[January Catch-All]
WHO: Minato and queeeests
WHERE: Everywhere!
WHEN: January
WHAT: Quests, probably other things, there's an open prompt for demon-hunting in here
[Minato's definitely hanging around the edge of the woods, and if he sees someone heading that way--]
Are you...heading out there to try to fight the demons?
[A small frown!]
... You shouldn't go alone.
[Or you can just come harass him for demon-hunting, he's here for it.]
[Hit me up via PM or
kalisona for a customized prompt!]

correct, as it should be
Suddenly he is scooped right on up by Okuni, and he blinks but doesn't even really bother squirming. Does Minato even have self-preservation issues? We just don't know.
HELLO
OKUNI.
There's now a sleepy frog flopped in her hand.]
SDLFKSD
A DEAD ONE!!!!!
But he seems to be breathing, so now satisfied, Okuni tucks sleepy Minato on top of her BIG OLE HAIR somehow trusting in the power of her hair to somehow keep Minato in place for this next part --]
I'm going to be busy for a second, so try not to fall off! I'll be very annoyed if you do.
[this next part being
Okuni finding the sturdiest, tallest tree in Chroma and then scaling up its branches like a studious squirrel........... She goes at this with half her usual speed because she doesn't want Minato to... FALL TO HIS DEATH
but she's also still climbing up a tree with a SLEEPY FROG IN HER HAIR so who knows, that could definitely still happen]
no subject
But she sticks him in her volumes of terrifying hair, and as she starts to climb he's definitely clinging.
Hm.
Yikes.
Bad.
What the fuck, Okuni.]
no subject
instead, she gets close enough to whisper romantically into his froggy ears]
I'm going to throw you down as soon as the next person comes along, so do your best to land on them properly, okay?
no subject
....
....
...............
If frogs could sigh... Minato would be sighing right now. He shouldn't even be surprised by this. In truth, he's really not. Okuni's a menace, after all, and he just... kind of makes a sad ribbit.
He won't even try to escape. It's fruitless, he knows.
This is his life now.
Ribbit.]

but the chances of that are so low, yes?? so Okuni pats Minato the frog one more time as... a preemptive apology?? as a sign of encouragement?? because she thinks sleepy blue frogs are cute?? maybe all three, then she tucks Minato more firmly into her hands as she waits for their one and only victim to come striding along
...
...
why isn't anyone coming
maybe it's because of the cold? maybe other people are being smart like Minato and having peaceful naps... inside their houses instead of outside. Okuni fidgets a little on her branch, then out of boredom... starts lightly tossing Minato up and down in her hands...]
no subject
And...
And whether the toss is just a little off or Minato wiggles a little too much it's hard to say, but he bounces... just a little outside of her hand.
And.
He's falling.
Farewell, cruel world.]

[It's a good thing Okuni has the honed instincts of a tiger, because it takes her half a second to realize that the frog tumbling down towards sweet death is definitely the frog she was bouncing around in her hands and oh wow that frog sure is falling -- this would be funny if Okuni meant this to happen!!!!!
Instead, she LAUNCHES herself out of the tree after Minato and manages to grab him by one froggy leg and --
misses the last branch with her other and ends up crash landing onto the ground ANYWAY!!!!
She does manage to not land on Minato, instead her hair somehow HELPS CUSHION HIS FALL, but for a moment she just lies there on the cold dirty ground, winded.]
no subject
And then Okuni catches him, and though they're falling, it's more controlled, until they get the ground with a quiet (hait-cushioned) thump.
And then he bounces in Okuni's hands a little.]
Okuni-san? Are you okay? Okuni-san? [Though, of course, it just comes out as "ribbit ribbit".]
no subject
[Okuni, of course, takes Minato's worried ribbits of concern as mean froggy laughter instead!!! She won't actually throw Minato into the well though, unless Okuyasu, by some miracle, appears down there for her to throw frogs at. For now, she rolls herself up and looks down at Minato still in her hands.]
...You are laughing, aren't you! Hop once for yes and twice for no -- and don't lie to me.
[BECAUSE SOMEHOW she can discern froggy lies]
no subject
The answer is basically never.
So she gets two sad, limp froggy hops from a frog that is still a little dazed from the entire drop.]
