he Town is quiet this week. No sudden quests on the forum post, no roars of werewolves in the distance... just peaceful, peaceful quiet. Of course, it's hot as hell right now, but that aside, it's pretty pleasant. You probably don't want to wander around the Town right now, but... Naturally, now's when the Town is going to start thoroughly encouraging you to do just that. You do want to find your doorway back home, don't you? Better get searching! I. you live like this?

[So. Okuyasu's entire house has shifted into pocket dimension territory, which means that for the next few days, he's going to be pretty confused about why his actual home from Morioh is sitting where his (considerably nicer, actually) Chroma home is supposed to be. It's not obvious from the outside, but walking through his front door will actually leave you just inside the gate of a completely different yard, looking up at his actual home that he really lives in.

That's different, right? If you wander in by yourself you might find Okuyasu just loitering, looking at a NO TRESPASSING sign that actually only says "NO PASSING," (and is in Japanese, but), or heading inside like there's absolutely nothing wrong with this building...

Or if it's a bit later, he'll be outside the pocket dimension, loitering by his own Chroma-standard front door, waiting to wave you down. Hello.]

II. pussywillow. no, but also yes.

[Not in a pocket dimension of his crappy house, Okuyasu has a new pet! From home! That's very exciting!!

It's a plant, though, in a cute little terracotta pot he's carrying around in one arm. And by plant we actually mean it's some horrible cat plant creature, that seems docile enough... almost like it's sleeping. But if approached it will hiss and curl itself up dangerously, prompting Okuyasu to cover its "face" with his hand--

Which, in turn, prompts the cat plant to bite him. He'll be at this routine for a while, probably telling it he's going to give it sand instead of soil any day now.

Eventually, he flags down someone's attention, either with a wave or actually reaching out to grab a sleeve.]

Oi, hold my cat.

III. this isn't related to pocket dimensions at all

[But it is in the center of town, by the well, and his ridiculous cat plant is still with him, sitting on the ground in its little pot off to the side. Here's Okuyasu's latest plan to deal with Mr. F:

Drawing in the dirt. Stay with him. Following the logic that someone or something is messing with whatever people do near the well, he has decided that if Mr. F is watching, maybe this is the way to send him a message. You know, since he doesn't respond online, take it to the real world. Fight him, as the kids say, irl.

So Okuyasu has a stick and is making a mess, as usual. He's drawn a cool S or two, a money goose like a true chain letter mastermind, and is currently working on an actual message with words in it.

The words are not very nice. Every so often he stops and shuffles back a few yards, watching the well, waiting for something to happen, then goes back when nothing actually does.

So this is an experience.]

[What's the first thing Ochako does when she finds out her second story window is a portal to a mall? Explore, of course, but as soon as she realizes it's safe—and that it isn't the only portal in Chroma—she's obviously heading straight over to Okuyasu's place to share the wild news. It's time to drag him on yet another weird adventure.

Except barging into his house unannounced leads to... a house-within-a-house. A decrepit, haunted-looking house-within-a-house. ...Hmm. She stands there for a moment, puzzled, before spotting a very familiar figure loitering nearby.]

Okuyasu? [Why... are you staring at a sign? No, actually—] Do you know this place?

[Actually let's leave immediately and go to the mall, that sounds like a better time. Or, no, this is happening, Ochako has arrived here in probably-fake-but-good-enough Morioh, here to look at... this house. Okuyasu hasn't clued in yet that other people can come in here, so he's a little surprised to look up and see her—

But uh, cool? Better than wandering around in here by himself, he supposes. Check out this sign...]

without even thinking about it because he registers okuyasu's voice and goes SURE OKAY mentally and just holds out his hands and then he gets this terracotta nightmare and just goes. ]

[That's true broship, Dave, thank you very much. Okuyasu automatically hands over his fucking nightmare pet, which eyes Dave suspiciously but mercifully doesn't seem inclined to bite him over Okuyasu at the moment.]

My cat. [Like that was the problem.] Don't put your face near 'im.

That's a cat? [Then in a flash of brilliance:] Are you sure it's not a cat-us?

[That's not a no, but she's definitely not reaching out to take the...cat(?) either.]

