You know, I still haven't seen you in action yet! Why don't we try the Chimera one?

Clark | Quest 16

[inheritance]

[True to form, Izuku begins muttering to himself as he and Clark enter the forest in search of the elusive unicorns.]

The quest didn't specify what kind of unicorns we'll be running into...I wonder what kind they'll be? Even if they're benevolent creatures in some myths, they're also aggressive in others according to Wayne-kun. It'll be for the best if we're prepared to fend them off in case they turn out to be the more aggressive kind. But then there's the curse to take into account, too... if we harm the unicorns, even if we don't intend to take the horn for selfish purposes, would that be enough to get us into trouble...?

As long as we act respectfully, I'm sure we'll be fine.

[ He glances over towards Izuku. ]

Which you should keep in mind especially. I'm reasonably certain they'll be more like to approach you than me.

You think so? [Izuku looks up at Clark questioningly.]

I mean, some of the myths specifically say the unicorns prefer to approach girls, but I think the quest would have mentioned if it was limited to certain people, right? The only requirement was that you needed someone from Ruga to come along.

Mutsu | Quest 16

[Off into the forest they go! Though Izuku has no idea what kind of unicorn they'll be running into, the aggressive kind or the more benevolent kind, Izuku's looking forward to seeing what they're like anyway.]

It's a little exciting to see all these mythical creatures here, isn't it, Mutsu-san? The quest didn't say anything about fighting the unicorns, so I'm hoping that means they're the peaceful kind!

( Off they go! Mutsu had never heard of a unicorn until now so he's curious to see what this is, exactly. He's been able to gather some information: It's a horse with a single horn on it's head. It's a good creature? And they're supposed to be rare and magical. It all sounds so easy. )

Yeah, yeah! ( He's really excited and it's even better since he's in such good company right now. ) I heard they were pretty nice.. makes me wonder what the catch is.

They might be hard to find! [Izuku pauses, then adds--] Or really picky about who they let approach them.

Apparently some of the myths say that they'll even become aggressive if they think you're not worthy... [Izuku fidgets nervously.] I guess we'll have to see which kind of unicorn it is once we find them!

quest 19

[Somehow without noticing, Izuku had become one of Percy's primary questing partners. It was pretty easy to arrange stuff with him and figure it out together and this round of quests were a little more his speed anyway. While he wasn't sure if the unicorn one would work well for them, nor did he exactly trust either of them with arrows, the chimera one sounded simple enough. How hard could the requirements be?

...in his defense, he hadn't entirely read the whole thing all the way through before reaching out to Izuku to tackle said-quest. But he'd be a jerk to back out now and it's why he shows up at Izuku's house a day after they discussed it, knocking on the door and waving as soon as he sees the guy.]

Hey. Ready to get started?

Ready! [Izuku chirps at him, looking pleased when he sees Percy standing there.]

Let's see... I remember seeing that we'd have to do this as soon as we start the quest so... [With a smile, Izuku offers his hand to Percy. Time to hold hands, partner!]

[hydrokinetics]

[He rolls his eyes goodnaturedly but okay, fine. He...reaches out and holds Izuku's hand. Great! Quest completed.

Okay not really, but it's not so bad.] Ever wonder why they make quests like these? [He's also going to start walking, pulling Izuku gently to get him to follow.]

Maya & Minato | 7/6

[With Maya in such bad condition from their fight with the forest guardian, Izuku pushes the limit of how much power he can channel at the moment, ignoring the stinging pain in his legs as he bounds through the forest, back toward the village.

If Maya's really a persona user then... there's only one choice that would make sense, for a healer. Izuku touches down in front of Minato's house, careful not to drop Maya as he foregoes the polite route and pushes the door open.] Arisato-kun! Are you here?

[messianic]

[Of course Minato's immediately heading down the stairs as soon as he hears the door push open, especially with Izuku calling out to him in that tone of voice.

(Did something happen...?)]

Midoriya-kun? I'm here, what--

[He makes it down the stairs far enough to see, and drags in a hitched breath.]

Amano-san...!

[Sorry for turning up on your doorstep looking all bloodied and beat up! It's important, though...]

Can you heal her? [Izuku tightens his grip slightly, looking at Minato pleadingly.]

She's a persona user, right? I thought.. maybe it would be for the best if we went to you.

