What.
This is--]
Kyrie-san...?
[... (In a minute, he'll remember the pendants and what he's been told. Right now, seeing Kyrie being so nice is throwing him for a major loop.)]

Looks like it's nothing near so fancy as a shiny new car or a set of granite countertops, but here's hoping the novelty of getting to meet the sweet scarecrow Caramia had described some time ago is worth the trouble. Kyrie, on the other hand, hasn't... actually realized anything has changed. Or, more accurately, he can't recall ever acting any other way. Whoops?
"Hm?" He'd been responding so well before!! Is Minato just surprised he's here...? That must be it. Maybe he didn't see him when they were all going into the forest before, or... oh. "Ah, I'm sorry... I must not have said hello."
Yeah, that's probably it. He smiles through the apology anyway, focused more so on the fact that Minato doesn't look so down anymore. Shock is at least a good margin better than sadness.

Ah... quietly, more to himself than anything:]
Is that how it is...?
[He thinks he gets it now, startling as that initial impression was. Quietly, he clears his throat--if Caramia is gone, then Kyrie's pendant...]
... Sorry, I was just... um, a little surprised by something. It's good to see you safe and sound though. Really, it is.

"I'm glad to see you, too." His expression softens, because he really does mean it. "It would have been awful if even you had disappeared..."
But he's still smiling! He's still determined! Fight him, Chroma!!
"You weren't hurt at all, were you? In the forest?"

So nothing to fuss Kyrie over.]
Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Kyrie-san.
[A beat, and:]
What about you? You went in too, right?

But Kyrie just shakes his head, blissfully unaware that his son is a Big Liar, and hums a soft negative.
"I'm alright!" As alright as anyone can be after all that, anyway. "It was sort of crazy in there... But, I don't think I really helped much."
He laughs once, lifting a hand to the back of his neck. He's mostly just glad to have all his senses working as they should again, and that he avoided being set on fire, thanks.
"I can't remember directions very well, so I would have gotten lost on my own. And I'm not as strong as Mr. Lion, so I can't really fight, either."

Are you sure you're okay? That sounds... like it was a little dangerous after all.
[He's concerned!!]
no subject
"Oh, I don't mind if it's dangerous!" Which... isn't really answering the question that was asked, but he certainly looks fine, so?? Hey. Don't worry about it I guess. "I don't want anyone to get hurt, but... I do want to help. So, as long as there's something someone like me can do, I'll do anything. I can't stand to see everyone here so upset."
Even if he isn't always sure how to help, he likes to be useful.

Is that right...
[That is like the opposite of everything he's ever heard from Kyrie, so this still feels like he's accidentally stepped into the Twilight Zone somehow, but thanks.]
I'm sure you were a big help out there, Kyrie-san. Even if we haven't found them yet...we're all doing our best. We'll definitely find them together.
