t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? [Sidon might be many things, but he was able to judge others with clearer clarity than some...perhaps due to his sister. The silence hurts him more than he thought it would. Seeing her in pain stirs something within him that continues to frustrate, a thought echoing in the back of his mind that simply won't come forward.

He has to be like his family. So then he attempts to smile at her.]

[For whatever reason, the answer is given with humor in her voice. It's not immediately clear what she finds funny, especially since she's moving on quickly.

She's still surprised, but the initial shock has faded enough that she can slip easily enough into her usual mode: banter.]

You know, somehow, you sound exactly how I'd imagine a cat would.

[HMM, OKUNI IS OFFENDED. She is a liar through and through and loves making up stupid stories, but to be accused of lying when she's telling the truth for once... You reap what you sow. but still.]

You'll find those bears eventually. They'll have the head and claws of a crab and lots of extra little legs, and also they'll breathe fire -- but more importantly, they love eating men too suspicious to believe they exist. The taste of a disbeliever is really too tempting to pass up on...!

Easily, Phos can tell that this person isn't on the "rock compound" side of what materials he consists of, but.. Stitches? The mere thought of it makes them turn round and fix this dude with a look of pure bafflement. ]

( a weird conversation to get into with a guy who he doesn't even know the name of, but. it's not one he's against talking about. yuu's rather open about where he stands when it comes to this stuff. lips purse as he takes another step forward, finds another door handle and wraps fingers around it.

I've lost everyone, twice. ( voice steady even if his tone lowers a little. ) I don't really remember much about the first time, but the second? I watched my whole family be murdered in front of me. Everyone I was trying my best to protect, everyone I loved and cared about. I was one of the oldest, it was my job to protect them, but I ran them right into their deaths.

( he's going to fix it. bring them all back to life. fuck everything else if it means getting his kids back. )

I didn't want to make friends or be around anyone after, but a new family found me, and took me in--even when I told them I didn't care about them and didn't want them. So I'm not going to ever let it happen again. I'd rather lose myself than have to stand by helplessly while that happens, again.

[Guren breathes it out, suddenly tenser than before. Why bring up Yuu? Why bring it up like that? Dealing with ninjas isn't so out of the ordinary, considering his track record, but he doesn't know what this guy wants, and being unable to tell always has him on edge. He's like a cat, wound up and ready to strike if necessary, even when the hand reaching out is peaceful.]

[Hmm, that's right. He'd been the one to take Yuu's place in donations when Mika was here. And Crowley... well, he could take care of himself, but Guren doesn't like the idea of that in such a small town.

I've got things taken care of so he doesn't hurt anyone. But he's getting antsy. Maybe you can convince him to calm down.

[Oh, alright-- Reim stops and sort of defensively raises his hand that isn't sticking a handkerchief to his face again. Goodness--]

I wouldn't be, but it's possible, yes. I-- I have stitches elsewhere right now, if you must know.

[But he's not going to take his fancy clothes off to prove it, so just trust him: there are stitches.]

[HE IS OFFERING... There was a point when he was feeding three vampires at once, staggering the days and keeping them in vials as best as he could... So, he thinks it's fine.]

[ that would explain why she was wandering around in this district. sierra isn’t an expert on the layout of the town yet, despite having taken a walk for her own purposes, but she’s got a rough estimate with the help of that map on the bulletin board. ]

[He pushes his glasses upwards as he typically does before speaking again.]

Truthfully, it was something else that clued me first. [And thankfully he won't beat around the bush either.] I am a Persona user, much like you are, and able to send other users. One would assume you are from my future.

[ There are worse people, she thinks. Sierra's been incredibly patient and kind so far, and it just means Kisa will have to make extra sure not to get in her way.

So she nods, though she looks up at her tentatively, if just to check that she's okay with having this silent oddball as a housemate. ]

[Giiiirl, just give him! The deets! He licks his paw once more, pretending like that isn't the most annoying question he's been asked thus far. He gets what she's going for, but still! Asking where he learned to talk...]

[And with that being said, Mogget jumps right into that toasty jacket. Hell yes, my dude... hell yes. He's ready for a brushing, a fish, and a nap, in that very order.]

[He buries his face into the fabric, ostensibly to wipe the water from his cheeks, but quiet muttering can just barely be heard. Something about desperate times calling for desperate measures...]

[He dug in to the bag again, pulling out a warm container. It was filled with steamed white rice and some lightly fried fish and vegetables.]

[ A laugh for a laugh, and Momo shakes his head. ]

Nope! I actually just got here too, so we're on the same boat.

[ He kicks his makeshift ball out from under his foot; lets it arc and land on his knee, where he juggles it once, twice. ]

I've never had to think about things like this before, either. But there are so many people here— kids, even— who've been hard at work here for months! So I think we're in good company.

[ Trying to wrestle the obvious look of disgust from being too plain on their face results in Phos offering more of a horrified, nervous smile instead. They can't be too judgmental but, wow. What kind of poor species..]

I don't know how to sew, but I can try if that's what you need most..!

( crowley isn't mika, who listens to an extent and acts like a hissy cat but really just. wants to be present. he likes sparring with crowley, but burning the energy of a vampire that strong will be. hard. especially all by himself, without his squad. nts: bother crowley more. )

I can offer him my blood, since giving up a lot's not going to hurt me any.

But if you are offering to catch a fish, even a mutated one, then it would be terribly rude of me to turn you down. [He inclines his head the slightest bit, emerald green eyes seeming the slightest bit brighter.] I humbly accept.

[He just can't help that sarcastic edge that creeps into his voice near the end! He's a cat!]

Krypto's a good boy, he loves cats. But if he gets too close I can shoo him off for a little while, don't worry.

( with mogget in his arms, jon wraps the jacket tight around his tiny wet body, rubs him down a little as he turns on his heels and starts walking off towards damian's boathouse in bluo. )

Bet I can find you some food, too. Are you hungry, Mr. Cat?

[ She actually has to think about how to answer that. ]

I was ... traveling, back home. I was on a journey with my friends.

[ She was right, people back home didn't really have ears shaped like that. Hylian was also a race she had never heard of. ]

You're right about that.

[ She wasn't even going to bother asking how she knew that they couldn't go home. If this girl had been here for a while and hadn't found a way back, then there was no known way. If she had had any doubts, all it would have taken was one look at the way she smiled to know that she wasn't lying. ]

Is there at least any way to know how people back home are doing, even if we can't go there ourselves?

[ She'd be placated if she could at least know that everyone was okay. She could also try to soma link later, but if they were really that far away from home, would it even work? ]

[He keeps saying this...hmm. He says it so firmly, too.]

Besides, I need you always at your best strength, in case something stronger attacks us.

[ Unfortunately, Momo is a chronic ad-libber; he's turning towards Connor now, makeshift jacket-rope in one hand and his heart under the other. ]

They really should... but I'm more worried about your brother [ okay, Connor is definitely not Japanese, so it's time for Momo to think fast ] ...David! He's alone and sick at home, right?

[ With that said, Momo starts peeling off his shirt to add a few more inches to his clothes ladder. ]
