t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [Instead of looking reassured, Izuku just looks confused, brows drawing together even more.

Only a minute or two? He's not wrong, exactly, but All Might...All Might shouldn't be able to stay in his muscle form at all like this.

That's when it hits him; This isn't the first time that timelines haven't matched up. Could it be...? It's the only explanation for All Might being able to use his quirk like this, and Izuku feels...conflicted. While he's happy to see All Might in technically better health, and still able to work as a hero, it's a little heartbreaking to know what awaits his hero in the future.

There's no hiding the way his eyes widen with sudden understanding, so Izuku ducks his head slightly to hide his expression.]

I...I guess you're right!! You know me, All Might. I just worry a lot. Um, just wondering, how's everything back home?

[withwisdom]

Not 'police' - we hold each other accountable. The closest similarity is a defense force that patrols town to watch for any attacks from outside.

[ she's heard some people use that phrase, and even if she doesn't recognize it personally, it's clearly in the context of a professional town watch ]

[ What Sasuke says makes sense to Nico. In ways others haven't quite gotten through to him before. Maybe because he wasn't ready to hear it or wasn't ready to take a risk. He has known some people for a couple of years but they've only recently become friends or moved on from whatever lay between them.

For now, he doesn't say anything in response and just lets the words soak in.

Then the ninja is moving and asking another question. A relatively simple one in comparison to the others and right now he's glad his appetite came back in full-force several months ago. ]

I could eat.

[ They wave a hand dismissively, as if trying to wave off the notion that this is too much of a bother. It's pretty routine to help out the new arrivals, after all. ]

It's fine. It's to be expected considering you just got here... I spend a lot of time in the library, so you can follow me.

[ After a beat, they take the first few steps in the correct direction, beckoning him along. ]

I'm assuming you must have already found your place to stay and all that, if you're worried about your hair?

[withwisdom]

Neither do I. Spirits are vulnerable things despite their forms.

[ the koroks, fairies, they're all shy and recluse from normal society. it isn't impossible to meet one, but they keep to themselves for their own peace of mind. ]

I'm not certain what sort of spirits rest in this realm, but I am certain they lurk here as well. I can't be of much help though, having never seen any.

[This is a great question that Okuni reacts to by blinking her big ole eyes and promptly answering,]

[At least she isn't pretending to be offended anymore!!! She slips her metal fan from her sleeve and slides it open, glancing at Sandy side-long before.]

We're all taken from different places -- or worlds, as some people claim. There are all kinds of people I've never seen before. It's one of the only things I like about this boring town.

[ninjanature]

Alright. I’ll be right back. [Instead of using the “stay here,” he tries another method:] Keep an eye on my things for me.

[Figuring Nico would be as safe in the room as anywhere else in this weird place, Sasuke leaves. He actually walks again through the house, from the room to the front door. It opens, then it shuts.

The garden is close enough for him to get to in several seconds with how fast he is, disappearing and reappearing here and there in different places along the way. Not teleporting. Almost like hopping. If Nico happens to get up and look out the window, this he can see happen unobscured.

In the garden he has a look around. The plants are familiar, and he’s glad. He only takes enough for the two of them, no leftovers. One onion, maybe three mushrooms, two potatoes. An apple they can split. He’s gone maybe ten minutes. Pretty fast. Very ninja.

Nico can hear him return again through the door, hear him in the kitchen moving around. If he gets curious enough to come look.]

[ninjanature]

I see.

[So it isn’t a creature of this world. A creature of another one. Sasuke turns his attention back to Noctis.] Warp? It isn’t teleportation, if that’s what you mean. I’m moving, just very fast. Most people can’t see me with the natural eye.

What is your warping like?

[ That is a good method for Nico, even if he knows it's basically just another way of telling him to stay put while the other goes out and does stuff. That he's essentially put in charge of watching over a bunch of objects - not even a babysitting job.

Nico doesn't actually move from his spot on the floor of Sasuke's room but instead hooks his laptop up to the socket and spends those few minutes scrolling through the top posts. Though the one that catches his attention the most is the mysterious quest poster. That and that something has happened recently.

When the front door does open again, he hesitates to leave the room in case it's actually Sasuke's roommate coming back. Only when the noises start in the kitchen does he close the laptop and get to his feet. Pulling off his jacket and placing it on top of the computer. Just in case, he doesn't leave his sword behind before making his way to where the noises are.

