Intro Log.

It's raining, it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He bumped his head and went to bed And he couldn't get up in the morning.

ou wake in knee-deep water, cold as ice and stagnant, in a space that is far too echoey and spacious. It feels like a massive cave, but looking up... there's only one small, circular opening that shows grey sky and shines any sort of light. It looks like a long trip upwards, a small cylinder with walls of brick that's just a little too high to reach, even when jumping. Getting out is probably going to be a bit of a task, especially considering the water is more than cold enough to make limbs go numb. The dark makes it impossible to see much further, but the space seems large, all filled with water, but with no other way out, stone walls the only thing for an intrepid explorer to find. Oh, and to make things even better, it's raining today. Water from below (though thankfully only like, knee-deep), and water from above... how fun. But most importantly of all... you're not alone. Welcome to Awash's second intro log, everyone! Please review the FAQ and rules before playing. New characters have all woken at the bottom of the well in the middle of the town (which seems a lot bigger on the inside, somehow), and it looks like they'll have to put in some work to get out. Thankfully, they have some friends on the outside, this time. Once out, they'll be free to explore the various locations the Town has to offer at will. Just try not to die on any of the far-too-rickety walkways. Please feel free to ask any questions here and don't forget to greet your fellow players here!

But Josuke seems really cool so far! Sora nods along with the same sort of displeasure at no edible food.]

What I wouldn't do for a burger or something already...

[The lack of yummy food is going to be a serious struggle.]

What are we gonna do for fun around here?

A burger ... [ He's salivating at the thought of an actual burger, colour at all, that doesn't suddenly taste like ash the moment you fail to bite into it quick enough. What a dream. ]

I'm wondering that too. No TV, no arcade, no video games ... Before I die of starvation, maybe I'll die of boredom. [ Fun is highly important to teenagers. ] I guess we gotta make our own fun? Do you do sports?

[ He doesn't say it, but Sora doesn't really look like the type. ]

[This little town is cute and all but if there's not much to do but stare at gray walls Sora might go a little crazy. Luckily, he can be pretty creative when he's bored.

And he lights right up at the idea of sports. He might be pretty short and skinny but he's a lot more athletic and strong past the first glance!]

Yeah! I like soccer or volleyball! Basketball can be pretty fun too. What about fighting and sparring? With weapons?

[He might be bouncing on his feet a little.]

Or skateboarding which I'm pretty okay at! Not as good as Roxas, but...!

[nipzips]

[ Those are all sweet, and Josuke desperately wishes he knew how to skateboard, but one isn't quite like the other ... ]

Hold on. With weapons? That's the sorta thing you do for fun back home? Sounds a little dangerous ...

[In return Sora just nods eagerly. Fortunately or not so fortunately, Sora's been playing with swords since he was like four years old.]

Uhh! Yeah! You know, practicing with swords? It's really fun! It's not dangerous if you use wooden ones, though!

[Sora likes fighting...]

[ He's not from a canon where people randomly tout swords, no. Josuke is a regular teenager from the 90s, and as far as he's concerned, people only wave swords around in the movies. Well, maybe they use the wooden ones in kendo, but he doesn't know the first thing about kendo. ]

So you're a swordsman, huh? No offense, but I wouldn't have guessed just by looking at you. [ Sora, you are small and skinny. ] So ... Are you any good? [ Because Josuke wants to learn how to swing a sword now, since he doesn't want to lose to his best bro. ]

[oathkeeper]

[It's okay New Tall Friend, Sora is pretty used to people thinking he's small. Sora just laughs and grins while pretending to punch the air with a fist.]

Better at it than you think I might be! [A spark in Sora's eyes.] If you wanna try it out sometime, I could teach you a bunch of stuff. It'll be fun!

[nipzips]

[ Aww, this guy's really cute. Small like Koichi, but he also seems really admirable. ]

Yeah, I definitely wanna try this out. My best buddy's been training with the sword recently. The last thing I wanna do is fall behind. [ In the race of who's cooler, he means. ]

It's gonna look so freaking kewl, too. [ Highly important. ]

[Sora beams even more and pats his fist against his chest.]

You can count on me, you won't be doing any falling behind. Your friend won't know what hit him. [Roommates gotta watch out for roommates, after all.]

You're pretty big, though. I bet you're super strong already. That'll help!

[nipzips]

[ Sora. He likes this guy so much already. What a good, positive guy. ]

You're embarrassing me, man. Stop ... [ Thanks for noticing his muscles. He works hard to stay beautiful. ]

I have been told I'm pretty strong. I've never actually held a weapon before though, that's why you gotta help me.

[oathkeeper]

[Super beautiful! Sora only tells the truth!]

Just saying it like it is, Josuke!

[Nodnod.] We'll have to get you a sword first, something to practice with... I wonder if there's anyone around town who can make something like that.

Nobody I know of yet. But if we find some parts lying around, I can fix them up easily.

[ With his Stand, of course!!! ]

You can fix stuff up? How?

[He's already gonna keep an eye out on stuff they might be able to use!]

It's a little hard to explain, so I can just show you if you want. Do you have a little cut or bruise or something? Or something broken up?

[ Most people might be more apprehensive about showing off their powers, but Josuke's not really a paranoid person. He's cautious when the other person looks shady, though. Sora ... does not. ]

Umm!

[Sora does lift up his arm where he's got a little cut and bruise on his elbow from climbing out of that giant well. Doesn't hurt much, but it's there!]

How's this?

[Is this gonna be like cure magic?]

That's an easy one. [ Not that healing big wounds really takes much out of him either. Fixing things, for Josuke's Stand, is virtually effortless. Josuke will summon his Stand, a big pink man that will phase out of him and give Sora's cut a gentle touch. ]

Fix it, Crazy Diamond. [ The wound will close up immediately, now good as new. ]

[What just happened??

... What just happened??

Sora has no idea but it was pretty dang cool. Sora inspects his elbow and he really is all fixed up!]

Whoa!! Josuke, that's the coolest thing I've ever seen!!

[nipzips]

Really? You think so? [ It's this exact moment Josuke realises nobody ever praises him or even thanks him for healing them back home. No wonder he's feeling so good about himself after receiving praise from Sora. ]

I-I mean, of course Crazy Diamond's cool. Just look at him. [ Big, pink, manly and the coolest ghost ever. ] I'm just happy to help.

He's awesome!! [Sorry, Josuke. Around a Disney like Sora he's going to get a ton of honest praise and thanks.

He even attempts to pat the pink dude with a hand, still marvelling with wide eyes.]

Crazy Diamond!! Thanks you guys. It's good to know I've got such a cool friend like you, Josuke. If you ever need help, you better ask me too!

[ Josuke happens to come from JJBA, where almost everyone is a lowkey asshole. He's not used to this level of friendliness. ] Friends, huh ...

[ After barely 20 minutes of talking, they're friends already? He can get behind this fast-track CR. ] Yeah, I'm happy to meet you too. Don't have a lot of friends in this place yet.

[ And he'll make Crazy Diamond show Sora one of his hands, in that 'high-five' gesture. Don't leave a large ghost hanging. ] Maybe we could go around looking for a sword? Then, you could teach me how to swing it around.

[oathkeeper]

[He's gonna jump up and give that hand a high five so fast. Pah!!!]

Friends. I've got your back. [Twenty minutes is about the time Sora takes to label people as such, yes.]

Yeah, let's do it! [A beat. As much as he wants to go run around and explore right now...] Lemme check out my room and the rest of the house first. And then we'll go!
