t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ Man, it's really one thing after another, huh. As if a portal-well isn't hard enough to wrap his head around. ]

As in -- talking animals? Or what, do people appear outta there too?

[For Minato, who has barely managed to put together the furniture in his own house in a way where it won't fall over, this is Impressive. Quite frankly.

He's doing his best, but he is not particularly skilled at these things.

Either way, for now, he shakes his head when Sebastian asks his question.]

Oh... no, sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt.

[A beat.]

You've adapted really quickly to this place.

[Get out of well, immediately fix house. Inspiring?]

[ Here's some guy and his dog. It's a German Shepherd. It looks friendly! Bruce does not. He's probably frowning, since his default is a resting bitch face, but he's not actually disturbed. He's just looking at the pile of excess Sebastian has from his improvements, the wood and such that he's discarded from the home. ]

Where are you going to dispose the rotting wood?

i( It's always the forest, isn't it? Everyone's always drawn to it eventually. Maybe it has something to do with the fact it's a place most people shouldn't go into and are explicitly told to be careful of. Knowing that, it had only made him all the more curious to see it for himself. So he's checking out the fringes, trying to keep an eye out on anyone who might want to go in. )

I can. ( He sure can!!! ) Depends on what ya wanna know, though.

[ That modest flex earns a better laugh, and Jion scuffs a hand through his hair. ]

Well, I'd rather not fight with anyone, or anything, to be honest. Kinda counter-productive to my job, so ...

[ A glance back towards the woods. ]

And it's not like I'm really hoping there's wolves here. I mean, sort of ... but mostly, I'm just trying to figure this place out, you know? It's real different from anywhere I'm used to, so everything's kinda disorienting. [ A pause before he looks back to Momo. He seems awfully at ease. ] You've been here a while, right?

Well-- I'm new myself, but I've been warned off going in there? Something about, you know, dangerous creatures and all.

[... Not that he sounds remotely concerned about them. In fact, he's peering into the forest with interest, as if he might catch sight of something interesting from here.]

No idea if it's true, but there's one way to find out, right?

[ There it is. At least Jion doesn't look completely devastated, though his shoulders do slump a little. ]

Oh. Got it.

[ He only mopes for a moment before trying to perk up, though. ]

Sorry -- I guess I shouldn't look so down when I just got here, and people have been here longer. [ A slightly watery laugh as he rubs at the back of his neck. ] I was thinking about how much trouble I was gonna get in when my commander finds out I'm gone, but that's not the biggest priority right now, huh.

[ A small nod to himself to try and keep his spirits up, before he looks back to Guren. ]

I guess you've been here a while, then? Since you seem to know what's going on?

[Ogle the muscles as much as you like, he's used to it! and lowkey enjoys the attention]

Hmm... Hmm... And is it a villain who's rounding everyone up and putting them in a well? Where are we, exactly?

[She's being remarkably calm for someone in a hostage situation, all things considered, so the situation appears to be more complicated than that.]

[ dextera will give him an answer, yes, just… hold on. he shouldn’t be intimidated by a child, but it feels like he’s meeting the parents for the first time, or some odd reverse of it, anyway. ]

Guren’s… friend…

[ the sign language itself should be able to be read, with the magic of the town, but hopefully yuu can spell well enough to realize that g-u-r-e-n is someone he knows. ]

[Ignoring the look of annoyance. This smile (and loud voice) never falters, irritated citizen!]

I see... And have any villains emerged during this arrangement, or has everyone been able to coexist peacefully?

[ Sebastian smiles and gives a small shake of his head in response, and he even raises a hand lightly as a gesture to say that it's perfectly fine. Though what he adds on gets the polite smile to turn more thoughtful, and Sebastian taps his makeshift hammer against his opposite hand thoughtfully. ]

Oh, have I? It seemed quite reasonable... So far as I can tell, there is not an immediate way to leave this town, so it is best to make the most of my stay in the interim.

[ He stops tapping the hammer with a thoughtful noise, though it's followed by a light, playful sigh. ]

...Though I can admit that it is also partially because I do not enjoy idleness.

