That's very kind of you.
[He starts a fire and moves the pot over it, waiting for it to get to a boil before throwing everything else in.]

A friend for you, after you gave up your can to the well before.

This... is wonderful.
It's really for me? [He sounds so surprised by it as he takes it from her hands and just hugs it.]

[ the slightest laugh can't help but be drawn out at such an adorable display of affection for the sardine. seeing an ancient vampire be so taken by a little plush toy is heart-warming. so typical of his earnestness. ]

[And have it on his person at all times, because that's just the kind of demon he is.
Strangely he feels a lot better now that he's got the fish in his possession.]
It seems it's good luck too. My sickness seems to be lifting.
[Weird, but Chroma is. He won't examine it for that long.]

[ and then she has to stop mid-sentence to sneeze - achoo - and sniff after ]
Aha, that's a relief. I'm glad you feel better.
[ her, not so much. ]

[Zelda will have to suffer for a while longer.]
I hope you enjoy it.

[ she wants to offer help, but with her sickness it isn't a good idea for her to touch any food. pity. ]

[ and she'll head to his living room to sit on the sofa. and though she intends to stay awake and wait for him, it doesn't really take more than a few minutes for her to start nodding off. she didn't get a lot of sleep while making that toy, and her sickness is making her unable to handle it as she normally could.
so without thought of anything she falls asleep, easily despite being in his home. if she had the better sense to care, she'd scold herself for being rude. but he won't mind, as he never seems to. ]

Still, he sets one of his capes over her shoulders until the stew is finished.
A good thirty minutes later he's ladled some into bowls and brings it over to her, gently shaking her shoulder.]
The meal is ready.

[ her eyes scrunch and then open, vision blurry for a few seconds as she awakens from interrupted sleep. she... fell asleep? that's not good. she yawns and rubs her face, and when she stretches out her arms she realizes there's a cape on her shoulders. definitely one of his. ]
Was I out for too long? Sorry -- the soup smells good.
[ she feels bad, a guest shouldn't just fall asleep in someone's home like that. she pushes the cape a little off her, but immediately brings it back up because she feels so cold. the spicy elixir she drank must have worn off while she slept. ]

You weren't. You've no need to apologize. You said you were sick. This is natural.
[He assumes. He definitely wanted to stay in bed while he was brought down by a cold.]
Go ahead and eat.
[He holds the bowl over to her.]
It's my understanding that food helps as well.

[ she pulls the bowl a little closer to herself on the table and takes a spoonful, blowing gently before taking it in. she hums light and swallows, smiling at him before dipping the spoon back in for more. ]
It's good. You mixed it well.

Hmhm... Fenrich is usually the one that does the cooking. This is new to me.

[ her opinion is colored by the fact that he made it to help her, and it's working too. as she eats she's beginning to feel a lot stronger than before, the illness fading away rather quickly. maybe she just needed a good meal? ]
no subject
[There's a small smile as he remembers him.]
How are you feeling?
no subject
[ she says between bites, her bowl nearly finished now. it's warm and flavorful, but it seems very odd to feel better so quickly! ]
You didn't happen to put anything in here besides the normal ingredients?
no subject
There's no medicine in there, at least, none that I know about.

[ and with one more sip, the soup is all gone. ]

[AKA, he has no idea what a normal stomach takes and he probably over did it.
Oh well, Minato can have some when he comes home.]
