All Might & Ari | 11/3

[With all of the practice in the kitchen he's getting while in Chroma, Izuku figures his mom's going to be plenty surprised when he shows up at home a much better cook than he was when he left it several months ago. The thought makes Izuku smile as he places the pumpkin soup on the table.]

Hey, Ari-kun? [Izuku glances toward the one who'd invited him over in the first place, pausing in the middle of moving the fish.] Who else is coming tonight?

[ Ari is grateful for Izuku's help in the kitchen. His own cooking skills are very rudimentary, mostly gleaned from years of watching his mother putter around the kitchen, so having someone who knows what they're doing helps make the quality of the meal less of a gamble.

Since Izuku is carrying the food, Ari grabs the eating utensils in an effort to be helpful. ]

> "Oh, just you."

[ The boy smiles as if this is completely normal?? ]

> "I mean, it won't be just you and me because Toshinori lives here too, but if you're talking about people I invited, just you."

Minato, Percy, & Shouto | 11/7

[After Minato agrees to let them experiment with the locket, getting everyone together is easy enough to do. Izuku holds the vial of mysterious liquid up and sloshes it around lightly as they all settle down around the well. It seems fitting that they would do this here, where Vriska had found the thing in the first place.]

Okay, let's see if this does anything. [Izuku looks around at the others.] Who wants to do the honors? [A pause.] We should be ready in case something happens, though.

[expulsions]

[His eyes are watching the vial curiously, and while he kind of just wants to grab it he figures being polite is more effective...for now.]

Depends. How exactly are we doing this?

[Minato is honestly just here as Bearer of the Locket, so... he shrugs a little.]

You guys are the ones who got it...

[Obviously it should be one of them?]

Percy | 11/1

[Though he and Percy did the sacrifice quest a little while ago, both of them take the time to really think about what they could use their reward for. It's been known that they help restore the color around town when they fulfill quests, but this is the first time that he and anyone else have actually been aware of it before it happened. And they have a choice.

The idea strikes him just a couple days before the new quests are due to appear.]

Jackson-kun! I think I know what I want to try restoring color to.

[Jackson-kun. Is he ever going to get used to that? Maybe not, but he's quick to reply anyway.]

yeah? what kind of idea did you come up with?

Did you notice that the well is colored now? If even something like the well can be restored, what if we tried something like the harbor?

It might make it safer for people to go in without freezing once it's back to normal.

Shouto | Quest 34

[inheritance]

[As usual, Izuku scrolls through the quest post as soon as he notices the new ones have been added. 35 makes him pause suspiciously, with a mental note to think about what that might actually mean, but 34 sends a wave of amusement through him.]

Shouto. [He turns in his chair, a playful look in his eyes.] I think we could finish this one pretty quickly.

[glaciers]

[Once Shouto actually looks over the list, he'll note that it all looks... worrying. But for the moment he's just looking at quest 34.

They've done that every single day, haven't they?

Shouto lifts up the blanket and gestures for Izuku to join him.]

Cuddle up with me.

Okay. [The laptop gets turned off and abandoned at the desk readily. Once Izuku slips under the blanket, he wraps his arms around Shouto and cuddles in close, like he always does now.

Easiest quest ever, honestly. It's not like this is a hardship for either of them.]

This quest is nice. I'm a little worried about the one after it, though.

Dave | Quest 33

[inheritance]

[When another set of animal tracks catches Izuku's attention, he leans down to get a better look at it. It's not the first set they've found since they started the quest, though thankfully, they haven't been out in the forest looking for too long. Yet.]

This one could be it. [He squints at the tracks with an accompanying tilt of his head.] What do you think, Dave-kun?

I mean...sphinxes are like, giant cats, right?

[ are they looking for giant cat tracks, is what he means. ]

Right... so they should look like cat tracks! Except a lot bigger.

[More squinting at the tracks, this time accompanied with a tilt of the head.] It does kind of look like the paw prints Deku leaves behind.

[Ugh, it's still weird calling his cat that, even after months.]

Nico | Quest 33

[If there's anything good about the way Izuku's mind tends to analyze information constantly, it's that he usually feels a bit more prepared by the time he takes certain quests on.

He's lingering around the edge of the forest, sketching a rough picture of a sphinx and jotting down a few notes, when Nico comes across him.] Hey, di Ang--I mean, Nico-kun. [Izuku smiles at him, sheepish at the way he'd fallen back on formalities again.] Going into the forest for something?

[ For years, Nico has been something of a loner. Going off on his own and doing things by himself. While he has decided to stop that, stop pushing people away, the teen still likes having time alone every now and then.

