Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring.
The old man is snoring.
He bumped his head and went to bed
And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light.

It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb.

The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun.

But most importantly of all... you're not alone.

Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time.

Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways.

I don't know if you'd believe me if I told you, but I guess here goes nothing..
Back home we have a dream self that I suppose serves as an extra life in the off-chances something happens. If your first body dies, you can be resurrected by another person easily.. erg.. your dream self will replace your old body..

Another person can revive without the doings of magic or witchcraft or anything.. in fact, bringing them back to life is very simple..

[ and sure enough zelda makes her way to just outside the forest area from her home in bluo. in her hand is a small cutting knife, more suitable for food preparation, located in her home. it's her first time making arrows but she hopes it will lead to some success, and a quest complete. no wish is granted just by hopeful thought alone... or prayer. ]

[ How was she supposed to keep them dry?? There's no way. Maybe some of the ones sandwiched in the middle or closer to the bottom of the pile are more salvageable, but they're all various degrees of damp to dripping wet.

Mafuyu tries, but she sure is bad at listening, because she holds onto that rope, winds it twice around her wrist, and just stands there as the next person starts climbing up, unaware of the change in personnel. ]

I found plenty of houses that are empty— I left the doors open so people can go there and drip dry! You're right though; there's barely any food anyways.

[ Is that why she took so long ]

[Show some respect to Mr. Frog, his new pet. At least it's not a cat plant?! Anyway, he sighs, totally despairing.]

[Shiho only breathes easily again once she sees Mafuyu has stopped coughing.]

[Well, truthfully he's only half-Japanese and the last name came from an orphanage anyway. Who knows... maybe Mikaela isn't even his first name? It could have been a suggestion or given to him by someone besides his parents - he doesn't quite know yet.

I only know what I've seen in battle and when one possesses someone. [Though that one was chained so it couldn't use its powers.]

No, it isn't. Though unless someone wants to tempt swimming in pitch black water, the forest might be our way out. [At least then they'll have feet under them if something appears.]

Right after she takes that breath to continue, he actually turns on his heel and starts walking away from her. The expression on his face just before is one where he's clearly thinking she's annoying.]

[ Now that she's out of the well and isn't entirely fixated on the bright orange death trap fruit, she gets a good look at the rest of the place and it just seems so wrong, like all the colors have been washed out. ]

Is it 'cause it's raining? I've never seen any place this dreary when it's raining.

But Josuke seems really cool so far! Sora nods along with the same sort of displeasure at no edible food.]

That's a long story.

[It spans five whole seasons . . . no, he'll wait until they're snowed in or something to tell that story. It's not a secret, but it's also a huge long Thing that he doesn't really feel up to recounting right now.

[He had gone on about that, and he knows it's cold and Damian is small and that plus the fact that he just woke up kidnapped in a well is a lot to deal with.]

There are a small handful of people who have disappeared, though. We're still looking into that.

[How does someone just walk away from a conversation or argument? Sora's not very good at ignoring people.]

Uhh... [He sheepishly laughs.] Okay, I'll try.

[The act had been rude but that doesn't particularly bug Mika. He hadn't struck out in violence, merely lashing out with words (despite knowing how cruel words can be) while moving away.

Mika isn't here to become buddies with everyone, though that doesn't mean he's out to hurt them either. When the other joins at his side there's only a flicker of a glance but no protest otherwise. Instead he's focused on their surroundings and the house they're heading towards. When he can detect no sign of this being a trap, he follows Caramia into the colored house through the held door.

Once inside, he stands there in an open space. His gaze moves around the structure curiously, taking in the state of it even if his host claims the floors and stairs are safe. Mika feels more at ease here - the state of the interior of the house is much like many of the buildinds in Japan.

Caramia talking about not wanting to overwhelm him about what lurks in the forest is amusing.]

My world is filled with a variety of monsters, most of humanity has died because of a virus and humans use demons trapped in weapons to fight a war against vampires. Nothing about this world could overwhelm me.

Ah, [ We he certainly doesn't want to lie to her, but telling her about all the things they've found thus far might be a bit... much. ] that seems to be the case here. I went out with a few others to explore, and we ran into some troll... ogre... things, but they stopped chasing us once we got back to the town.

[ Speaking of weird things in the forest, there was a small bleat that comes from another room, and Caramia slumped slightly at the sound. Please, no, not while he has company. ]

Ah, and... the creatures in the forest don't... look as they should, usually. They're a little creepy, in all honesty.

[ He tried to add before the sound of many hooves hitting the wooden floor led to this completely gray, eight-legged deer skittering out into the room with spider-like eyes to boot. He might've been creepy and weird, but he was just curious... probably. ]

[Mafuyu... And now he has to stay close in case her grip slips like he's worried it might. If she can really support the weight of people larger than her climbing up, then he won't interfere, but...]

That will have to do. [He's tossing the soaked towels to the side like little welcome mats, but passing out the semi-dry ones now, apologizing that they're not much as he goes.]
