[The punch gives him a brief reprieve and he's trying to move again. He's not fast enough as the ice catches his leg and grounds him for a moment. With a frustrated grunt, he soars and tries to fly to break free. He's stuck though and instead he has to use his hand to try and whittle the ice down. He's working as fast as he can, but as he goes he breaks chunks of ice to throw at Shouto quickly. Hope you're good at dodging dude!]

[He would switch to his fire to try and melt the ice. But switching back and forth is still taxing so instead he just throws a low wall, trying to block most of the shards without impeding his movement too much.

It doesn't block all of it though, and he certainly looks bruised and battered.]

[windeity]

[His leg's still frozen and he struggles, pulling and breaking ice to fling in a little whirlwind. A bruised and battered Shouto isn't his favorite look, but it's a look and he works his way out of the ice.

It takes time but he pulls himself out, ignoring how cold and numb his leg is as he throws another block of ice and zooms forward with a burst of speed, hand up to throw a punch straight over the wall and into Shouto's gut if he can to knock him on his back.]

[Between switching back and forth with his powers and how much hypothetical MP he's been draining, he doesn't get out of the way in time. John hits him dead on. Shouto stumbles back and falls.

He's knocked out.]

[windeity]

[Shouto's knocked out and the crowd goes wild. Before John can find a way to shut them up though they're warped out of the pit and back into the woods, pretty much dumped right back where they were. John's immediately crawling over to Shouto and shaking his shoulders like that'll help.]

Dude. Duuude...can you hear me?

[glaciers]

[He groans as he's shaken.]

Ugh... Stop shaking me.

Oh hey, you're awake! [He drops Shouto's shoulders.] Are you okay?

[glaciers]

I'm just bruised. It's nothing some rest won't fix.

[windeity]

Yeah, sorry about that...I wasn't sure how else to actually knock you out without my hammer. But good match! Let's never do that again?

[glaciers]

What? Why? Nobody got permanently injured there.

[Shouto is maybe not as willing to break his whole body as his boyfriend...but he's still perfectly willing to duke it out with his friends.

That's how bonding works, right? Fights and looking at each other's rooms?]

I'm not sure that should be our baseline for things to do together, dude. [He's laughing though.] But we could pick up sparring again for fun in case we get stuck without weapons. I still have a lot to teach you about humor and comedy, too.

[glaciers]

It's a normal baseline. [This may or may not be a joke.]

... I would like to know more about comedy.

For this place? You're probably right. [There's a grin.] Let's save the lessons after a rest day. The pit was definitely not a joke.

[glaciers]

[Now Shouto's eyeing John.]

... Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm okay. [A little unsure, but okay.] My leg is still freezing but I am pretty sure that will wear off later.

[glaciers]

How cold are they? I could warm them up.

[windeity]

This doesn't involve lighting my legs on fire, does it?

[glaciers]

No. I can just warm up my left hand.

[windeity]

Oh. Uh, sure, if you don't mind? Just so that it is less stiff while moving around so we can get back. [Walking or flying on a bum leg sounds like a recipe for disaster.]

[glaciers]

[With his permission, Shouto doesn't feel as weird grabbing John's leg and heating up his left hand. It doesn't burn, but it's definitely warmer than any normal person's hand should be.]

...thanks Shouto. Do you ever get burned out from using your quirk so much?

[glaciers]

No. I don't use my fire half that much. [Was this even a joke.]

... I can get frozen.

[windeity]

[It was maybe a play on words.] Why not? And I mean, I guess that makes sense that ice can still freeze an ice user. I think I am the only one of us who can use an actual natural element...unless space counts.

[glaciers]

Because we're in the forest a lot and I don't want to burn it down. I can offset the cold with my fire.

... How does somebody control space?

[windeity]

Okay, when you put it that way now I feel dumb for asking. [He shrugs though.] You'd have to ask my sister. Space is her aspect, but she also has witch-y powers that help I guess. She can shrink and expand objects and teleport and stuff.
