They heave out a sigh as they watch the other straight up prepare for battle, gloved hands going to their side so they can unbuckle the boxy sheath for their saw and draw it out, black obsidian glinting in the light. The way they toss the sheath aside could almost read careless (it is just wood afterall), but they're quick to return to their professional aura when they set the blade in the dirt with both hands. It's nearly half their height.
"Look, I don't want you just coming at me to spar. You're supposed to be learning something from this, and what's the point of us fighting each other for no reason? Are we supposed to just stop whenever we feel like it."
That's a rhetorical question.
"Why don't you try to... disarm me, or something like that."
