t seems like just another day in this place. It's chilly, but not miserable, and there's a bit of holiday cheer in the form of a few of those trees people have managed to decorate.
Of course...there's also the shades, but who cares about those?
They wander, drifting too and fro, following their usual, typical lives as if they have no idea that they're not longer alive, no longer in their own proper home. They walk over the frozen lake in Flavo as if it's not even there, open doors that no longer exist, and settle into rooms that are nothing but rubble.
They're living in a past that only they can see, but perhaps you can see a bit more from watching them?
Only... maybe don't spend too much time with them, lest you start seeming too much like a ghost yourself.

Yeah! It's really cute. He found an egg and didn't know what was inside, so I offered to help in case it was dangerous. I saw it hatch.

[Although the second time he went to pet it after already being bitten once, so that was kind of his own fault.]
I went into the forest to look for other dragons, but I couldn't find any. So I guess it might be the same dragon.
no subject
Maybe... these visions aren't of a definite future. [ She says carefully. ] Maybe they are only warnings.
In which case, that dragon can be raised differently to-- [ To not attack the town? ] ...To keep the town safe. [ Or so she hopes. ]

[And Akira finds the idea of killing any baby creature generally upsetting, so he won't let anyone lay a finger on it, as far as he's concerned.]
Keigo was worried. But if anything happens and a dragon does attack, we can all deal with it together. There are people here strong enough to handle it.

Do you believe that a dragon can learn to protect humans, instead of harming them?
no subject
[He frowns, casting his mind back to some unpleasant recent memories.] I know what it's like to be feared just because of what you look like, or what you are. If no one gives it a chance, we won't ever know if it can learn.
no subject
[ That's how it must be. A dragon, even raised by humans, may prove too dangerous to control. The dragon might not even realize that it's hurting those around it. The dragon might not be in complete control itself. But it's still too dangerous to live.
She's not really thinking about the dragon anymore. ]
I'm grateful that there are such strong people here, to protect us just in case.

[And now he has the dubious title of Egg Husband forever, so he has to live up to it. Pyra seems to be thinking about this very seriously, though, so Akira looks up at her with concern.]
You're not worried, are you? I didn't mean to tell you any of that to freak you out.
no subject
I was just thinking that you really are a good person, that's all. To want to protect both Keigo... and the dragon.
no subject
[He makes what is presumably his idea of a Scary Monster Face, making claws with his hands as if to grab Pyra.]
no subject
Now you're the scarier monster. Careful, you might just get the town to come after you instead.
no subject
I'll try not to let that happen.
no subject
[ How do you like them apples? ]
no subject
[...Is she good at fighting, period? He's never even thought to ask, come to think of it.]
no subject
Oh, my, torches and pitchforks? How scary. [ Sassy Pyra is best Pyra. ]
no subject
I'll remember not to get on your bad side.
no subject
And, then, even if she's smiling, she speaks a little more soberly: ] No pitchforks are going to harm someone I care about... I promise.
no subject
It's okay, Pyra. I was just kidding around.
[He's touched to hear that she cares about him, but he also doesn't want her worrying without cause.]
