t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? [He guesses it doesn't matter if Yuu gets the laptop immediately, especially if he wants to hang around here. Guren glances back to his own closed laptop, considering a few things.]

If you don't want to look for it, then we can move on to something else. How's your control of your seraph abilities right now? Has it improved since what I remember?

[#doubt... But, he just raises his eyebrows a little, like he's expecting a real answer to that.]

Most people can't turn into bats. And for the record, animals don't usually wander into the town unless there's trouble, or someone brought them from home.

[He crosses his arms.] Anyway, you don't have to apologize. No one expects to be pulled out of their home and thrown into a completely different universe. Everything's different here, for everyone, and everyone has things they have to return home to.

I think your commander would have to give you an exception on this one. [He holds out his hand for a shake.] Guren Ichinose, by the way. What's your name? You're military, then?

I am. To be thorough, essentially, since it would be quite irresponsible of me to give up the search for my master so easily...

[ Though he doesn't explain further about who his master is, or even seem to consider the fact that the term might be odd to most people. In fact, he continues with barely a pause. ]

And to know this quite odd place I have found myself in all the better. It would not do to not scout it to its fullest.

Jion's a little distracted casting around at his surroundings as they start walking towards the harbor; he's clearly fascinated by the place. ]

So, um. What kinda place is this, exactly? Doesn't really look like anywhere I'd recognize ... kinda European, though?

Oh. Guren turns casually, hands in the pockets of his military uniform, to stare at All Might. Wait a second... He's definitely seen him before. No, not him, but... pictures of him? Merchandise. Merchandise of him, in Izuku's room, for the brief time they'd returned to their homes.

Well, I lead the defense force. [He points to the little notice on the community board that shows about that.]

It does rather give that impression that such things may be inside...

[ Though Sebastian sounds concerned about that possibility, he definitely isn't at all. Arrogantly, he's quite sure that even if he were to encounter dangerous creatures, they would be no match for him at all. He hums thoughtfully to himself, but then looks to Ryan. ]

Would you be interested in venturing into it, even with the possibility we may discover something like that?

[ He makes a face at that. ]

Oh. Paralysis-causing bees, huh. Sounds pretty nasty. Not sure if I'd have anything for that ... [ That last bit's sorta mumbled under his breath before he pauses. ] Wait, fairies? Why do those need backup?

"A knight!" He sounds immediately impressed. And although Jion excitedly scoots forward to get a closer look at the harp, his interest has shifted to Tristan himself.

"As in, you have the title? Or, like, actual sword-fighting? 'Cause I didn't know either of those involved a lotta harp-playing."

[Shouto sounds like he's definitely run into these fairies before and he already doesn't like them.]

Because they come in swarms and they're bad tempered. They like causing people harm and watching us suffer.

( look he may be mildly illiterate but he's not that illiterate. he can read and write enough to get stuff phonetically, and guren is a name he's very familiar with.

but the fact that he can understand signs that he's pretty sure he couldn't before is weird. eh. best not to think about it too deeply, probably. )

A sage...? Jeez, that sounds a lot cooler than 'medium', I have to remember that one.

[There's one answer then, sort of-- and in response to the other one, he holds the cat up a bit. Mutsu might catch a hint of a meow as he does.]

And this is Bianca! She's a ghost, but besides that she's a perfectly normal cat.

[He almost jumps out of his skin when he hears that familiar voice, and looks around to see none other than young Todoroki!]

Shit. [He curses under his breath and wipes blood from his mouth, hurriedly opening the door and slamming it shut. Surely the boy had just made a mistake and thought he'd seen All Might from a distance? There's no way he should be able to recognise him up close in this form.

...Maybe if he just hides in here, Todoroki will think he's imagining things? Though he shouldn't just leave one of his students wandering around out there alone, either... What should he do?]

I also have no wish for you to force it upon me, so I'm glad we agree there.

[She seems surprised for a moment by his next words. It's strange to her, just how willing he is to go out of his way to help. Regardless, she shakes her head.]

Why are you... [A small pause, while she finds her next words.] I mean, I asked if you happened to know where a change of clothes was. I didn't ask you to wander around in search of someone to give me a new outfit.

[Shiho had been over at Kaoru’s when she heard the noise, too loud for her to think and focus on saying rude things about other people over the forum.

Which is why she’s here now, crossing her arms and looking up at him no matter how apologetic he was.]

Yeah, kind of. You couldn’t do this quietly? Or you know, somewhere farther away?

[ oh, it was that easy to get him to cheer up? the whiplash throws dextera off just as much as the initial suspicion did, but he eases when yuu does. ]

[ wait! yuu! this is guren’s kid, then, and dextera brightens. (“bright” is really a subjective matter on dextera’s face, but he picks his head up, his eyes a little wider and his shoulders a little straighter.) he doesn’t know yuu, but he knows of him enough to think that his arrival will make guren really, really happy.

not like crowley, and not really like mika’s brief time here, either. ]

Dextera. [ a pause. ] He’s… mentioned you.

Sure.

[His steps slow to a stop nearby. He's been patrolling the edges of the town at the forest border just to help with things like this, so he's glad so many people are stopping to ask, this time.]

It's dangerous to go in there alone. It's practically alive, there are mutated animals and mythological creatures, and you could get yourself turned around in there real easily. It's impossible to map.

[That's his summary!! He puts a hand on his hip.] Did I cover it all, or did you have more specific questions?

[Um... That was weird. Well he's sure he heard the door slam. So whoever that was definitely existed, right?

He'll make his way up to the door and knock. Even he's not rude enough to shove the door open and walk right in.]

...You're right, that is difficult for me to believe. I'm not sure I've seen any evidence that such a thing can be true.

[Other than meeting a demon... and this woman's ears make him think she isn't entirely human either. So he has enough evidence to believe non-human, sentient beings exist. Maybe another world isn't entirely impossible...?]

How do you know for sure this is a different realm?

[ sierra is oddly firm about that. a vampire she may be, but not a monster—she left her life of cruelty behind a long time ago, and she doesn’t want to think that she’s lost herself the way that so many of her former friends have. ]
