he Town is quiet this week. No sudden quests on the forum post, no roars of werewolves in the distance... just peaceful, peaceful quiet. Of course, it's hot as hell right now, but that aside, it's pretty pleasant. You probably don't want to wander around the Town right now, but... Naturally, now's when the Town is going to start thoroughly encouraging you to do just that. You do want to find your doorway back home, don't you? Better get searching! [ Maya. That's not its name. But to think she'd actually get to meet the famous cat plant and it... is actually quite pissed off, so the suggestion to hold it gets a raised eyebrow and a little shrug of the arm in its sling. ]

[The pussywillow!!! Okuyasu looks at her, noticing the arm-- oh, oops-- and mercifully does not insist she should carry this cat plant around with one arm. He's nice.]

Stray Cat! [pussywillow heheheh] My house turned up, so I went and got him!

Nah, this is what he always acts like. Could be worse, actually.

Some kind of giant demon that hates healers and likes to set things on fire? It didn't follow us out, from what I can remember, so...

[ A shrug. ]

You didn't totally waste it? Damn.

[That means somebody else is going to have to, or at least someone will march out there and try to and it will be bad. That's how it works!!]

So, wait, it's not... heal..able? Your arm.

Not completely. With some help, I've cut the normal healing time in half, but that's about as much as it'll cooperate.

For real? Like when Guren couldn't heal himself after the bogeyman?

[Guren is also a stubborn old man... but it's the same concept, surely.]

Maybe they're all like that... [terrible.] Hey, if those things never come outta the woods, why do we bother going in there to kill 'em?

Probably to make sure they don't come out of the woods. And also to inform ourselves a little more in case some other crazy group decides to go run into the woods. If nothing else, knowing what they might run into could keep people from dashing in at night.

But they're not coming outta there unless one of us pisses 'em off first. We could just stop going in the woods like a bunch of dipshits.

Mm, we could! But I guess as long as people keep doing it, I'll keep running damage control.
