05/04 KEITH - REQUISITE MONTHLY STUPIDITY THIS TIME WITH GEESE

[ somehow keith is dave's most reliable slash frequent questing partner at this point. maybe that should be a little strange but dave's comfortable enough around keith he feels like he's known him longer than he has. maybe it's because there are at least haphazard similarities in things they've lived through, or maybe it's because keith doesn't seem to mind any of dave's weirdness.

either way he sees a quest that requires two people with the same color and he drops by keith's place the next morning, knocking on his door.

whenever keith opens it, dave gives a little wave and says: ]

Me, you, a dozen geese?

[Dave is the same for Keith, if some sort of balance helps that out. He trusts the other boy and honestly, he's nearly immune to weirdness at this point in time. Besides, they've got some common ground it seems, and that helps.

So when he opens the door only to be immediately propositioned for questing, he's quick to nod.]

Yeah, yup. Let me get my sword.

[And once he has that.] ...is there a game plan for this, or are we winging it?

Uh. I guess we could get like...nets? [ dave clearly has no idea how the fuck to deal with geese. ] It says "catch", so maybe we should try to keep them alive. I guess.

05/04 OKUYASU - HONESTLY OKUYASU CAN'T LEARN TO BE COOLER THAN HE ALREADY IS

05/03 MINATO - BORED TEEN SEEKS OTHER TEEN TO ENTERTAIN HIM

[ the quests seem to like to go up in the evening, which means a lot of the monster hunting is out. or the geese hunting? because going to chase geese down in the dark just sounds like a bad idea.

but learning a skill or granting a wish is doable.

dave's not sure what wishes minato might have and tries not to think about wishes he himself has, so he latches on to he idea of a skill and texts minato to come over to hang out and learn something or teach something.

which is a pretty vague request, but hey. if minato comes over, he will find that there is a rooftop with blankets and pillows and also a bowl of apple slices.

[This is undoubtedly one of the safest quests. Wishes are kind of a touchy subject for a lot of people, and monster hunting is something that would be suicide to do in the dark. So it's fine.

Time Is An Illusion - MAKE A WISH, LEARN A SKILL

[Who actually knows when this occurs, but presumably it's sometime after the house party, so that Dave has had the chance to 1) try Ignis's apple concoctions and 2) enjoy them enough that somehow Ignis has offered to teach him how to make them for himself.

Which is what brings them to the kitchen of the little house in Flavo attached to the piece of property where they've started the garden, for the sake of easy harvesting of ingredients and whatnot. Ignis, fortunately, has brought his cookware and his kitchen tools with him, so all that's really left is to impart some skillz.]

All right. Have we got a few apples, then? For every one finished product you'll want to eat, you'll need two apples total — one to form the base, and one to make the glaze.

05/05 VRISKA - IT'S NOT A SUMO MONSTER

anyway. they planned this and dave knows where vriska lives because he knows where minato lives. he has no idea if the reverse is true. john may or may not have shown her where they're at, or told her - john's like that, just kind of inviting people over at random. dave only really invites over people he trusts a lot.

but regardless he shows up outside vriska's door at a reasonable hour and knocks and then just...chills outside. they planned this but the whole meet up portion was maybe loose and play it by ear because dave forgets to settle on times with people when most people don't have as good a grasp on time or as good a way to tell when the fuck it is in the town. ]
