[OPEN] june prompts and catch-all!
WHO: Emma and Open!
WHERE: All Over
WHEN: June catch-all
WHAT: Open prompts and closed! Lots of animals??
WARNINGS: n/a at the moment
OTA - A survey;
[Could this more easily be done on the forum? Yes. But Emma is putting boots to the ground and putting faces to names. She can't associate people with their hexcodes forever!
So, it doesn't matter where you are in town or what you're doing. Emma appears, old notebook held diligently in hand, and a pencil at the ready.]
Excuse me, I would like to ask a question. [Were you going to refuse this solicitor? Too late.] What's your favorite type of animal?
[Yup. That's the very serious question. She's waiting.]
OTA - on the hunt(?);
[As the Month starts an explosion of color occurs around the forest's perimeter. So many animals that were once perfectly camouflaged within the gray underbrush have burst into startling color. The sheer novelty of the sight after months of gray has piqued Emma's interest. She's usually out and about but she's exploring even more trying to identify all the new critters.
Unfortunately, the majority of colorful animals are relatively small. You may find Emma stalking after bright orange lizards sunning on rocks, OR watching bunnies from a far, OR setting up little piles of seeds to lure out the purple mice. You get the picture. The sky is the limit as more and more animals are discovered.
If the animals are ever startled away (thanks) then Emma will sprint after them, attempting to jump and catch them.]

[closed] ochako and izuku
After they're mostly done Emma pops up from the table with a grin.]
I wanna show you guys something. [And she's off to grab a piece of cardboard that she has two corners of a puzzle mostly completed. The puzzle pieces are frighteningly small but from what's been completed it looks like a photograph of a group of children on a beautiful spring day.] I received it a few days ago... I was thinking we can finish it together.
[You're not afraid of a few thousand puzzle pieces, right guys?]
no subject
You got a puzzle, Emma-chan? [Izuku immediately brightens with interest.] The rewards from the quest really are random... [He picks up one of the puzzle pieces, turning it over in his hands.]
I think it'd be fun to work on this together! What is it supposed to look like when it's finished?
no subject
It looks like part of a face, doesn't it, Deku-kun? And there are more over there— [She glances back at the big piece of cardboard. Definitely faces, and definitely kids' faces. Hmm.] Emma-chan, are these people you know?
[A shot in the dark, really, but many of the prizes she's seen have been important to their owners in one way or another.]

Hm... I suppose I may be biased, but my answer is "horses".
no subject
Thank you! There's no issue of bias when it's a personal question. Although I guess I should have guessed the answer to that one.
[It's hard to miss the single house in Flavo with two horses pastured outside.]

... Ace, no.
[ But Bruce can answer? Yeah, sure. He can answer. He's not going to say bats. He better not say bats. ]
Dogs.
no subject
Noted. [In a second, after she is done rubbing Ace's head.] You're another easy answer. Can't say anything else with a cutie like this right here, right?
no subject
Emma's response does make Bruce look a little wry, lifting a shoulder in a shrug. ]
I suppose not. Though we have a few pets at home, beyond Ace. He's just the only one who, ah, joined us for this.

I don't have a favorite, but if I had to pick one... sharks, probably. They've roamed the oceans for over 400 million years and survived four of the five global extinction events. It's fascinating that they've been able to overcome the odds and adapt to change for so long.
no subject
At the moment Emma just seems surprised. This is one of the first answers that hits her out of left field. And yet appreciating sharks doesn't seem that far fetched. She diligently jots down his name and answer in her notebook.]
That's a new one! It's a cool answer though. It matches your image.
on the hunt
You're going to have a lot of trouble catching them if you go about it like that.
no subject
Looks like... It's hard catching them alive without hurting them. I just want a closer look!
no subject
Then you should try setting traps. You'll have to be patient and wait but you should have more success.
[He's staring at where the frog had disappeared.]
Why did you want to get a closer look at it?

on the hunt!
Let's corner them.
[And with that she's going to the other side of a group of bunnies, her footsteps soft. Like this, she's hoping to run one at Emma.]
no subject
Alright.
[She sticks to her side of the bunnies, slowly approaching, yet still ready to dart to either side to catch any bunny that risks escaping too close to her. There's no doubt about it that she is going to get her hands on one of these fluffy woodland critters.]
no subject
Slowly...slowly....]
Now!
[And with that, she steps forward, surprising the bunnies which run away in the opposite direction. Catch one, Emma! Or else all this activity will be wasted!]

He stares at Emma, frozen in place. The gears in his head are spinning in conflict. Surely he has a favorite animal! Ah, but. Libraries don't have opinions... A Library with a bias is tainted and ought be destroyed...!
Therefore, as a Living Library, he mustn't have an answer. But goodness, she's waiting and he can't leave a lady hanging...!]
Uhhhh well. Yes. [Not a real answer.]
no subject
Um! My name is Emma and I'm just asking a few questions of everyone here. It may seem a little silly but I would love to know what your favorite animal is.
[Was that the problem???]
no subject
But he's also a people pleaser.]
Well... uh... perhaps... The spider deer must be my favorite. [nod.] The one Mr Caramia and I have in our house.
[The one that is absolutely not Eliot's favorite. But this seems like the best answer.]

Survey
A dragon.
[Said without hesitation or a hint of irony.]
no subject
A dragon! That's super cool- What kind do you like best? Like the ones that hoard gold or the more noble kind?
[She's... still poised to take notes? Okay.]
[closed] sometime before the wolves
Thankfully, she has some idea where the sheep gather now consider she has been hunting them for the past week now. She has a really good feeling about this trail.]
Maybe this way, Ochako! I think there's a clearing ahead that they might be eating at.
[Look, maybe and might are the best you can do when you can't actually see anything.]
no subject
If they are there, what's the best way for us to handle this? [And her sheep experience is extremely limited, so—] If I sneak up on them one at a time, I can make them float... but they'll be really loud, won't they? Maybe that will just scare the rest of them away...
[But think about this, Emma: Sheep! Balloons!!]
no subject
We only need to catch a few to sheer. It's fine if the rest run away. [They can't stop them from going either. Sheep balloons though... Now there is a fine idea.] If we locate the herd do you think you can run in and touch two before the rest run? I can try to tie them before they float away too far.
[Because if they don't then they'll never find invisible sheep drifting through the air.]
