t seems like just another day in this place. It's chilly, but not miserable, and there's a bit of holiday cheer in the form of a few of those trees people have managed to decorate.
Of course...there's also the shades, but who cares about those?
They wander, drifting too and fro, following their usual, typical lives as if they have no idea that they're not longer alive, no longer in their own proper home. They walk over the frozen lake in Flavo as if it's not even there, open doors that no longer exist, and settle into rooms that are nothing but rubble.
They're living in a past that only they can see, but perhaps you can see a bit more from watching them?
Only... maybe don't spend too much time with them, lest you start seeming too much like a ghost yourself.

Her looks is nothing short of earnest in return: ] ....These words.... if you truly feel them-- you must absolutely tell her. [ She says insistently. ] For people leave here without warning, don't they? And if they come back, they might forget or might be different. So that's why--.... that's why, even if it may be difficult to tell her how you truly feel, you must say it.
[ HAVE NO REGRETS AND FOLLOW YOUR HEART, in other words. But Pyra herself has had quite a life so far without getting to say what she truly felt to others, too. It feels a little hypocritical for her to be telling him this, but she pushes those thoughts aside. ]

Finally, he takes a deep, shuddering breath and says, gazing into her eyes: ]
I am so very fond of you. I feel so fortunate that we've met. Every time I see you, my heart is transported with joy. Your kindness, your grace, and your beauty are peerless on heaven and earth. No matter what happens between us, I want you to know that.
eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
She thinks... She thinks that she would have been very happy to hear them for herself... but she knows she would be entirely undeserving of it.
Her heart (metaphorical heart, that is), feels heavier than one of the Titan-continents, and only the sudden tightness coiled around it preventing it from moving-- from sinking entirely. She closes her eyes, willing his words to be ingrained in her memory. To feel that strongly about someone else is a beautiful, powerful thing. ] ....That was lovely.
[ What can she do but smile at him, the glow of her crystal gently dancing upon her chest. ] She would be a fool to not be moved by those words. [ She doesn't know this Maya but?? She's both envious of her and happy for her. ]

His whole life, he'd been a flirt, but nothing more. Never before had he known the anxiety of wondering what was in another person's heart. In truth, he hadn't had long to even be anxious. It was this conversation that made him aware of what he's been feeling. Knowing he doesn't love Maiden Maya; being sure of that, because he does love someone else. This person, before him right now, who just a moment ago seemed deeply moved with her eyes closed. What is she thinking? He can't guess.
And then.... She would be a fool not to be moved by those words.
...
Pyra... she thinks he's talking about Maya! No, that can't be right. She knows, she must know. This is her way of letting him down gently. Too kind to turn him down directly, she's left him some face. This little fiction will allow them to still be friends. Someone like her... he was mad to think she might like him. Absolutely out of his mind. ]
Thank you.
[ He forces a smile. He's good at it, from long habit. There isn't a trace of sadness anywhere on his face. ]
For listening.
[ At least she heard his confession, even if she pretended not to understand. He's grateful to her for that, at least. ]

But why is it that she feels as if she has suddenly lost something? ] ...Always.
[ Pyra withdraws one of her hands, placing it upon the crystal at her chest, hidden beneath the red cloth of the holiday outfit. ] We are... close, you and I. [ Not to the extent of an actual connection between Driver and their Blade, for if they were she would be able to truly see past his smile and know the sadness there, but close enough that she feels that what they have now is important. And that she will forever and always fight for what they do have. ]
Don't forget that.