[ Have this dude with his very flat, neutral expression at the sudden bird turned teen girl in front of him. He's seen this before too, Sadie!! Probably too many times. Ugh, he's so tired of metahumans. ]

[ And that's all he says before -- ]

[ look at him, wasting all that blood… it’s not like she wants to lick the blood off his cheek like some kind of pervert, but it occurs to her in the way thoughts often do. she sees blood, she thinks of mouths, and she remembers hearing that normal people can help slow bleeding with their spit. humans are wild! ]

What did you go and do to yourself, anyhow? Surely the well didn’t cause you that much trouble.

[ Bruce was just passing by when he's being SHOUTED AT and he just sort of stills and looks in All Might's direction. He gives him a once over because wow, what a look, and if anything, he just looks a little more annoyed afterwards. Then he says, very flatly -- ]

[ Why is he suddenly reminded of Clark? ]

( with a hand extending out (yuu you're walking wtf) to offer to minato. )

That's dumb. But I get it, I guess.

[ Yes. He was kinda considering venturing in there, but now he gets the feeling that he shouldn't? ]

[ Sorry, Mogget, but there's a German Shepherd absolutely bounding right towards you because Ace Loves Cats. He loves cats and he lives with one and he's all about the sniffing and the licking and the loving on cats when he's given the chance. Ace is super!! Excited!! To be here!!

Meanwhile, there is Bruce, following behind at a leisurely pace and frowning a little as Ace shoots off to go say hi to the cat. Ace!!!!! ]

Ace, be nice.

[ He'd probably be more concerned if he knew it was a talking cat but alas!! ]

[Not having to look down is definitely a mutual kind of relief-- Ryan blinks at him in surprise at first, then visibly brightens a little, posture straightening out of its usual nervous hunch.]

Well, I did, but that instinct was mostly 'get the hell out of the water'? So I'm a little bit more stuck now...

[If Tonbokiri can sense that presence, he might be able to hear a very faint, echoing meow from the ghost cat-- it's always curious about new people, whether they see it or not.]

There are paralysis causing bees and fairies in there. Getting into that alone won't go well. [Though he can't say for certain how poorly it would go, because he hasn't tried being alone in there.]

I wouldn't go in without back up.

[Somehow this reaction doesn't faze All Might in turn, who knows exactly what he means, even if he doesn't quite get the right word. He laughs and strikes an action figure pose, hands on his hips.]

HA HA HA HA! I am All Might!

[Is this an introduction or an action figure commercial? Both? Who knows.]

( He's an honest critic. )

And you're not the only one, I bet, but c'mon. Ya got a real talent right there! You could be using it to lift spirits instead of bringing 'em down.

[ Okay, sure. Suddenly he has a tiger in his arms. That's... great. What is with the abundance of kids turning into animals this time around? Come on, he's not patient enough for this.

But he'll hold the tiger cub and look down at it before out at what Kisa was running from before back towards the cub. Okay. ]

Hh. Do you want me to put you down?

[ He stiffly rights himself, glancing down at where his damp socks have left a wet track on the floor, before looking back up to Giorno. ]

Uh, sorry? To be fair, I didn't think anyone else would be here first, either.

[ He's not too disappointed, though. He's pretty used to rooming with other people, often in large groups. ]

I'll, um, try not to get in your way?

[ Sebastian isn't immediately opposed to dogs, persay, but still, given the choice, he'd rather not be around them. Ah, well. At least the dog seems well-behaved, thankfully.

But far more important than that is demonstrating his own competence. Does he have to do that? No. Will he anyways? Of course. ]

Well, I was planning to break it up a bit more, but it should make a fine mulch or additive for the soil for the presumably public gardens I believe I saw? I would hardly waste it, as resources seem somewhat limited...

[ To put it lightly. Privately, he believes he may just have to "cheat" and create a few things eventually. ]

Personally, I think it would likely be better for keeping the soil healthy, but that would depend more on factors that I am not yet acquainted with, to be honest.
