Pushed his sister in a well. Mother said, while drawing water, "My, it's hard to raise a daughter." | |
Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! |

But far more important than that is demonstrating his own competence. Does he have to do that? No. Will he anyways? Of course. ]
Well, I was planning to break it up a bit more, but it should make a fine mulch or additive for the soil for the presumably public gardens I believe I saw? I would hardly waste it, as resources seem somewhat limited...
[ To put it lightly. Privately, he believes he may just have to "cheat" and create a few things eventually. ]
Personally, I think it would likely be better for keeping the soil healthy, but that would depend more on factors that I am not yet acquainted with, to be honest.

No, lmao, he's just curious. He just looks like that because he sucks. ]
... You're a jump right in type of person, are you? The mulch would be welcomed, I believe.
[ He looks back to the house then and then the debris and he's just. Still curious. ]
You could've just moved into a better kept house, you know.
no subject
Very much so. Strange as it may sound, my profession has trained me rather well for that. I am quite used to having to do all sorts of unreasonable things, so this is more of the same. Well, a bit more extreme, mind you, but it is still almost second-nature to me at this point.
[ He glances back to his house behind him, but shakes his head as he gives a little shrug ]
Though as such, I hardly need a better kept house. I rather prefer quite spartan living conditions for myself, so a project to improve upon suits me better than something already in good shape.
[ Sebastian seems to realize something, then adds a bit apologetically: ]
...It sounds as if I am dancing around it the more I speak, so do pardon me. I am a butler, and the caretaker of a manor. [ He sets the hammer down on his project in progress so that he can bring a hand up to his chest and dip into a perfectly formal, if politely shallow, bow ] Sebastian Michaelis of the Phantomhive Manor, at your service.

He was going to ask, it was the biggest question on his mind as Sebastian kept going around the subject instead of addressing it directly. What do you do, that would make you this way? That would incite you to take apart a house, rather than simply move into someplace different?
A butler. It almost makes him want to laugh. ]
... Ah. I suppose I understand, I have a... butler myself, at home. He's much the same.
[ It seems disingenuous to Alfred to ignore his chosen profession when he takes such pride in it. The idea of running into another butler here when the profession isn't quite as common as it once used to be, when it's almost archaic -- to pretend he's unfamiliar with what makes a butler, it would feel insulting. So, he had to give Sebastian that much. He's a butler. Bruce has one as well. He understands it. ]
You needn't bow though. That's a little, mm, strange. But that makes me think -- this is an odd question but what year is it where you're from?
no subject
Is it...? [ He partially interrupts to ask when Bruce mentions bowing, but his expression turns to one of light thoughtfulness at the other question. ] Why, it is 1888.
[ Though the fact that he asks does give Sebastian a good guess as to why he's asking, though it does bring a new set of questions with it. ]
I take it that is not the case for you?
