[The great thing about being a red is that she is the requirement for this quest. And, okay so honey has no taste yet but it will sooner or later and she intends to stock up on it! So if she even remotely recognizes you (or maybe even if she doesn't), she'll be coming up to you, bright and beaming.]

2: This is not actually waterbending

[She's out by the shore (it's become habit at this point to come here at least twice a week...though her usual training partner was no longer here) this time. If anyone comes by, they'll see a thick stream of water making a figure eight in the air.

It looks like it's moving itself, almost, the only indication that Kaoru has anything to do with it is the way she's holding her arms out towards it with a frown of concentration on her face.

Then the water wobbles suddenly before...]

Crap!

[...and the water suddenly falls to the ground. Hopefully it isn't on top of you when that happened.]

Okay. Have you met any of the mutant bees yet?

No. But I bet they'll breathe fire.

[Because that seems to be how things go for her on these quests. Fire breathing geese, fire breathing invisible sheep, and the chimera definitely breathed fire too.

She doesn't sound worried though.]

But I know we can take them!

Does everything have to breathe fire? Can't it be something else for once?

[He's just getting tired of fire. They could be giant bees with giant drills. He'd take that.]

[That sounds less like 'fairytale' material and more like alien bees from the sort of scifi movie where almost the entire cast dies...

She nods and pumps her fist in the air.]

[Now that she's all excited about it, her hair started moving as if there was a shoujo breeze. It's like hair twirling, except without fingers involved.]

[She floats over and reaches out to brush off Maribelle's shoulder like that would...actually do anything.]

Perhaps, next time... You can look around, before you start doing... these things.

[She says through clenched teeth. Look, she really DOESN'T want to snap at dear karou!!!]

[She laughs sheepishly.]

[Okay brushing off her shoulder is clearly not doing anything so she presses her hands together, holding them infront of her.]

[Ooh, it's Kaoru! Okuni likes Kaoru and she likes any kind of quest that involves mutant animals and stealing, so it only makes sense to drop whatever she's doing (which is nothing, she was just walking around in complete boredom) and agree to this Adventure.]

I don't mind! How much honey do you want to steal?

[She holds her arms out to the side as if to indicate how very much she intended to steal. Though maybe 'as much as we can carry' isn't a wise metric to use when Kaoru can throw tanks with her powers.]

[YEAH KAORU??? Okuni squints at her because she remembers Kaoru carrying both herself and Okuni while flying???]

Is there even a limit to how much you can carry?

There is! Especially if we need to bring the honey back.

[Instead of just standing around with it.]

But I could probably carry enough to cover someone's house with it. [Probably? How heavy is honey anyway?

[Minato was honestly just out and about for a walk; it's always nice for him to be able to just take a breath from town shenanigans.

With a display of almost surprising Ninja-like reflexes, before that water dumps on his head he...

...whips his headphones and mp3 player off his neck and off to one side so they don't get drenched.

The rest of him, however, definitely does, as he blinks blearily from beneath sodden bangs.]

[She would be laughing if she were less embarrassed right now...and really she was embarrassed enough about what happened in the forest. She does catch the mp3 player and headphones with her powers so it doesn't hit anything when they're thrown though.]

I'm sorry! [She floated over and her hands hovered like she was trying to figure out what she can do to help.] Um. I'm not very good with liquids...?

[Oh thank god. He looks thoroughly relieved when he realizes that she's caught his belongings, breathing out a faint sigh of relief.]

It's... okay. No harm done.

[She pulls his things back over and catches it in her own hand.]

Yeah, it's not like we could go to the store to buy a new one here.

Closed to Rin

[It was a bit nostalgic, going off with Rin to fight some kind of fairytale creature in the forest.

Except this time she didn't kidnap him from his home to go on an adventure. Though maybe she should do that next time, for old times sake.]

I've never fought fairies before.

I thought fairies were supposed to be like... good. Why're we fightin' them?

[Asking gets a much calmer reaction than kidnapping.

It doesn't leave him any less confused, though. Harpies, he understood, but his knowledge of fairies was limited to Disney movies and fairy tales that didn't involve death and torture.

Have you met anything good in the forest?

[Because she sure as hell hasn't. Even the sheep breathed fire at me and Shiho.]

But if they don't attack us I don't mind just leaving them alone.

[They pretty much failed the harpy quest and nothing bad had happened, after all.]

[Well that's a pretty direct way to invite someone to do a quest with you. Riku was just on his way back to Ruga from the gardens in Flavo when Kaoru nearly appeared out of nowhere.]

Uh, hey. You mean go after the bees on that quest?

[The only way she could have been more direct was to outright kidnap him...which she had done on her first quest with Rin, actually.]

Yeah! If we get the colour of honey back it'd be nice to have some on hand, right?

[....Please don't kidnap him. That will 100% guaranteed not go well with him.

And it really is so weird how the food here works. Restore a colour, get a random box filled with food. Restoring honey is tempting...]

Yeah. Can't complain about getting more food for everyone. Guess I'll go in.

[ zelda is outside at the moment, reading one of the fairytales underneath a shady tree. she's rather bored honestly, most of her chores done for the day, so when kaoru comes up it's a bit of a relief. this story about dwarves is... boring, to put it nicely. ]

Certainly, Kaoru. [ the book is shut and quickly forgotten - not literally, she just puts the book away into her tote bag. ] Though do you know how to collect honey properly?

[ zelda knows a little bit about it, but she's only done it a few times... and got stung most all those times. ]

She really doesn't understand how anyone could spend so much of their time reading here when the material can get...repetitive really fast. But to each there own.

She looks confused, then sheepish.]
