t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. ( everything is a jrpg if you try hard enough. he isn't breaking anything though! just. touching it. he's got this nifty ipad in hand by the time mutsunokami speaks up, but yuu hasn't even figured out. . how to get the screen on yet. good times. )

Oh, hey. ( head turning around to face him, but he's still not. putting the ipad down. the fuck, yuu. ) I was looking for my laptop. Have you seen it?

( It's off to save energy! It's very valuable, you know!

But wow... this kid? Just breaking into someone's house and saying "oh hey" like it's no big deal. What a weirdo. He likes him already. )

It's just Okuni and me here as far as I can tell. ( Holding out his hand. Give hi the ipad, Yuu. ) D'ya feel like you're in the right place?

( the ipad is carefully placed on mutsunokami's palm; he doesn't need some thing that doesn't work anyway. and clearly this dude wants it more than he does. )

Nah, I couldn't find it so it's probably not here. ( but, uh. ) You'd think they wouldn't hide like this. The laptops I mean.

(Except it definitely works and he'll prove it by turning it on right now!! Look, all he has to do is hold this button down a little longer and... ta dah! He's very proud of his ipad that has all of two apps.)

Think of all the people you wouldn't meet if it was easy, though!

If ya really focus, I bet you can find out exactly where you're supposed to go. (Listen to your heart!!!) How's this for starters... d'ya think you're in the right area? Or d'ya feel like you need to go all the way across the town or something?

Oh, yeah. This is definitely the area of town I'm supposed to be in. . I think.

( he actually has absolutely no idea. )

It feels right, and Guren's here, and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be here.

( it's the only area of this entire place his family is in which clearly means it's where he belongs, whether or not the color charts agree. yuu will fight them. frick those color charts. )

Guren? ( Tilting his head curiously. How does Guren know such a good, curious kid! ) That real serious guy?

Yeah, that one.

( he gets where people would get that impression of guren, at least. even if he's not that serious at all. )

He's my family.

[tosa]

Ya don't say. ( Really? ) So which one's the good one and which one's the troublemaker, huh?

( This is how families work! )

You found him already? ( If he's understanding this correctly. ) And you aren't staying with him?

[culpa]

I'm going to stay with him, but he said I had to find my laptop first. That it was ( excuse him, raising both his hands up to make air quotation marks. ) important, and that I needed it.

( that other part tho. )

Neither of us listen. So we're both probably the bad ones.

Why don't ya just use his? ( Gosh, that might be fun? Imagine Yuu using Guren's computer to ask dumb questions and ruin Guren's good name on the network in his own name. ) Shouldn't ya be used to sharing if you're family?

( He asks this but he knows family gets on each other's nerves too... but he just wants Yuu to use Gurens' computer? E S P E C I A L L Y if Yuu is a troublemaker. )

And I mean... if neither of ya listen, why start now?

He won't let me. ( stupid guren. it's fine, he can find his own, it's no big deal. and he doubts it'd be that hard to find it either? eventually one of these houses will have a laptop, that's supposed to be his, even if yuu doesn't know what signs to look for that will mark a laptop as his own. )

I'm definitely not starting now.

Sounds like you're listening to me.

( Hmmm. Yuu says he's a troublemaker but could it be... he's a good troublemaker? )

Well, it's not here! So we'll just have to find yours somewhere else, huh?

( he is, in fact, a very well-behaved troublemaker. especially compared to how he was before. )
