[The great thing about being a red is that she is the requirement for this quest. And, okay so honey has no taste yet but it will sooner or later and she intends to stock up on it! So if she even remotely recognizes you (or maybe even if she doesn't), she'll be coming up to you, bright and beaming.]

2: This is not actually waterbending

[She's out by the shore (it's become habit at this point to come here at least twice a week...though her usual training partner was no longer here) this time. If anyone comes by, they'll see a thick stream of water making a figure eight in the air.

It looks like it's moving itself, almost, the only indication that Kaoru has anything to do with it is the way she's holding her arms out towards it with a frown of concentration on her face.

Then the water wobbles suddenly before...]

Crap!

[...and the water suddenly falls to the ground. Hopefully it isn't on top of you when that happened.]

I thought fairies were supposed to be like... good. Why're we fightin' them?

[Asking gets a much calmer reaction than kidnapping.

It doesn't leave him any less confused, though. Harpies, he understood, but his knowledge of fairies was limited to Disney movies and fairy tales that didn't involve death and torture.

Have you met anything good in the forest?

[Because she sure as hell hasn't. Even the sheep breathed fire at me and Shiho.]

But if they don't attack us I don't mind just leaving them alone.

[They pretty much failed the harpy quest and nothing bad had happened, after all.]

[Spider demon lady. Spider demon lady. That whole incident had been such a nightmare.

I mean, yeah, but I thought we were supposed to be completin' these things? Like, don't we get shit for doin' that?

But there's no guarrantee it'd be something good, right? If the fairies really aren't bothering anyone I'd rather not fight them.

[But if not she'd gladly kick their ass.]

...I hope we get food for this.

[Rin isn't sure either way. Quest says to fight them, quests give things, but if they're not doing anything wrong...]

You do! [Is she laughing at him? A little bit.] But having more ingredients would be good, right? And if we complete this quest together we'll get twice the amount of ingredients!

...I just hope it isn't mushrooms again.

[Because she and Shiho each got a box of them last month and she was Done with mushrooms.]

... I'm getting harpy flashbacks for some reason.

[They didn't have to wander around as much with that mission, but damned if it didn't end horribly for both of them.]

[Rin's ear twitches in the direction of the noise, head perking up as his hand tightens on the sheath of his sword.]

... did you hear that?

Yeah. Sounds like it was coming from over there.

[She points then moves towards the sound and, hey. Seems like it's getting louder.]

Sounds like it's coming from behind those bushes.

... I think they're mockin' us.

[Which makes Rin all the more willing to tear in to those damn fairies.]
