Oh. Uh, sure, if you don't mind? Just so that it is less stiff while moving around so we can get back. [Walking or flying on a bum leg sounds like a recipe for disaster.]

[With his permission, Shouto doesn't feel as weird grabbing John's leg and heating up his left hand. It doesn't burn, but it's definitely warmer than any normal person's hand should be.]

...thanks Shouto. Do you ever get burned out from using your quirk so much?

[glaciers]

No. I don't use my fire half that much. [Was this even a joke.]

... I can get frozen.

[windeity]

[It was maybe a play on words.] Why not? And I mean, I guess that makes sense that ice can still freeze an ice user. I think I am the only one of us who can use an actual natural element...unless space counts.

[glaciers]

Because we're in the forest a lot and I don't want to burn it down. I can offset the cold with my fire.

... How does somebody control space?

[windeity]

Okay, when you put it that way now I feel dumb for asking. [He shrugs though.] You'd have to ask my sister. Space is her aspect, but she also has witch-y powers that help I guess. She can shrink and expand objects and teleport and stuff.

[glaciers]

I didn't know teleportation would be part of space. Sounds pretty useful for getting places.

... You have a sister?

[windeity]

See, that is where I am not sure if that's a space thing, a witch thing, or a Jade thing. It could be all of the above. [...but oh.] But yes, I do. She is obviously not here and I did not know she was my sister for, like, thirteen years, but we are. It's kind of complicated but that is the easiest way to explain it.

[glaciers]

... Is Jade magic on her own? [At this point, Shouto's willing to believe anything about all these Homestucks. Nothing about their world made any sense to him.

So he'll just accept that they didn't know they were siblings.

He pulls his hand away.]

How's your leg feeling?

[windeity]

It's a lot better, thanks. I think I can walk on it just fine when we get back. [Shouto's helpful and John appreciates that. John also maybe appreciates that Shouto also is confused about Homestuck because goddamn. As such, he's standing up and gesturing for Shouto to follow out of the woods.]

Jade might be magic on her own. None of us had powers or anything but her dream self woke up first and so she got to see a lot in the clouds on Skaia that told her everything. Or something like that.

[glaciers]

[He gives a solid nod. That's good enough for now but-] You should still have somebody check on it once we get back. Frostbite can cause serious damage.

Oh... future sight? There was a pro hero that had something like that. I never talked to him myself.

[windeity]

Did something happen to him? [Shouto says "was" and he wonders if maybe having visions of the future went poorly.] And don't worry, I'll have Dave look. He's good at that kind of stuff, I think.

[glaciers]

I wasn't there for it. [But news travels fast in the hero circles.

Shouto tilts his head as he considers this.] He's... good with frostbite?

[windeity]

He's good at being paranoid and fixing injuries I have. [Eventually he'll learn it's because Dave is invested and also dokis are involved, but whatever.] If anybody would know, it'd be him.

[glaciers]

It's good to have somebody like that to rely on. [Shouto would understand dokis.]

[windeity]

Well, when you've been friends with someone for six years it gets weird not relying on them. [Back to the town they go.] That is all I can ask for.