Or to at least go see Percy's huge hellhound outside of town. ] Sort of. One of my friends from home went missing so we've been checking to make sure she isn't just lost out there.

[ As much as he wants to believe that Sadie actually went back home, Nico will keep looking. Just in case. ]

Oh. [The smile disappears, leaving behind a look of concern. There's a sad sort of understanding, too. He's been here long enough to lose several people from home, and it never gets easier.] I can help you check. What's her name?

[He has no idea if he'll recognize the name Nico gives him, but there's harm in asking.]

Michael | Quest 33

[Somehow, Izuku isn't surprised at all when he runs into Michael at the library again. With a sunny smile, he starts pushing the books he's gathered to the side to make room at his table.]

Want to join me, Mell-kun?

[Even at a glance, it's easy to tell what Izuku's up to when the books he's been going through have been opened to pages with information on sphinxes.]

[retrobeats]

[ Michael was just on his way past with a couple books of his own in his arms, and he can't help but smile back at how Izuku's already clearing space at his table. ]

Oh hey, Izuku, fancy seeing you around here. [ with a goofy chuckle, he drops into the chair by the cleared space. ] Sure, I'll bite. Whatcha got for the book club today?

[ he's already glancing curiously over at the open books on the table. sphinxes, huh? looks like somebody's thinking about questing...! ]

Nothing much! Just some research on sphinxes.

[With a wave of his hand, he gestures at the books he's spread out in front of him.]

Thought I should do some reading up before I tried to take on that quest. It makes me feel like I'm better prepared to handle whatever happens.

Quest 32 - Nov. 4

As soon as Tonbokiri saw the new quests the evening of the 3rd, he knew exactly to whom he wanted to show his appreciation to. But the question was, how.
Usually he would ask for advice, but he felt like this quest was directing him to do it entirely himself. So he thought it over carefully overnight, and finally settled on something the afternoon of the next day. Once the necessary materials were granted to him, he made his way to Midoriya-dono’s home. (After being at Maya's. Ladies first.)

Without hesitation he comes up and knocks on the door, one hand carefully holding the gift, plainly wrapped in greyscale cloth. (He perhaps should have asked for a proper furoshiki, too! But he’s glad with what he got.)
“Pardon the imposition, but is Midoriya-dono at home?”

Surprisingly, it takes longer than usual for Tonbokiri to get any kind of answer from within the house. Before he can wait too long, though, the sound of unsteady footsteps reaches him, and the door finally swings open.

Izuku, looking like he's seen better days, blinks at him from behind the door. "Ton..bokiri-san...?" he asks, the brief flash of confusion only adding to how unwell he looks. Even his voice sounds softer than usual, lacking a good amount of energy.

Wow, it is very unusual that his two energetic friends are both down sick on the same day, isn't it! But more importantly than dwelling on that, he leans forward in concern.

"Midoriya-dono! My apologies for making you get up. Please, return to your bed and rest. Can I bring you anything? More blankets, perhaps?"

Damian | 11/10

[It's been quiet for a little while, the two of them focused on pushing through the forest rather than small talk--not that the mood would be right for it at the moment. Izuku glances at Damian now, feeling a pang of sympathy in his chest. Going deep into the forest after a close friend disappears isn't the wisest decision, but Izuku knows that chances are, he wouldn't have been able to talk Damian out of it. At the least, he's able to come along and keep Damian company.

First of all, it's Damian, and Izuku would've offered anyway, but knowing that Damian had actually reached out to him makes it even more important to stick with him through this rough patch.]

Oh. [It's uttered in surprise as they push past a thick, low-hanging branch and come face to face with a swamp.] Maybe we should find a way around it.

[Easier said than done, though. The swamp stretches into the distance for quite a while.]

[Though not unexpected, Damian is almost completely silent most of their trek. It's obvious he's not unfocused; there seems to be a lot going on inside his head, a lot he's thinking about. He looks... intense, to say the least.

But the sudden stop because of the swamp brings him out of his head and glancing around. Great. The swamp itself is as bad as the forest--wide and open and endless.] Don't bother.

There isn't going to be any other way. [Not that Jon had exactly left behind a trail anyway, but it feels... daunting to run into water and muck. No tracks. No signs.

Both hands fist at his sides. Without hesitation (or warning), he steps right down into the swamp and keeps going. He won't give up on his friend? He won't. The leather, medieval-looking jacket he's wearing with the glittering, colored and shielded S stitched into the back is a testament to that.

The one he shredded the Robin outfit to make specifically for Jon.]
