A. Early Afternoon
[Shouto's out and about, looking through a few of the houses that are close to the well and currently unoccupied. He's clearly out here for some reason or another.

It takes him an hour or two, but eventually he's secured the house, and starts taking the furniture and such out. There's some broken shelves, a bedframe, a few chairs, etc.

Then he puts his right hand on the house. In just a few seconds the entire thing is iced over. If anybody is looking at him, a puff of cool air escapes him.]

B. Late Afternoon

[Are you out on the town for any reason? Shouto's just sitting on the lip of the well for now. Since he made something useful, he should probably... tell people about it.]

There's an icebox in town now. You can keep whatever might spoil in there.

[Why is Okuyasu heading toward the well? Because he's a little obsessed with it, frankly, and maybe today he's trying to do something else with it that's dangerous and ill-advised, but his dear bro Peppermint sitting there is unexpected.

He listens, and turns halfway to look off in... a direction like he can pinpoint an icebox just from hearing about it. Hmm.]

What, for real? You could've been faster and we could've had chicken nuggets.

[Priorities.]

[That's not even the correct direction. Shouto'll point in the right one. If Okuyasu goes that way, the completely iced over house should make it plenty obvious what he was talking about.]

I was busy with other stuff.

... We had chicken nuggets?

[He will find the house... later. He might even get his tongue stuck for a classic gag, it depends.]

We could've if you were faster about making your ice place. Y'know, when people's houses and shit were showing up? Could've brought some back.

[glaciers]

I got distracted by our cat. Deku's sweet, but a handful.

[Shouto absolutely did name the housecat after his boyfriend.]

At least it's there now. If you find some kind of edible meat or something.

[ Well, someone taking furniture out of a house like that is something to wonder about. He's trying to be inconspicuous about watching (by taking a long walk and passing by every so often-- brilliant, Honebami). He comes around at just the right time though, as Shouto ices over the whole house with no time to spare. ]

Brr...

[ Honebami prefers cold to heat, but that's still a bit of a surprise to feel bit of a wintry chill. ]

You did that?

[ Turn an abandoned house into a giant ice cube, he means. ]

[glaciers]

[It's not like Shouto is paying all that much attention to whoever or whatever happens to be around when he's fully focused on a task like this. As long as he's not being stopped, he just continues on in his mission to make an ice house.

He looks at the stranger and nods.]

I figured a freezer would be useful. Even if it's a makeshift one.

[osteotome]

[ Honebami nods. ]

It would be. Someone taught me to cherish my favorite food when it was here and had color. I wish I had it to save...

[ His family-sized bento... RIP. Never mind that though. He's looking up in awe, approaching the new fridge. He has gloves, it's kind of okay. ]

Thank you though. You won't get get tired or sick from doing that, right? Humans don't do well when it's cold enough to make ice.

Sorry, it took me a while to get around to doing this. What's your favorite food? Maybe somebody can make it.

[He sure has been around for a while before doing this. It probably would've been better to get it done quickly and then come by to keep it frozen.

Oh well, it's here now.

Shouto shakes his head at the question.]

I won't. This isn't overworking my power and can heat myself back up easily.

[Akira is here to draw some water from the well, but he stops when he sees Shouto sitting there. It's good to see he seems alright, after the siren hubbub.

He stops at this information, though.]

Where'd it come from?

[He assumes Shouto made it, but...]

[Shouto looks over at him for a moment and stares. How... how many other people can make that much ice around these parts? He thought it would be plenty obvious now that he's sitting here and informing the public.]

Me.

[Yusuke could have. Maybe Akira could if he felt like putting that much energy into it.

But that aside.]

Thanks. That's really helpful.

[glaciers]

[Shouto has no idea about these people's abilities.]

You're welcome. I figured it would be a good idea to have somewhere cold to store stuff.

[Ginko just so happens to be walking by when Shouto's icing over that house, and he stops in his tracks as he watches the ice rapidly spread from the teen's hand.]

