t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [He almost jumps out of his skin when he hears that familiar voice, and looks around to see none other than young Todoroki!]

Shit. [He curses under his breath and wipes blood from his mouth, hurriedly opening the door and slamming it shut. Surely the boy had just made a mistake and thought he'd seen All Might from a distance? There's no way he should be able to recognise him up close in this form.

...Maybe if he just hides in here, Todoroki will think he's imagining things? Though he shouldn't just leave one of his students wandering around out there alone, either... What should he do?]

[glaciers]

[Um... That was weird. Well he's sure he heard the door slam. So whoever that was definitely existed, right?

He'll make his way up to the door and knock. Even he's not rude enough to shove the door open and walk right in.]

[smaaaaaash]

[He flinches at the sudden knock at the door. What is he doing sweating bullets in here while one of his students is outside... Maybe he can climb out one of the windows, force himself back into muscle form, and act like he was just passing by? Panicked, he calls to the front door:]

U-um... There's no one home!

[He smacks himself on the forehead. Why did he say that, that was so stupid... He has no idea what the layout of the house is, so he quickly scrambles through it to find a back door or a window. Please don't check the windows, Todoroki???]

[glaciers]

[Wha-- Did he really think that was going to work? Now there's just Shouto standing outside the door and getting progressively more confused.

He has no idea what's going on here.]

I just heard you.

[smaaaaaash]

[Yes, please stay outside the front door, so you don't see All Might squeezing out of a back window, getting caught in a bush and nearly falling on his face, and then forcing himself back into muscle form. Not the most graceful or daring of escapes, in all honesty.

Hopefully he's managed to get all of the leaves out of his hair because he sneaks around the other side of the house to... surprise...? Todoroki.]

Young Todoroki! I heard you call for me from far away, so I am here!

[glaciers]

[Shouto is even more startled to see All Might in his muscle form. His eyes go wide and he takes a small step back. Ghost?

No it can't be that. Timelines. Somebody said something about timelines and it made his head spin. He never thought All Might would be one of the people who would end up here.

He doesn't know what to do with this information.

So he defaults to being straightforward... He looks All Might over, looking at the leaves in his hair.]

From a tree?

[smaaaaaash]

[All Might just hides any confusion with a big smile as usual, even if it's a little strained from how long he's been in muscle form already today. At Todoroki's observation, he reaches up...]

Yes, I suppose my hair does look like the branches of a t-- hm?

[He tweaks his hair and pulls out a twig stuck in its strands.] Oh, I wonder how that got there! It's hard walking through the woods when you're so tall! HA HA HA!

[...He really, really hopes no one saw him faceplant into a bush.]

[glaciers]

[He feels a twinge of doubt. All Might was in the house, right? In his skinny form? But if this is an All Might before-] You were in the woods? That's dangerous alone. You didn't see any mutant bees, did you?

[Well, whatever. He can lie if he wants, it's not like Shouto really minds one way or the other. Shouto shakes his head in attempt to clear it..]

Izuku is here. He'll be glad to see you.

[smaaaaaash]

Mutant bees...?

[He looks puzzled. First of all, he's All Might, he can handle anything alone! Second.... mutant bees?

Oh! But mention of Izuku pushes that from his mind entirely.]

Ah, young Midoriya! [Although he's not supposed to be playing favourites--] And what about your other classmates?

[glaciers]

[No, paralysis is a terrible status condition.

Shouto is still pretty damn convinced that Izuku's All Might's illegitimate love child or something. This obvious favoritism makes complete sense to him.]

Uraraka is here too and so is Aizawa-sensei... Those are the only people from home that are here.

[smaaaaaash]

Hmmm... So your families aren't here.

[This bothers him, but that ever-present smile doesn't falter. Instead, he says--]

Well, I trust Aizawa-kun's been taking good care of you all, but how have you been doing, young Todoroki?

[glaciers]

It's for the best.

[He'd rather not have his siblings who aren't heroes in training, or his father around.

When he's asked after, he looks unsure. Is he doing okay? He thinks he is.]

I'm... okay. [The siren nonsense was last month. It's a new month and he hasn't gotten horribly injured or kidnapped or anything.

He's doing great.]

[smaaaaaash]

['For the best'... Is it that he's being considerate of his family, or that he doesn't want his family around? All Might won't pry either way, but he does pat the boy on the shoulder.]

We might not be at school here, but I'm still your teacher. If things are difficult, I hope you can confide in me.

[...Whether he actually has any good advice is another matter entirely, but...]

[glaciers]

[There's a thought that's been on his mind a lot, but he'll discard it in favor of the other thing.]

Can you remind Izuku that he doesn't have to do everything on his own? There are people who'll help him.

[smaaaaaash]

[Gulp. Why does he feel like he's the one being chewed out here?

... Probably because Recovery Girl has chewed him out about Izuku being way too like him, and because All Might actively encouraged that behaviour, but still...]

Y-yes, of course. Teamwork is a vital component of being a hero, as is knowing one's limits! I'll be sure to bring it up.

[glaciers]

[It's not Shouto's intention, but maybe it comes across that way. One more thing that makes him wonder if they're secretly related.

There's a pause... No, he can ask that later.]

What about you? Did you get the run down of where we are?

[smaaaaaash]

A town called Chroma, is that right? No one seems to know how we got here or who's behind it, though...

[Then he strikes a Hero Pose!]

Worry not, young Todoroki! Now that I am here, I will do everything in my power to get to the bottom of this!

[glaciers]

That's right. It didn't have a name so we had to come up with one. Colors are missing, but we can restore them by doing the quests on the forum.

[He's not actually sure how All Might will do that, but because it's All Might, he wants to believe despite his doubts.]

I believe in you.

[smaaaaaash]

[All Might has no idea how All Might is going to do this either, but he'll figure this out as he goes! Hopefully. Kind of like his approach to teaching.]

Yes, I noticed the strange colours. Does anyone know what will happen if all of them are restored?

[glaciers]

No. There's some speculation that we'll go home once that happens. But it's more like wishful thinking.

[smaaaaaash]

Now, now, young Todoroki. Wishful thinking doesn't have to be a bad thing! Even if restoring the town isn't the answer, so long as we don't give up on finding a way out, there will always be other opportunities.

[glaciers]

[He lets out a soft little sigh.]

I'd like it if you were right. So far we don't know a lot about this place, and all the books are fairy tales and myths.

[smaaaaaash]

I-is that so... Are they good fairy tails, at least?

[Because, you know. Priorities.]

[glaciers]

I didn't know a lot of them.

Most of them end in somebody dying or getting horribly mutilated.

[He rubs his chin thoughtfully.] It's true that a lot of the old stories were much darker than people think... But audiences these days like happy endings! Their wishes should be respected!

[He's wracking his brain trying to think of what it might mean, but he's got nothing.]
