched down, so he appears smaller, instead of a giant monster man towering over her.]

You don't need to be scared, little miss. Shall we take a look around together? If anyone tries to put you back in the well, I'll protect you.

( yuu notices. he can hear sasuke breathing, can hear each step he makes--but he also doesn't really give a shit, so. having a follower for a few houses is no big deal, and when he does speak up and ask yuu, he turns eyes towards him. squints for a moment. )

Nope, not yet. But I figure it should be somewhere around here. A laptop can't hide that well, right?

[ Michael doesn't really make it down to the well often as a rule, so he hasn't really twigged that there's a fresh batch of newbies (hopefully!) all climbing out of it yet. Ruga, though? that's a frequent haunt of his, since, y'know, he lives there, and Chroma's population's so laughably tiny that even for someone like Michael, new faces stick out.

... especially when they're like, what, ten feet tall and kinda vaguely fish-like in appearence?? for a brief, horrible second he's thinking of the Sirens from a while back, but - they weren't even a hundreth as friendly, or articulate?? ]

... Yyyeah, I think that's really all a matter of perspective.

[He clamps a hand over his own mouth, glancing over his shoulder to check no one else heard. A number one hero shouldn't badmouth coworkers, even if it is kind of true...]

Ahem! He can be kind of scary, so... Can you tell me more about the defence force? What kind of villains are you up against in this town?

[ An awkward laugh. ] Well, not exactly irresponsible, but ...

[ Brash? Dangerous? Either way, if this guy's a 'professional,' then it's all the more reason for Jion not to argue the point. Because clearly Reim knows what he's doing, right? ]

I'm Jion. Um, I'll do my best to help. [ He withdraws his pistol from its holster, pulling back the slide to check if there's a round already chambered, then returns it for now. ] But I feel like I should be honest about this -- I can do a lot to keep you safe, but it's probably still best to avoid any fights in the first place. Just in case.

[ Gosh, she's so cute. Jion is usually the type to shake hands enthusiastically, but he grips her little hand gently and only gives it a playful little shake before letting go. ]

By the way, I really am sorry about scaring you so bad, okay? I'll make it up to you as soon as I can.

[He just throws back his head and does a hammy stage laugh to respond to being called weird, so... yeah. Definitely weird.]

I'm afraid I arrived in the same manner as you, so I know very little! But I plan to find out more at once, so please be patient while I go on ahead.

[ Sebastian's eyes narrow as he turns to look at the forest again. He takes up a thoughtful, serious silence for a few moments as he stares into it, and for the time being, he doesn't explain further. In truth, that explanation makes him all the more curious to venture inside. It's precisely the sort of thing he's excellent at dealing with, but... Alas, there are appearances to keep. ]

That is quite concerning, considering it is so close to the town... Do these creatures ever venture out of it?

[ He was expecting a verbal reply, but... Fine. He gets his answer, technically, but it's not the one he was hoping for. His expression turns to a deeper, concerned frown, and he brings a gloves hand to his mouth thoughtfully. ]

Troubling...

[ That's said more to himself, but considering the importance of this task, he doesn't simply leave, at least. He crouches to be closer to her height, since he's trying to convey more sincerity here. ]

Miss, should you see a boy by that description, could you please come find me, if it is not too much trouble? It is imperative that I find him.

[It's while All Might's looking for his residence that Minato stumbles across him by accident; he had to go back to his own place to fetch more towels (he'd really underestimated how many people would be here this time), and...with those in his arms and his eyes fixed ahead as best he can despite his armful, Minato very nearly runs right into him.

Oops.

Thankfully, he's able to stumble to a stop before there's more than a slight bump.]

Oh--sorry, I didn't see you....

[He trails off, because... wow this guy looks terrible...]

[ Don't you "uwu" at him, big guy. It won't work. He still looks back at All Might with the blankest expression possible. He's just going to let the silence hang for a bit, because he's a bit of an asshole, before finally clearing his throat and explaining -- ]

We don't have elected officials. Everyone minds themselves and forms loose organizations for the good of the town. The most "official" group is the Defense Force but it's still not necessarily the people in charge. We don't have a large enough population for it to be an issue either.

[ A pause and -- ]

Does that suffice?

[ His eyebrows lift briefly in surprise at hearing a monsieur, but he doesn't actually comment on it. It's just an interesting word to use, and pretty firmly identifies Lupin's nationality. Or that he's a ouiaboo, whatever

Though he's grateful that this man seems to understand quite immediately why he's asking. He must be familiar with nobility, he thinks. ]

Quite so, I am afraid. Looking after the young master is the highest of my duties, and so I worry about not being able to find him...