That was incredible. Have you always been able to do that?

[glaciers]

[Shouto turns to the new voice, taking a few steps away from the house before lighting his left half on fire.

He speaks like there's nothing strange happening here at all.]

Since I was little. It's my quirk. [It feels so satisfying to say it's his. That's one simple truth that had been difficult for him to grasp.]

Ginko's so startled he nearly falls backward when Shouto literally lights himself on fire.]

What did you--

[The alarm in his voice eases up when he realizes that actually, nothing bad is happening. Somehow the flames are burning without harming his body??? Very cautiously, Ginko tries to bring his hand about as close as one would to a campfire to see if it feels warm. He has? So many questions??

But to start...]

...What's a Quirk?

[glaciers]

[Oh. He forgets that it's not a totally normal thing for most people. But this guy seems to have recovered well enough. Interestingly, the jumpsuit Shouto's wearing doesn't seem to burn up either.

Ginko's hand near the fire is as warm as anybody would expect a fire to be. It's like a normal one, except Shouto started it with apparently nothing.]

It's like a superpower.

b-ish wildcard

[When Shouto comes to sit on the well, Damian is already there sitting on the opposite side facing Flavo. Beside him, looking like a loaf of bread with feet tucked under, is a tuxedo cat. Said cat offers a chirrup of acknowledgement at Shouto, but Damian doesn't turn around.

His shoulders move gently, and by that, it's apparent his arms must be moving too. If Shouto comes around enough to see, Damian has a book-sized journal propped on his lap. The journal looks very hand-made, cutely ugly: cloth stuffed with thin wood for structure, coarse paper pages long-stitched and bound to the cloth spine.

The page isn't covered with words. Instead, there's a picture spilling black-and-white, charcoal, across the page. It's surprisingly very good, detailed, realistic, the scene directly in front of Flavo and the looming darkness of forest in the distance.]

You're behind the creation of the ice house.

[It isn't a question.]

[glaciers]

[Shouto doesn't particularly mind that there's somebody on the well. He does take the moment to look the cat over, it's a lot less fluffy than Deku, but it's a good looking cat. Maybe a little more polite than Damian too.

Speaking of Damian, he'll look at the journal. He wasn't really expecting this kid to be an artist, but hidden depths and all that. For a moment he wonders if it's more than just a hobby but he gets distracted by the statement.

It's not like it was a secret, and it's not like Shouto was particularly subtle about making the thing.]

You're right.

I saw you making it. [Even when Shouto comes over, he doesn't glance up. Most of his fingers are grimey with charcoal, and he pauses here and there to rub some of the lines smooth, to shadow or contour until he's satisfied.

Pennyworth, on the other hand, rises into a slow, stretching arch. He snakes precariously around Damian's back along the lip of the well mouth and wanders toward Shouto without any worry. Then he has a sit, unfurling the tail inside the edge of the well, unbothered by the long drop to the watery bottom. Cats. He waits for Shouto to give him some attention.]

I put some meat that hadn't been cured inside it. [Finally, he stops drawing and looks up.] Do you have to expend energy to keep it up?

Quest 26

[glaciers]

[Shouto's been mulling over the quest list. "Ruin somebody's day"? He can't do that as a hero student. That's something villains do. He's not a red and neither is Izuku, so they can't do that unless they get somebody else to go along with their plans. It wouldn't be hard, but he kind of just wants to spend time with Izuku. Even if it's during something dangerous.

It's breakfast when he turns to Izuku.]

Wanna defeat some fairies?

[inheritance]

[Shouto's question doesn't catch him off guard, not when he's been thinking about the quests as well.]

Sure! [Questing with Shouto is always welcome, when he knows he'll have Izuku's back.] I wonder if it has something to do with the pit quest from last time. They were watching us all fight each other.

[glaciers]

[He tilts his head as he considers this.]

Like revenge? [And then he stares down Izuku.] You're the least vengeful person I know.
