Welcome to Awash's tenth event log, and the intro log for this month, everyone! All new characters have found themselves waking in the well in the middle of the Town. Hopefully they can get a hand out! For more information, please go here! | |
t's pretty dark and miserable down in the well. The cavernous area feels much larger than a well should be, bodies milling about in the darkness and knee deep, frigid water. So you're here -- and you're not alone, and the only way out appears to be the thin circle of sunlight from above, the opening of the well.

[Either way... Minato shakes his head, rubbing the back of his neck a little ruefully in response.]
It's okay. It just took me off-guard...
[He wavers between asking him not to tell anyone and feeling like that's a not entirely fair burden to put on his shoulders, and finally just sighs.]
I was aware of it, and I'm not bothered by it. Honest.

[Unfortunately speaking from experience, there. He's made an effort, but it's the kind of topic that never goes over well.
With that out of the way, he starts trying to dry off his hair-- he's a bit muffled as the towel falls over his face.]
I won't bring it up to anyone else unless you want me to, either. It's your business, y'know?

[-is that weird? He pauses, frowning slightly, teeth catching on his lower lip as he worries idly at it for a moment.]
I mean, not to be, you know. Too extra about it or anything. Just- normal people don't usually believe the whole medium thing? Not that people who aren't normal always do, but... better chances and all.

Yeah, you're right. You don't have to worry about being seen as odd here--almost everyone here has some sort of strange powers or backstory.

[He hums thoughtfully under his breath, there. It's still a strange concept, but at least he's used enough to weird things.]
I can't say I'm thrilled about it, exactly, but it might be a decent change of pace anyway.

I don't know of many people who are super thrilled about the situation.

Not that all fae are like that! One of the ones I talked to was pretty decent, once you got used to... well, they have particular ways they operate, you just have to get used to them in general.

Well... the "pretty bad" stories are what you can kind of expect from this place, some of the time.
Though I guess some of them might be pretty decent too...? It's best not to count on that here.
