Food Party

Be it one heard of the feast from the forum, by word of mouth, or just got drawn to the commotion, finding the feast wasn't hard to do. A little house in Ruga had all of the furniture moved outside, sans some tables and chairs-- some probably even from other empty houses to make a little dining area. "Little" being the keyword, but it wasn't like they had restaurant venues to work with. At least there was someplace to sit, right? Assuming it didn't get too popular, of course, there was always the chance of sitting outside. It was a nice day today, after all!

I. Mingle

Looks like it'll be a while before anyone's getting any food, but hey! There sure are people around here to hang out with! Besides, they did mention the chefs could use some company too, right? Or one can decide to be that weird kid at a party that holds their cup of punch in the corner and sips occasionally. Only they didn't have punch-- just water. Sorry, weird kid.

II. Cooking

Welcome to the kitchen! It had a completely different atmosphere here-- tables filled with food that was meant to be chopped or cooked or both. And, of course, the two (for now) diligent cooks working with old stoves. They're open to helping hands, or maybe just a little conversation? How about a bit of influence on what to cook, or maybe being a taste tester? Maybe one might even bring them something else to cook?

III. Feast

While some may argue that this didn't even come close to a feast, it was clear that the most was definitely made from what they had. Could anyone really complain in their situation? Deer meat, apples, potatoes, peppers, water... This may well have been a luxury at this point. Besides, show a little respect for the chefs! They worked hard on this.

There's a faint noise of protest at being pulled, but he stumbles along behind her because what else is he going to do.]

[She's always thought physical touch was reassuring!

She's ignoring his protest as she just drags him with her. At least there's no power behind it. Just a regular girl tugging him along until they get back to where the food and the party was.] Did you try any of Caramia's cooking?

[Even so this isn't something that usually happens to him. He'd rather not try to pull himself away, though, because she really isn't dragging that hard and he could easily hurt her on accident.]

Yeah, while we were workin' on stuff. He's really good, too.

[He'll just have to get used to it. Kaoru's always been very tactile, even more so because it's always been her own way of proving that she wasn't a threat, that she could touch people without hurting them.]

He is, isn't he? He even let me be the taste-tester! Minamoto always kicked us out while he's cooking.

[Rin wants to be. He's probably been pretty touched starved since Shiro passed, as Yukio isn't much for physical affection at all and most of his friends aren't much for it either.

Weird...

Not that he's just going to start randomly hugging people here. They've really only just started being friends after all.]


Some people are weird about their kitchen spaces. I had to get used to sharing mine with a stove demon at the academy dorm. He's weirdly picky about being clean.

Mhm! Ukobach! He's really nice, if you don't leave a mess for him anyway.

Well, I don't think anyone likes someone to leave a mess for them.

[Says the girl who always has someone else cleaning up her messes.]

It's so strange to think that demons are actually real where you come from.

Duh, I am one!

[He gives her a toothy grin at that, following with a laugh and a shake of his head.]

Nah, I get it. I didn't know about them until last year. My powers were sealed from the time I was born so I couldn't even seem 'em before the seal was finally broken. My story is pretty different from most exorcists.

...so wait. You didn't know you were a demon until a year ago?

[That's...not a lot of time to adjust to that!]

Eyup. My power was sealed when I was born. I found out because the seal started breaking and I started seeing demons, which were basically comin' after me. I wasn't supposed to pull the sword at first but...

[Obviously he did.]

That can't have been easy. I've had my powers since I was four and it was crazy even if I knew about psychic powers and espers already.
