t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well. (And elsewhere, in the Town, everyone's waking up to gifts of various usefulness, but hopefully they remember to check the well today even so!) What now? Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. We're not sure yet. But apart from the mutant animals we also have banshees and werewolves and things like that, so I guess figuring that out hasn't been our main priority.

I think someone figured out a way to fix the mutant animals but it sounds like it'd kill half of what made up the animal.

[The overwhelming presence of color surprises her, given what she's seen outside, and the rest of the house is out of the ordinary as well. Her eyes linger on the skeleton and the lobster for a few moments each, before they come to rest on the piano. Before anything else, she gestures to it.]

Hey, I think it's okay! [ He gives Ryan a sturdy clap on the shoulder to try and get him to settle down a bit. ] I don't think the water's rising any higher, so if we just find a way out ...

[ He sounds a pretty uneasy himself, but Jion does know from experience that outright panic doesn't get anything done, and he occupies himself squinting up towards the top of the well. ]

We have these "computers" instead of a postman, then? Is that the general concept?

Demons don't kill or eat humans. They're supposed to scare them and give them nightmares so humans don't destroy the world with all their meddling. Eating you isn't a necessary step.

Though some vampire demons do need blood, it doesn't have to be human blood. [That might just be Val though.]

I'm not really sure how it works either... this place can revive some of us, or something like that, I suppose.

[Either way... Minato shakes his head, rubbing the back of his neck a little ruefully in response.]

[He wavers between asking him not to tell anyone and feeling like that's a not entirely fair burden to put on his shoulders, and finally just sighs.]

I've almost forgotten that there are colors like these. [Chroma is just like a gradient of reds and yellows and blues and also maybe some purple or green. but here, have ur shoes back momos] But still, this picture is a little lame...! I haven't really gotten a chance to look around just yet, to be honest. This place doesn't really give a very, uh, welcoming sort of vibe, what with the whole being-dumped-in-a-well thing and all.

[So. Guren's house... Three floors. Hideously colored. But Guren has the biggest room, on the top floor. It's tidy, there's a bookshelf with all of his things on it: an embroidery of a heart, a lion plushie, a couple of music boxes, some kind of cardboard crown. Then, he's got drawers full of knives in a dresser, along with a few sets of his uniform that he picked up from going back to their worlds, and a box filled with fuda.

His laptop is password protected, and there's a hole in the ceiling right above the shitty bed. There's now a nice purple quilt over the bed, at least

Guren is used to people in his house coming into his room, but Yuu is like a tornado, so when he steps in to see that he's messing around in here, he's instantly irritated.]

No. There's no fucking way. The diary didn't say anything about kids, and even if it had this guy would be way too old. It doesn't make any sense, but Jotaro can tell when his mom's out and about or in the house and he could feel it when his grandpa went back to America and he could feel this guy's presence before he saw him, which can only mean he has the birthmark. He snarls--okay, more like his brow furrows in anger, same difference--and takes a step forward.]

There are only two people still alive who I should be able to sense from halfway across town, and neither of them are you, so you've got thirty seconds to tell me how you're related to the Joestars.

[Now she's fully human to start with, has dried off, and she looks vaguely more settled than one might expect a thirteen-year-old who has randomly appeared in a completely different world to. To be fair, this isn't exactly the strangest thing she's ever seen.

Sadie sits perched precariously on a fence post, holding onto a staff with an eagle's head carved at the end. Apropos of nothing, she points directly at you with the staff and clears her throat.]

A tengu is a nature spirit or a demon! It usually changes in whatever stories it appears in, but the crow tengu looks like a human with wings... Like you! Though maybe with less wings...

[She edges a little closer, her eyes are all round and have that gleam small children get when they want to touch a store display or a priceless artifact.]

[ Selina's a people watcher, it's just how she is. Stay observant, stay on guard, and try to get a read on everyone around you. Stay safe. Chroma isn't exactly filled with the kind of freaks and weirdos that inhabit Gotham, but she can't help but catalog the residents here. This girl is either new or she's stayed otherwise very well hidden.

She offers the girl a sympathetic smile as she lowers herself onto the ground, kneeling so they're a bit closer to eye level. ]

I came through the same way you did a few months back. Not a very pleasant way to wake up, is it?

[ The girl is quiet and Selina assumes she's just shy, but she gets it. A lot of the kids that came through the various foster homes were the same way. ]
