no subject
He makes his way to the well, sees someone waiting there and hazards a guess,] ...are you one of the guys I'm meeting? For, uh, going after a wolf?
[Introductions are awkward. He's not great at this.]
no subject
[Says a voice from on top of one of the awnings of a nearby house. He front flips and lands on his feet on the ground. He walks over, staff strapped to his back. He looks between the two of them. He pulls the pliers out of his pants pocket.]
I'm ready to play wolf dentist if you two are.
no subject
Yeah, I'm Shouto Todoroki. You're Keith, and this is Mysterion.
Has anybody seen a wolf out there? Because this could be a while.
no subject
He doesn't say anything though, but does lift a hand to disengage his mask for the moment.]
Not yet no, but wolves should be in the woods, right? Let's hope they're not too hard to find.
no subject
[Mysterion said with a shrug. It was the truth. He looks out to the forest.]
Let's make sure to leave a trail to come back and wonder into the forest. The wolves will smell us and come looking eventually.
no subject
[He'd really rather not have a Midoriya level trouble magnet, but they'll figure themselves out one way or another.]
Anybody have string? I can make some ice to follow, but it'll melt depending on how long we're out there.
no subject
[A shrug of his shoulders, and Keith shakes his head.] The forest... sort of shifts. Like it has a mind of its own. Or at least that's what it feels like.
[No this is good they'll be fine.]
no subject
I don't got string. Let's mark trees and have someone climb up them to get a look around the area.
That way, even if the forest shifts we know which trees are tall enough to see the town if we climb up.
no subject
I don't have a knife on me. Or chalk. But I can get up a tree fast enough.
no subject
[Which he brandishes in demonstration before slipping it back into its sheath. Sounds like a good enough plan to Keith.]
And there are deer. But they're... not normal.
no subject
If we find a deer, I saw we catch it and use it as bait. Wolves will smell the blood. How are they not normal? Do they have like two heads or something?
no subject
But if we've got a way back, we might as well get started.
[He'll start walking towards the forest.]
no subject
[Keith frowns, but nods at the mention of getting going.] I still don't particularly like running errands for the folks in charge here, but yeah. If we're doing this, better get going. May as well make the most of the daylight, in case this does take a long time.

Quest 2: Gold leaf
He's just leaning against the well, waiting for the two of them to show up. They're the two yellows he actually knows well. The requirement might be one yellow, but it can't hurt to have two of them.]
no subject
[Yuuya isn't too hard to spot approaching. His white feathers do blend into the monochrome world around them but, well, a giant pigeon has a tendency of just standing out. And the glasses. And the bright orange tie. You know, maybe Yuuya just happens to stand out, it's ingrained into his very being to be hard to ignore.]
Salutations! [he lifts a wing in greeting. He's maybe a few minutes early, not giving off an excessively punctual feeling but at least enough that you knew he was somewhat reliable.]
So, it's leaf hunting today, hm? I'll admit, I'm a little worried, as I saw nothing of the sort on the walk over...
no subject
Todoroki-kun, Sakazaki-kun. Where do you think we should start?
no subject
Maybe that's the best he can hope for right now.]
In the forest.
[Shouto's a huge help, isn't he?]
no subject
Nothing gets by you, does it Todoroki?
Although my suggestion was about the same. We should pick a point to start at and a distance we're comfortable going from that point.
no subject
What about the leaf, though? The quest never mentioned if the tree we're looking for has regained its color or not.
no subject
[He doesn't know if Yuuya can fight, but Shouto can cover for him.]
... Should we just pull a leaf off of every tree we come across? That seems time intensive. Maybe there's a gold leafed tree in there.
no subject
Since it's looking for a golden leaf, we can assume there will be some indicator of color. And if there were a single tree that had all of them, well... [he holds his wings out and shrugs] Maybe it's silly but I feel like the quest would be too easy, then. One person could find the tree and then every other person could complete the quest by taking a leaf from that tree.
Since Midoriya and I were required, I'm going to assume our presence has something to do with it. Maybe it'll reveal itself if we come in contact with it?
no subject
I think Sakazaki-kun has a point. If a "yellow" person like us was required for this quest, then we might be the only ones who can find this tree. And the color has been coming back because of the quests, as far as we can tell.
Should we just touch the trees along the way? There's two of us, so we can cover more ground between us.
no subject
[But he'll defer to the two yellows in the group. Shouto's just here for... emotional and physical support?
Probably?]
no subject
I see, so then mapping wouldn't have been successful and we'll have to keep our wits about us... [Worst case scenario, he can just fly above the trees. He's not worried about himself, though.]
Would it help to leave any markings on the tree, as we touch them?
no subject
[The look on his face grows even more subdued as he says this.]
We should still mark the trees we've already tried, though. To keep track. [He glances between the two of them.] Should we grab something to mark up the trees with before we start?
