[The great thing about being a red is that she is the requirement for this quest. And, okay so honey has no taste yet but it will sooner or later and she intends to stock up on it! So if she even remotely recognizes you (or maybe even if she doesn't), she'll be coming up to you, bright and beaming.]

[She's out by the shore (it's become habit at this point to come here at least twice a week...though her usual training partner was no longer here) this time. If anyone comes by, they'll see a thick stream of water making a figure eight in the air.

It looks like it's moving itself, almost, the only indication that Kaoru has anything to do with it is the way she's holding her arms out towards it with a frown of concentration on her face.

Then the water wobbles suddenly before...]

[...and the water suddenly falls to the ground. Hopefully it isn't on top of you when that happened.]

[She would be laughing if she were less embarrassed right now...and really she was embarrassed enough about what happened in the forest. She does catch the mp3 player and headphones with her powers so it doesn't hit anything when they're thrown though.]

I'm sorry! [She floated over and her hands hovered like she was trying to figure out what she can do to help.] Um. I'm not very good with liquids...?

[Oh thank god. He looks thoroughly relieved when he realizes that she's caught his belongings, breathing out a faint sigh of relief.]

[She pulls his things back over and catches it in her own hand.]

[Because she wasn't able to get anything fun with hers.]

Well, I need to keep up my training here and I got pretty bored of threading needles.

[That, and she'd gotten into the habit, training with Kirishima and it felt...weird. Not keeping up with it.]

Wouldn't it...? How did we get it the first time again?

[DID THEY DO SOMETHING SPECIAL... all of the months and quests are starting to blend together in his head.]

I can! It's part of my usual training, for working on fine control.

But that’s a lot more delicate than I was expecting, somehow… you’ve got a pretty amazing range, Kaoru-san.

I was pretty bad at it as a kid...throwing a car was a lot easier.

Midoriya-kun, probably... I've been keeping track of how long we've been here, but not exactly when I got rewards. Maybe I should start, though.

... Somehow, Kaoru-san, I could really see that being the case. You're really strong, right? Like Sannomiya-san is. [With their own particular powers.]

I've given up on trying to keep track of how long we've been here. We really need some kind of calendar.

[Another thing she didn't think to miss until it was gone.]

I'll take that as a compliment. [And not an implication that she's violent or unladylike or anything like that.] Yeah. Shiho and I are both Level 7. But I always thought Shiho and Aoi's powers were cooler than mine.

It was definitely a compliment.

[It's not hard to tell him simply because Shiho trusts him and anyone that has earned Shiho's trust automatically has hers as well.]

My powers are pretty amazing but I guess...I've always been scared of it too. Since I can hurt people around me without meaning to if I lose control.

[It's better than when she was five but...it's still there. She knows it's not easy for Shiho and Aoi either, that they have their own problems they needed to deal with but even so...]

And they're both just so cool! I don't think I've ever won against Shiho at any kind of game.!

[She just loves her friends so much...way more than she loves herself at any rate.]

Oh... I see.

[He could absolutely understand how that sort of fear could exist, with how strong she is. She'd just have to lose control, right?]

That must be a lot of pressure... but even so, I can't say I'm really that worried about something like that happening.

[Kaoru can thread a needle with her power. She's out here practicing this hard, day by day...

Someone that devoted won't mess up like that. He's sure of that.]

[It's still a bit strange now, after so many years for someone to just...believe in her like that. She's not sure how much she deserves it, but she hopes she never disappoints him.]

But you're a menace, you know that? [She's kidding! Mostly.] Exactly the sort of person Shiho can't defend against.

God, he's never heard that one before, and he blinks, a little flummoxed.]

[Shiho in particular...? He's not sure what to think of that, honestly. (An oblivious loser, this one.)]

[She nods sagely.] Definitely. Shiho's always been weak against people who are earnest and mean the nice things they say.

I'm... not doing it on purpose. [He is innocent!! Probably.] Though I guess... I just feel like it's nice when she's able to smile sincerely.

[Shiho is very cute when she smiles properly.]

You're a good friend to her, Kaoru-san... I'm glad we could become friends too. She has such good things to say about you... it's obvious she loves you a lot.