[TAKE...THE CAT. Okuyasu continues to hold out the pot, expectantly. Any day now, Kaoru.]

A what? No, it's Stray Cat. Here, c'mon. [wiggles the cat plant at her!!]

[All things considered, Aizawa's seen his fair share of mutation quirks in his life.

But he's never seen it applied to an animal, so while he doesn't disbelieve the guy, he... kind of stares down at the plant.]

Does it really need to be held? [He doesn't see a point if it has no means to move about on its own, unless there's feet underneath that terracotta pot??]

[Old man, please do him a solid here and hold this cat. He's still holding it out.]

Yeah, I don't want him getting pissed off. He likes being carried around.

[ Maya. That's not its name. But to think she'd actually get to meet the famous cat plant and it... is actually quite pissed off, so the suggestion to hold it gets a raised eyebrow and a little shrug of the arm in its sling. ]

[The pussywillow!!! Okuyasu looks at her, noticing the arm-- oh, oops-- and mercifully does not insist she should carry this cat plant around with one arm. He's nice.]

Stray Cat! [pussywillow heheheh] My house turned up, so I went and got him!

[It's so mad... it's trying to hit him with leaves.]

[After getting a bunch of...money guess in his mailbox, Kei's first order of business that way was to head to Okuyasu and speak with him. The wind is taken out of the sails by his unusual request.]

Your...father? Did he show up in the well?

[Why doesn't Nanjo like money geese... Okuyasu is glad to see him, totally unsuspecting of any geese lectures he could be getting right now.]

Nah, but my house showed up! I didn't see him before, but y'know... [maybe.]

[There's no way Okuni can ignore Okuyasu and his attempt at vandalism even if the weather is extremely hot and there are portals leading to all sorts of places, like probably Disneyland or something. The fact that he's drawing what looks like a message is interesting enough, but the picture that he's drawing is --

Okuni strides right up next to him, almost accidentally scuffing a word with her shoes, whoops.]

[She's pointing at the picture, but she's looking at Okuyasu. You're the money goose, Okuyasu. That's you]

[Whoa, hey, careful of this masterpiece gurl!! Okuyasu almost startles, looking at her with a raised eyebrow and not quite getting it for a second, somehow. Hold on...

I'm Okuyasu. [this was definitely the main point of contention, yes] But yeah, sorta, I started it.

[ When you walk through a door and end up in a front yard. Crazy. You know what's crazier? Actually finding that you recognise this front yard, along with the house it's attached to and all the surrounding buildings around it. Actually being able to look at your own house, that is innocuously somewhere down the street! Either this is one crazy, wish-fulfilling dream, or they're ... home.

This is Josuke's first experience with this pocket dimension nonsense, so naturally, he's stunned. ] Dude. We're actually ... home. [ How he's missed this yellow sky!! Even Okuyasu's torn down house that really needs to be renovated is looking like a 5 Star Hilton Hotel right now. Josuke doesn't even know what to do with this information; these past few months in Chroma have felt like actual years and it's a lot of whiplash to suddenly be home after so many days with no hope in sight. ]

It even says 'No Passing' ... [ He crouches down to touch the sign. If this is a replica, it's a really accurate one. ]

[Hey dude, what's up, it's the shittiest house on the block. Even Josuke's house is kind of visible the next street over behind the fuzzier houses Okuyasu just does not remember enough... sadly they can't go there from here.

Anyway, here they... are? In the empty neighborhood. Okuyasu leans his elbow on the gate while Josuke slav squats to look at the sign.]

I know, right? You think this is for real? It's kinda... foggy everywhere but here.

[ Lupin is polite enough not to barge into Okuyasu's house without warning - so he'll be passing by, probably going to get more water so he can just sit in the bathtub all day and escape the heat, when Okuyasu calls out to him. ]

Dunno! But my house is here, so maybe my dad's in there too?

[Even Okuyasu kind of doubts this, but he feels compelled to be absolutely certain.]

[Place John probably didn't mean to wind up at: this. But it's Okuyasu and so when he sees him waving he just floats on over even if he's giving him a very, very perplexed look.]

[It is both and neither, actually, thanks Rin!!! Okuyasu wiggles the pot just a little, like this will convince Rin to take it. Stray Cat hisses, because it is actually alive.]