For someone who wasn't trained as a ninja, Nico actually moves through the house with the stealth of one without even trying. Hesitating just a moment at the entrance to the kitchen to confirm that it is indeed Sasuke then entering the room fully. ]

Can I help? [ He eyes the collection of foods brought back. Looks like they'll be having a lot of vegetables.

Without the big bulky jacket on, Nico looks skinnier and smaller but yet fairly muscular for a teen. Part of some vicious looking scars may be peeking out from under the sleeves of his t-shirt that are clearly bigger than what is visible. ]

[ ... see, aigis on a regular day would feel confident about the progress she's made in being people-like. unfortunately, she's still poorly equipped to deal with tsunderes, so.

shiho is a roadblock. that's a fact that shows pretty clear in her expression, as she's so very Confused. ]

Um... I'm afraid I don't understand...

[ help ]

[ Ari nods, not to the first question but the second. ]

[ He'd appreciate it, because he has no idea where anything is in this town yet. ]

[ yikes. that's beary bad to hear.

but she's fur sure taking mental notes on everything he says, so at least lupin doesn't have to worry about something going in one ear and out the other.

the last thing he says definitely gets a more somber expression from her, however. ]

I'm sorry, Lupin-san... I didn't mean to make you recall something so painful.

[ loss in the middle of danger is definitely not lost to her, but somehow hearing that that's what happened is different.

unfortunately, her mind doesn't quite go to "staying away". if anything, hearing all of this makes her think that the forest is too dangerous to just leave alone like that... ]

[AS EXPECTED, Okuni zooms in on the answer that Ryan tries to speed through,]

You can see ghosts? [Her gaze rests on the way Ryan pats... invisible air, then she tilts her head.] Is that what you're holding in your arms? You're hugging a ghost person?

[how ghost scandalous...]

Well, there are some clothes he owns that a normal person would find terribly embarrassing to wear...

[But now she's interested too, as she leans forward a little in her quest to get deets]

Does that sound familiar to you? If you know he does weird stuff, then you must have seen that...!

[ yeah, they could be stuck with mass murderers or something?? that would suck. aigis honestly can't disagree with his statement, given every single person she's met has been a mix of both friendly and helpful. ]

A couple of months is a while... And even longer than that...

[ yeah, just tell it to michael straight up aigis.

maybe her slight sadness at hearing that that's how long people get stuck here is showing a little too clearly, though. she shakes her head--as if willing that negativity away--before continuing. ]

Um... No, I mean-- you're right. Everyone I've met has been so helpful... Including you. [ WHO IS CURRENTLY NAMELESS, but in all this overwhelming mess she hasn't thought to ask yet. ] Thank you.

[ but she's still so Tired, send help. ]

[ really good friends is the way dextera would prefer to put it, yes. it feels weird not just coming out and saying it, but that’s guren’s business—his responsibility, and his leisure, in a way, to tell yuu when he thinks it’s time.

the next question, however, gets him to pause. ]

Noctis doesn't even bother keeping what he thinks about Sasuke's abilities to himself, because it's written all over his face. ]

Aw, man. That's really cool.

[ He wishes he could do that, too! ] Well, it's something like teleportation, and sometimes phasing. Like --

[ Whoop, he's now on the roof in a blink of an eye and a shimmer of blue-white. Crouching, he smiles down at him. ] Where'd you learn to do your thing from?

I'll definitely remember that!

[cheerfully... ominously... but Okuni starts moving, heading away from the well and towards the forest.]

Do you want to distract the bees while I get the honey?

Hoho. And you don’t look a day over seven hundred.

[ they’re actually pretty close to the same age, which is the only thing that keeps her from tacking on a “boy” to that comment.

it does mean that vampires must have more of a presence in his world than in hers, however—she doesn’t think he’s the one. surely she would be able to sense that on him.

she doesn’t like not knowing. ]

I asked because I wanted to know. That’s all.

Haha! [Okuni just LAUGHS at this notion of her being a cute monster... ominous... but she sure is happy!!] It's fine! As long as I get to see some tears or hear lots of shrieking, then that's all I need.

I don't know about springy ears, but there are monsters here that are part lobster and part bear! I could definitely look like that if I try hard enough.

That just gets Okuni to think that Aigis is some breed of punk herself. She's glad to have met this Mischievous Transfer Student???]

It's alright. I like how you're so polite! [okuni says, still thinking Aigis is a Secret Punk] Mr. F just somehow knows. At least, I haven't done anything in particular after each quest. Maybe he spies on us? Gross...! Anyway, what's your name?
