Fairy GodKeigo

[Keigo isn't taking any chances on technicalities. A fairy godmother is a woman, and while he can't do anything about not physically being one, he does have a certain costume at his disposal. It was the ultimate in humiliation the week he was forced to wear it, but now he tells himself it's insurance. His only other vague impression of fairy godmothers is they have a magic wand. He's carrying a stick. It'll have to work.

That takes care of the fairy godmother look. As for fairy godmother actions, that's about as fuzzy as the magic wand idea, but he thinks it has something to do with giving people what they want.

His own request would be for another tin of the quest reward ointment that could have warmed him up if he hadn't already used it all up.

Regardless, Keigo, in dedicated questing mode, approaches people with a swish of his wand (he thinks it's a swish - it's more of a hand spasm) and asks:]

[Keigo has a lot of strong contenders for "worst moment of his life." Most of them involve social rejection or life-threatening peril.

But now, this. This is the worst thing. He's a frog and- No, that's it. He's a frog. It's terrible. Full stop.

Power Swap

[Keigo's "power" is more or less the ability to see ghosts, which isn't all that useful here. You can start off by tagging his offer on the forum or handwave that they set it up from there. He wouldn't agree to a trade if the powers sounded dangerous or frightening, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him? Until it does.

[He doesn't need Kaoru seeing him like this! It's bad enough she's going to hear all about it from Shiho. He feels like he may have thought this before. Or maybe it was vice versa with the danger of Kaoru telling Shiho.

His tiny frog head shakes back and forth with an emphatic no. His roommate who may or may not realize this frog is him should be around.]

.....No you don't want Kaoru-chan here? Or no, you live all alone and it's really kind of sad but there's no helping it? [Because she could touch him and figure out which it is but this isn't Shiho if she isn't teasing him a little.]

[He doesn't live alone anymore! But it was sad when they all left him! In frog, this translates to a huff and rocking back and forth while making small croaks. This does not help answer the question.]

[Yeah, she doesn't understand any of that so she'll just go ahead and make up lies.]

Hm. So you're sad and alone. So sad that you don't even want the company of two cute girls.

[Oh the conflict! Almost enough to rip his tiny frog body apart! He doesn't want the embarrassment but he never wants to turn down the company of two cute girls!

He yells out a, "Noooooooo!"

But it just sounds like more frog screaming.]

Aww... you hate the idea of us here that much, huh? [She keeps smiling brightly as she gets up, tapping a finger against her chin.]

Maybe I should just go then?

[Well, he can't communicate with her, so there's only one thing left to do.

Fling himself bodily towards her so she doesn't leave.]

That's a hard pass, Keigo. He lands on her skirt and she screeches in surprise, swatting at him out of reflex.]

[His frog feet, that were so great at grabbing when Keigo experimented with a stray branch earlier, fail him with the double attack of soft fabric and a merciless hand.

He lands on the floor and the screeching begins anew.]

[She feels bad. Even if she'd still have swatted him again given the same circumstances.

Crouching down, she carefully tries to right him.]

Sorry. But don't just... jump at people like that. Are you okay? Are you hurt?

[Physically, he's fine. His body is shock absorbent by nature, even if he's not completely used to how it works.

Mentally, these scars will last for months!]

A little flustered, she scoops him up again, cradling him carefully and putting him back on the table.]

[The world's most emotional frog swings back to pleased at being held in a cute girl's hand. She even handles him so carefully!

It's enough to let him sit on the table quietly and without flailing limbs.]

[It's kind of sad to her that he's so pleased just to be held. This boy.... err... frog.]

You're so weird. I hope someone turns you back soon though, it's no fun when you can't say anything back.

[His responding noise is a single croak: "You said it." He'd better get turned back soon!

But what did she mean by it not being fun when he can't talk back...

[It's not fun (most of the time) to be mean to someone who won't have anything to say in return, Keigo. There are only so many mean things she can say in succession before she gets bored.]

What's that look for? [She's going to reach over now and tap him on the head again.]

[He knows it's pointless (but little does he know), but he still thinks as hard as he can in her direction, "You made it sound like you have fun saying mean things and getting me worked up!"]

But it’s not like her psychometry is a huge, scary secret in the first place. Back home everyone knows what she is that it’s just been... nice sometimes to act like no one will ever find out here?

Still. She expects him to think that she’s just guessing again as she taps lightly on his little froggy forehead.]

Because I said it’s fun to say mean things to you and seeing you freak out? You should try it sometime, it’s actually fun, I promise.

[If it's so obvious she can figure it out immediately, then why couldn't she realize and not say it!

And how is he supposed to try it out when he's the one freaking out!]

I'm sorry. I just like looking for frog expressions too much.

[The problem is he's not sure if this is a laughing with him or laughing at him situation.

His expression settles somewhere between angry frog and saddest frog in the world. Let's just call it pouting frog.]

[Frogs can't laugh, can they? Therefore it can only be one of those.

If anything, his pouting frog face only makes her laugh more and she brings up one hand to block her view of him because she knows if she looks at him again she's only going to laugh more.]

That just inspires a new round of frog screaming.]

S-Stop, my stomach hurts from laughing too much.