Sora | Quest 16

[After getting to know Sora a bit at the defense force meeting, Izuku has the brilliant idea of doing a quest together. That's another way to become better friends, right?

So, he hops onto his forum account and sends Sora a message.]

Hey! It's Midoriya. I was thinking of trying the unicorn quest. You're a red, right? Want to do this one with me?

heeeeyy! yeah, i'm red!! i'd be so up for some unicorn hair hunting! want to meet up right now?

[How does one hunt a unicorn...? He's not sure but he's pretty good at winging things on the fly.]

Yeah, let's do it!! I'm kind of curious about the unicorns here after all the reading I did on them before.

Meet up at the well?

Shiho | 7/16 ish

[As soon as Izuku gets the message from Shiho, he makes his way over to the well, where she'd requested that they meet. It's one of the most recognizable places in this town, after all!

He's a little surprised when she isn't there yet, but!! That's okay. Izuku hops back so he can sit right down on the rim, and then he stays there, legs swinging slightly as he waits for her.]

[Giving Izuku information had gotten increasingly easier over time. It helps that she doesn’t think he’d give her away to someone else on purpose. (Out of excitement, maybe? But that can’t be helped.)

Maybe stopping by to touch a doorknob, the colour back in it and showing it to be some sort of metal was a mistake. But she’d touched walls and dead things often enough, a doorknob shouldn’t be a problem. Or so she thinks. It’s resistant, a lot more resistant than she expects it to be and all she gets is idyllic small town life, parents warning their children to stay away from the forest.

Frowning, not entirely aware she was already late for the meeting, she pushes harder.

And then drops to her knees, pulling her hand back immediately as she’s hit with a migraine. She had been careless and as she tries to blink back the spots swimming in her vision, she stumbles against a wall. Is she really, really late now? Probably. Please come find her, Izuku...]

[A few minutes late? No problem. Those things happen, especially when it's so easy to lose track of time without cellphones or watches! When the minutes continue to tick past and Shiho still doesn't show, though, the concern begins to settle in. He stays put, just for a few minutes more in case she turns up, but once it becomes clear that she won't be, Izuku hops off the well and takes to the rooftops instead.

Moving as quickly as he is with the help of his quirk, Izuku jumps from roof to roof, scanning the area below until--there!]

Sannomiya-san! [He drops down and races over to her. A quick scan tells him that she doesn't look injured, but she's obviously in pain, slumped against the wall as she is.] Are you okay? What happened?

Guren | 7/6

[Once Izuku knows that Maya's safe, and he's been patched up a bit himself, Izuku heads right over to Guren's place, the tight knot in his chest that's been there since his teacher took a hit for him not letting up one bit.

Logically, he knows that Guren's going to be fine. He's recovered from being stabbed through his heart before, after all. That doesn't make him feel any better.

Expression grim, Izuku knocks on the door.]

[Someone's at the door. Someone's at the door and... Guren doesn't want to get up and get it. It's not like the bogeyman, where he's emotionally bothered. Maya was hurt, Izuku was hurt, even Tonbokiri got injuries, but they were all alive. They did it, they survived. Thank god. It had been so close there, for a moment.

He's cozy in bed, with Dextera at his side. He'd been snoring quite comfortably himself, for a while there, and now he's turning into him a little more, arm around him, enough that he doesn't have to wake him up, as well.

Guess Izuku is going to have to come interrupt!!]

Tonbokiri | 7/6

[Of course, once Maya's been healed to a much better condition, and he's seen that Guren's still hanging in there (though the lingering injuries still make him wince), Izuku makes his way over to Tonbokiri's place. It's not that he doesn't trust Maribelle's handiwork--he just wants to make sure his friends are all okay.

Knock, knock! If Tonbokiri doesn't answer in a couple minutes, Izuku will tentatively push the door open.]

[When the knock comes, Tonbokiri is in the midst of cleaning off his armour, and so is able to answer. He smiles down at his guest. Although the night is still young, it feels like it's been an incredibly long time since he parted ways with Midoriya-dono.

Tonbokiri now has bandages wrapped around his shoulders, and one small one around his left upper arm, but otherwise appears undamaged. Through his smile he peers at the boy closely, particularly his arm.]

Thank you for coming back. How are the others, and you?
