t's a dark night, and the sounds of feet in the darkness are further dampened and hidden by even more magic, as they are lured away by the soft sounds of dreams that are too good to be true, leaving the Town much, much emptier than when it began. On one side, an island, and a ticking clock to a gruesome death. On the other, the slow realization that those bonds everyone has been forging might mean much, much more than they first thought. Hm! Well, he definitely still has no idea what might have startled him, but if Minato isn't worried about it, then why should Kyrie be? There are about a dozen more important things here.

"I'm glad to see you, too." His expression softens, because he really does mean it. "It would have been awful if even you had disappeared..."

But he's still smiling! He's still determined! Fight him, Chroma!!

"You weren't hurt at all, were you? In the forest?"

[messianic]

[...Well. He was, but, you know, it's fine. Nothing that couldn't be healed.

So nothing to fuss Kyrie over.]

Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, Kyrie-san.

[A beat, and:]

What about you? You went in too, right?

[crowsigliere]

Minato, no...! Be more careful!!

But Kyrie just shakes his head, blissfully unaware that his son is a Big Liar, and hums a soft negative.

"I'm alright!" As alright as anyone can be after all that, anyway. "It was sort of crazy in there... But, I don't think I really helped much."

He laughs once, lifting a hand to the back of his neck. He's mostly just glad to have all his senses working as they should again, and that he avoided being set on fire, thanks.

"I can't remember directions very well, so I would have gotten lost on my own. And I'm not as strong as Mr. Lion, so I can't really fight, either."

[messianic]

[He sucks at being careful, sorry, Kyrie. Also, hearing Kyrie being this self-deprecating and uncertain feels...very wrong.]

Are you sure you're okay? That sounds... like it was a little dangerous after all.

[He's concerned!!]

Look!! It's fine!! And besides, can anyone really ever be 'okay' in a place like this?

"Oh, I don't mind if it's dangerous!" Which... isn't really answering the question that was asked, but he certainly looks fine, so?? Hey. Don't worry about it I guess. "I don't want anyone to get hurt, but... I do want to help. So, as long as there's something someone like me can do, I'll do anything. I can't stand to see everyone here so upset."

Even if he isn't always sure how to help, he likes to be useful.

[That doesn't!! Answer the question at all!! But you know, it's fine... Minato tucks that into the back of his head, but otherwise bites his tongue about it.]

Is that right...

[That is like the opposite of everything he's ever heard from Kyrie, so this still feels like he's accidentally stepped into the Twilight Zone somehow, but thanks.]

I'm sure you were a big help out there, Kyrie-san. Even if we haven't found them yet...we're all doing our best. We'll definitely find them together.
