t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. [ Lottie pauses at the information - why bother assigning houses then if you can just leave?? Why kidnap people and force them to live somewhere but be totally lenient in following through???

Well.. Lottie will have to see if the place she lives in is pretty enough to endure for now. Otherwise, she will definitely move someplace secluded. Quiet. Where she can hate people on the internet in peace. So far, it doesn't look terrible.. definitely nothing like her apartment though. ]

Not 'police' - we hold each other accountable. The closest similarity is a defense force that patrols town to watch for any attacks from outside.

[ she's heard some people use that phrase, and even if she doesn't recognize it personally, it's clearly in the context of a professional town watch ]

[ Even if she's not familiar with the phrase, Lottie still understands it enough to know what she means. And while it sounds pretty medieval, she doesn't have any say in it because it's not like she's going to do anything about it herself. ]
